Remind me of this when I turn 21

Hummel is one of those guys I can't wait to see. He doesn't do anything fancy but is solid at anything.
-
Just come on down to Mario's house.
-
Ya, Murcie, Mario and I. Were hoping to have access to the net during most of the trip. Right now I just got back from Downtown Chicago As far as the site, before I left I put it on a new server, but we haven't transferred to it. Things should be fine, but I have Alex all set up.

Here are the final totals for the month of July and let me just say I was shocked: 3,996,867

Cotts and Reed will definately be here next year. I think Everett will likely be gone and at one point in time Jeremy will become the Sox starting centerfielder. The question is what if Borchard catches fire, cause if thats the case he'll play center with Reed probably getting a full year in AAA (Couldn't hurt, especially considering he will only play half a year of AA). I guess its too hard to call right now, but your right munoz will probably be up at some point in time next year. At 21 he is still amazingly young for AAA. I just hope he doesn't go to pitch in WinterBall again, he needs a summer off to freshen up his arm.

Lol...I still remember when that commercial came out umpteen years ago. I swear I was like 12 then, maybe younger. It will always go down as an all time classic. Lol...I'd love to see him wear that cap just as a joke. That would be classic. I hope he's reading this and I hope he can play next season so he can reach the 500 homer plateau, although I think if he gets 500 he'll be the first 500 home run hitter left out of the hall. It will either be Mcgriff or Palmerio (just my 2 cents).

In the recent trib article it mentions how Kenny is considering Cotts for the 5th starters spot, but is expected to go with Wright because the Mariners hit lefties much better then they do righties. So I guess its probably 90% that Wright will be back up with the big club on Saturday. I hope he does better this time at Safeco then he did in his debut start. As far Neal: Williams says he needs to work on his control, but other then that it looks like Kenny pretty much thinks Neal can get the job done. I agree with Kenny's assesment and I think if Neal is needed up here this year that he will get the job done. And until Neal is up with the Sox, I hope he continues to improve his control while working deeper into games. I'm so looking forward to having Reed and Honel up here next year...but for now I got this year on the mind

Looks pretty damn good to me Cali. By the way, you gonna be at any of the Angel-Sox games?
-
Ya...he's a volunteer officer right now. He's been doing it for a few years now.
-
Ya, sorry I haven't replied yet (Been packing; Gonna be in Chicago tomorrow at 1 ), but I think you made some good points with it. I'm gonna think long and hard before implementing it. I want to make sure that people can keep the discussion going there. The only reason I thought it would be nice is because a lot of the time those threads fall into the second and 3rd pages on real quick days and a lot of people may miss the box scores and such.

Just remember, there is nothing easy about putting your life on the line everyday. Things may seem easy but at any moment something could happen and for that I thank police officers, fire fighters, the military, etc.

I saw somewhere in the 60's on today at one time. Most was on the 1st of july which was during the peak of the Kenny Speculation.

I use the same...what the hell do I need like 3 screennames on at the same time for anyway

Thank goodness he killed a Vlad dael to the Yanks. I think the Expos will try and resign Vlady but its going to be hard to do it without an ownership group in place. Expos will be easier to sell with a superstar like Vlad on board. In regards to the Boone trade, it doesn't really look all that bad. Think if your the Reds, you get a ton of money, a guy that can come in and start immediately and another prospect. Its a better long term solution then Freddy Garcia who they wouldn't resign.
-
He's looked really good to me and from the quotes he had he seems to have a good attitude.
-
Doesn't matter. Use him as a defensive replacement along with Harris and Rowand. Let him pinch run at times or step in and pinch hit. Its hard to say how much he will play, it all depends on where the Sox are at that time. Its not like he'll be getting held out of minor league games (Since the season would be over).
-
OH yes it will

ref your first sentence???? pls explain ref to large market, you deal from strength and not weakness. when you have a success and are coming from the position of success, you can make deals like the yanks have always done. By groups I meant the ownership groups, meaning that he doesn't have some huge enterprise thats making hundreds of millions, so he can't take a huge operating loss every year. JR is a business man and a damn good one at that. He's one of the rare owners in baseball that isn't screwing up the game (Minus the Albert Belle signing, which was to shove it in the face of the rest of the owners). If more of the owners operated like him, Arod wouldn't of got 25 million and baseball wouldn't be as screwed up. There are negatives to him too, but all in all I don't have a flaw with JR. I can't ask him to lose 15 mill a year of his own money.
-
Think of how rare it is to hear these two words together. I think thats why he's the Sox best prospect.
-
U make that graphic? Its really cool

Koch was overworked for a long time and I think thats the cause of this drop in velocity, etc. Mechanically he's looked fine to me and I've noticed him keeping the ball down more, but anytime he leaves it up they make him pay by hammering it. I got a lot of confidence in Billy...and yep I'm one of the few, but I got a tendency to like a guy that most people don't.

Vazquez will be claimed on waivers. For those who have said el duque has been average... El duque has not threown a ball yet. People, El duque is over 40. He's lied about his age. I know a player who played onthe Pr National team and started playing when he was 20 and el duque was older and the person is 38 right now I don't disagree with you. See, I don't think its Livan because Kenny says the player would be claimed if placed on waivers and we all know that Livan would go right through waivers. That tells me it was Garcia (Never heard Kenny was too hot after him, but he could of been; Problem is the Mariners would of wanted a major league hitter in return and I don't see Williams moving one of our offensive starters). Then there was Escobar and I think that was a possibility and the only other one was Vazquez. I'd bet with pretty good confidence that it was either Escobar or Javier and I think we'll see him go after them again this offseason and if either get through waivers we'll see him try and maybe just nab him.
-
JR has these groups mainly to make his living now (From what I understand, I could be wrong) so he can't really take a huge loss every year. I think if Kenny does what I think he's done and will continue to do, we'll see the Sox acting like a more large market team in no time. But by large market I'm not saying an over 100 mill salary. I think things can be done without going that high in payroll and I can only hope that 100 mill becomes a soft cap by the next bargaining agreement with 45 mill the low end.
-
And the Sox will get that too when Koch eventually leaves. Also I'm not sure if Oak offers Foulke arbitration cause most likely he'd get a raise from the 6 mill he was already paying and I got a feeling Oaklands ownership is gonna want to cut payroll since their attendance hasn't been too hot this year. Whose to say Foulke is gonna get 6.5 or 7 mill in a multi year deal? Right now I think he'd be really lucky to get that on the open market, but if he is offered arb I think he gets 7 mill. It all depends on ownership if you ask me, but I see Foulke getting 5 mill a year for about 3 years.
