Damn Threets is a LHP too. Rated 10 by BA while Cain is 11th. As high as 103. They say he is the hardest thrower out their (Majors, Minors, College). They also say thats all he has going for him, so he is a major project right now. Came from Randy Johnsons home town. Great potential, thats for damn sure.
  2. Joe is gonna be awesome. I see him as a very similar player to Scott Rolen.
  3. I can not wait to cast my vote for Arnold. So far the democrats have said they back Davis and wont put anyone on the recall ballot. I doubt that actually happens. The thing is, in a recall, its just majority wins, no one has to have over 50% of the vote or anything like that. I sure hope the people vote Davis out of office. He is a terrible governor.

Cain has an excellent fastball (Supposedly as high as 100) and he has a developing slider and changeup. He is basically a major project at this point. Was a first round pick in 2002. Never have really followed him so I don't know how he did this year. Last year he pitched in 19 innings so its hard to say what he can do. He also featured a curveball in the past, dont' know if he still throws it. Looks like he has tremendous upside though. Only 18.
  5. hey mother f***er.... where did you get that picture of my wife I think you aught to let your wife in on that one

Are you saying that the Blue Jays have been thrown out every time, because that's not possible. 17 times sucessfully, 17 times unsucessfully.

I noticed one thing, Marte has more blown saves this year or just as many as Billy Koch. Marte has blown six, hasn't Koch blown the same?

You guys extremely underestimate the value of Bartolo Colon. Foppert...Ainsworth...Williams Thats who u get. That will never happen in a million years. I'll say this, Rueter, Schmidt, Moss and Colon puts them over the top. I think they are tempted. The Sox probably only get two of those guys and one mid level guy, but it would be worth it in my mind. Still, I'd hold out for all three.

Its a tough rational. I do it because I think it means Reiny will allow some other things to happen. Its also because I think Williams and Foppert are good enough to pitch right now and win games with the Sox down the stretch, giving the Sox a solid fifth, which allows Porzio or Wright to move to the bullpen.

Williams: 5-1 with a 2.93 ERA with 10 starts with the Giants this year. The guy is only 21 years old. The kid is a freaking stud. Ainsworth is potentially out for the season but he's really good too. The Sox would add 3 guys to their rotation for next season, meaning Wright can fully become the closer while the Sox could let Colon walk and go with Buehrle, Loaiza, Garland and 2 of the 3 Giant hurlers with one moving to the pen or pitching in AAA getting more seasoning. i know what you are saying but his attitude has me wondering. if this is the case and we go for the trade and ainsworth is out then ask for that kid francisco lariona(sp) The thing is, Ainsworth had an ERA under 4 at the majors this year prior to the injury. Sox get Ainsworth, Foppert and Williams and they get three guys that are capable of starting next year and capable of being excellent. Two have proven themselves at the major league level, while Foppert was awesome in his last start against Colorado.

  16. LMAO. He's got you there Ian They look like Skittles to me. M&M's are better though at least in Blizzards they are.

I'm working on a piece right now that would have the Sox buying and selling. Lets just say they move Colon, but add a few other pieces. I wouldn't have a problem with it either, if Foppert, Ainsworth and Williams are coming over.

That makes more sense. Then I'd see the A's acquire Suppan to be the 5th starter.

6 Mill this year and next.
  20. Chisoxfn replied to LDF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Agreed. I really think Olivo will have Pudge-like offensive development. Every year we will see him get better and eventually he'll be one of the best offensive catchers in the game and the BEST defensive catcher in the game.
  21. That was awesome or as Harold Reynolds would say LUCK. Neyer did say we need some LADY LUCK.
  22. Chisoxfn replied to LDF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd think that would be a 3 team deal, I don't see why the Jays would need Drew.
  23. Chisoxfn replied to LDF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd almost guarantee it would be a minor leaguer. But I don't see Beane giving up Blanton for Escobar. Why not just get Suppan for less. Unless they plan on making Escobar the closer next year.
  24. Chisoxfn replied to LDF's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Blanton is a stud prospect, it would be close to the Sox giving up Honel in the move. So I say HECK NO.
