  1. ya know not that i want him in the 4th spot but.. i think that he and colon should be split by 1 or 2 spots anyhow.... why put your 2 best up back to back when you can spread out the wins instead??? jmho............ You don't want them split because the two will make eachother better when pitching back to back. They both have completely different pitching styles and one is a lefty the other a righty. Colon the power pitcher, Buehrle the guy with a ton of pitches that goes quick and uses his control. It will be real hard for teams to adjust to the contrasting styles. Neither cared who started first, Sox fans complained that Buehrle should be the #1 and thats what happened. Supposedly the pitchers new about it a long time ago.
  2. The one big reason the Valentine loss was big was we don't really have many right handed hard throwing relief prospects that are close. Now if we get Gary Majewski back, then we will have another to team up with the changeup-low 90 fastball pitcher Almonte. Still, its nice having a ton of lefties. Of course we have plenty of hard throwing starters out there, that could eventually move to the pen.
  3. I thought it was real interesting too. I learned a good deal from it and am looking forward to Chris's next segment.
  4. Heather, the terms that drove Rivals into the ground a while back were much different then this current crew. As Mario said we discussed this with them quite a bit. We entered the whole thing thinking there was no way we'd make the move, but after hearing it made so much sense. We could provide better content, update stuff quicker, get the stuff out on a more national level, and really make an even better place for all you guys and gals to get your info and talk White Sox baseball. Don't worry, if things ever turn out not to look good, we'll do all we can to get things set back in the right direction. We don't anticpate any problems like that. To make their story short, they weren't there when Rivals was smashed into the ground. This guys were the original founders of Rivals and were there during their in the beginning. Now they are founding this network and its going to be sweet or thats what we believe. The college and NFL segments are already huge and baseball is the next step.

I noticed the same thing. I didn't see any quotes that really stated the obvious. It seemed to me like this guy giving an opinion on a few short words and what the context of the words were, we don't know.

  8. No, does it show on your computer?
  9. Nope. I look at the thing your posting and it says that it is not found on that server.
  10. Haven't tried it, but I will try the Sox game tomorrow. For some reason I thought it was going to be on on Friday. Its eve nbetter if its Thursday since I'm off of work then.
  11. He continues as "Lead Developer" as well as being on of the minor league guru's and 3rd in command at SoxNet.net and Soxtalk.com
  12. If I recall this is typicaly Frank. Usually he doesn't play that much early on in spring. He likes spending more time in the cages (I think). Plus he knows that Daubach and company are all contending for jobs so JM is trying to get those guys a lot more ab's. Thomas is also coming back from his tooth thing and its probably still bugging him a bit. He'll really pick up his ab's starting around the 17-20th, just my hunch.
  13. From whta I see the link you put in is wrong cause it didn't work when I tried copying the source.
  14. Well remember, you got to register and all that stuff so its not super easy to troll. I don't think we have to worry about it though, and if there is a problem, we'll get rid of it. We have a ton of admins on board and during the day one of them is typically around and would see it.
  15. Yeah, I'm a newbie too, so I'm not really sure what to expect when the games start to count. But, I'll still do the updates as long as I can and as long as they are wanted. During the regular season it is typically the same way. Someone usually will fill in with updates and stuff. The chatroom is also always open as well, but the best way for updates for everyone is via the board so people can catch up on it that aren't there the whole time. Of course the board is a whole lot bigger this season that it was for parts of last season
  16. ...curious....how much do you guys have to filter out, anyway?....I mean, how many Cub/Tribe/Twinkie fans try to come on a f*** with the boards? Pretty much none. We really do stick to our stance that we never have to delete any posts. I think we have deleted like 10 posts in the entire time the board has been opened.
  17. The new boards will continue to be like all others because the awesome Sox fans that post on them will still be there. Its you guys that make these boards rock. I think we got the smartest Sox fans on the net here. Tons of intelligent on topic conversation and then anything you want to discuss in the off topic area. Things will be no different with the switch. We'll still be running the board like always and we don't anticipate any garbage from other teams posters.
  18. Tie

Searching for a link that will most likely only give you the score, and if you're lucky tell you who did well in the game while I slaved for 3 hours doing a hitter-by-hitter recap of what happened as it happened? I'm hurt. And yes, the Sox were down 4-1 and 6-4, and managed to come back and earn a tie in 11 innings. Clujer rocks at his updates.
  19. I think its Scott Morgan.
  20. and Koch has pitched real good while Neal Cotts had one good game one bad one.
  21. Nope. Our crack team of admins will stay as leniant as it gets with our posters, but we'll oust any and all trolls that come over to start crap. Now if they just want to talk civilized baseball, thats cool, otherwise they'll get whiped out immediately, if there are any.
  22. This is great news she's alive. I think there are going to be some twists to this saga.
  23. Once again awesome job Clujer. This recaps rule. I can keep up with the game a bit while I'm at work; I truly love it
  24. Damn that rotation looks sweet. Garland is going to have a great season this year I think. Now I need to know Wright is alright. Hopefully we have most of these guys around for a long long time. I think the Sox will lose one of their dh's (lee or Thomas) and they will use the extra money to reup longterm with Colon. Then use the rest of their money bringing guys back. Going longterm with Maggs, giving Buerhle his deal, maybe going 3 or 4 yrs with Garland. The payroll will go up a bit, probably 5-10 million and they would also add another outfielder or something.
  25. The fact was he wants the 4th year guaranteed. Thats the final hurdle left.
