He's got an ERA of around 3 this month. I'd pitch him another inning. Then you turn it over to Glover who would be asked to go 4 innings or so max if he can keep going and the game keeps going. But you still got to go one inning at a time. Right now I'd be very tempted for a hit and run. Very easy to steal on a knuckleballer and generally it is easy to make contact.

That was very pretty. Jose would of 4 hopped that. Man, that is the second straight game Frank has looked horrible recognizing the breaking ball. Magglio ripped a single, keeping his hitting streak going. Maggs has had a great approach at the plate.

I don't have a clue, Wunsch looked lost from the get go. I got to say this is really weird. Manuel is actually using pinch hitters and playing the matchups. He never has been big on pinch hitting guys just because a lefty is going with the lefty. I'm the opposite, I tend to play the matchups unless a guy is having a hell of a game. I like how Graff was in for Daubach and that Konerko is in for Jose. I can't even begin to think of how many times Jose has faced a lefty this season, even though we could of pinch hit for him late in the game.

No matter what, Flash has pitched good in this game. Gave up one dinky ass hit where there was nothing you could do. Struck out two.

Wunsch has not been good lately, but he was great for a while. Like I said earlier I would of went with Flash and Marte, but I'm not managing.

If you look at it, our offense really wasn't changed much in the off-season. Most of our biggest moves were to solidify our pitching (Colon, Loaiza, Koch, White, Gordon), while offensively we really only made minor moves (Rios, Daubach). Kind of ironic that so far, our pitching has been pretty good (although inconsistent), while it's been our offense that, like you said, has cost us big time. Like I have said KW did a hell of a job. Offensively this team is weak, it isn't that the playesr suck, although they aren't producing, its just that it isn't the right mix. You want some power, some speed, some defensive players and mixed in that group some guys that can lay bunts, etc. Olivo is the only guy on this team that can consistently get a bunt down. Bunts were one thing I loved about Rowand; boy was he awesome at that. I'd say Rios and White are two guys I'd be more then willing to move. Konerko is the guy I would move though to find a centerfielder (I love what Joe is doing though considering, but its really early).

Guess I was a little late. Backman needs to be on his way up here. I'd like DJ more as a manager then Hawk, although I like Hawk so much. Still, just hearing Hawk say he likes Munson more then Choi was enough for me. Choi and Nady are my two favorites on that rookie list offensively. Well Rocco Badelli is absolutely amazing for a guy that can't even draw a freakin walk.

It helps, but to get this team going, they have to bring in a player or two (Offensive side) that has great fundementals and can help this team when the big bats aren't going.

I've been a huge Wright fan since the first time I saw him pitch. This guy has ace stuff and I think he can turn into a real workhorse too. We really have a hell of a rotation, especially when Buehrle picks things up. If I'm the Sox I don't touch the pitching staff other then White and then move up Almonte or Rauch (i would love letting Rauch ease in via the pen). The Sox should make their move on the offensive end without moving any pitchers (Other then White).

Yes it was, and the thing is, its really so so easy when you get the leadoff man on. I'd say 30% of the time you should score and thats a very conservative %. If the stats were there I'd say the Sox do it 8% of the time, maybe. I may of missed a game, but I know i haven't seen this all year. IT made me feel all giddy, lol. Geeze, watching baseball the way it was supposed to be played for an inning.
