  1. is this just starting today? My wife wants to get in one that people will actually keep up with... so I'll give her this... and that way everyone stays at the same place. HOLD A SPOT FOR ME, can you?
  2. Hey jackass, welcome back!
  3. We'll get it fixed tonight (when some of us get home from work).
  4. I said this somewhere else, but talk to me when the S & P breaks records. Until then, this doesn't matter.
  5. No, because of three things. First, what did they know and when did they know it? I think that's still being determined. Second, nothing's been testimony and falsifications under oath. Third, they didn't do it... but if they were accomplices and it can be proven, buh bye...
  6. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Except it's not. oh really? It's not the truth? So why is it that they try to vote down all the stuff that the cartoon mocks?
  7. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 09:01 PM) You try all you want to compare the two. Sick. And I hope you're not using the slurrs on my account... It's not the same on a lot of levels, but it is on others. The double standard is the raising hell, when the other is a personal matter, and it's both sleaze. To say it another way, consent vs. minors, yes, I agree that's pretty bad and should NOT be compared. I'm talking about how it was/is being handled. That's more my point.
  8. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 12:44 AM) Rice's press agent released info today stating that she now admits to this meeting, with powerpoint I believe, and that no one of the info said anything was going to happen in the US. My point here is that her constant denial of not having this meeting, not recalling the meeting and now the information in the meeting not being specific enough just shows that had she come out in the beginning and tell the truth, she would have been better off. the cover up is worse than the crime. no one is saying that here. you're in the wrong thread. seriously, what is wrong with you? Read the thread. And please quit asking what is wrong with me. I'm fine, thank you. What is wrong with you?
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 08:53 PM) Hanson is in Arizona filming a new series of kiddie porn Dateline specials. The irony.. Hu...? Double standard... 2 concenting adults doing nasty stuff is waaaaaaaayyyyy different than an old man and a 16 year old. Not even on the same planet to make a comparison. You know what? It sort of is. I understand the "minors" concept here, and yea, that makes it doubly wrong... BUT... for all these people who want to throw every gauntlent down that they can to bring down the entire Republican Party over this is doing nothing but playing smear the (you get the idea). Pun intended.
  10. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Yeah... this is almost as shameful as impeaching a popular president during a time of peace and economic growth for lying about getting a blowjob. Hate to break it to you. If republicans knew about this and concealed it or failed to report it, Its WAY worse than the lies Clinton told. Their acts jeopardized the safety of underage children. Hastert voted to impeach clinton... By his own standard, Hastert should resign. Oh, by the way, its not just Dems....the loyally conservative Washington Times is also calling for his resignation: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061003/ap_on_...ert_newspaper_1 I'm glad you brought this up. It's funny how it's a "personal matter" with Clinton, but THIS, MY GOD, THE REPUBLICANS, ALL OF THEM, better step down because of what they may, or may not, have known. Nice double standard. It's all about the children... please. I don't hear anyone saying that, except to dramatize it. And truthfully, that's sick and wrong. Oh by the way, he wasn't impeached over that, he was impeached because he lied about it under oath. That's called perjury, and it's a felony, except when Clinton does it, (over a personal matter). I don't see that happening in this case. The party that this involved resigned immediately. What a concept.
  11. QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 03:56 PM) Just because a bill became law doesn't mean that it was one of the president's initiatives. That bill has been bipartisan from the get-go. I'm talking about Bush's initiatives....social security reform, amnesty program, etc... Bush and the rest of the Executive are pretty much on their own right now. I wouldn't even call it my opinion, it's just politics. Regardless of party, you don't walk lockstep with a president who has a 30-40% approval rating, it's political suicide. Forcing Rumsfeld's resignation would/could go a long way in improving those poll numbers and thus improving his support in Congress. I voted for Bush in both 2000 and 2004. I didn't really want to in '04, but I sure as hell wasn't going to vote for Kerry. I voted in OK and you are not allowed to write-in a candidate nor are there any other parties on the ballot. He's completely lost me as a supporter and soured me on the GOP in general. If he showed the same balls within the ranks of his administration as he likes to display to the rest of the world, I'd actually have some faith restored in the man. I actually agree with just about everything you say here. Bush has lost a lot of support, but he certainly was a better candidate then John Kerry. It's a shame that the presidential candidates have sucked so bad since, oh, about 1992ish.
  12. That's just about the truth. I'm not laughing, either. And hypocrasy exists on this side, too.
  13. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 12:37 PM) Maybe he felt like channelling Bob Woodward. No, I've read what both people have said after watching it and those who haven't. And judging by the history of the tinfoil hat crap that I see from this thread starter on a regular basis, I formed an opinion that it's the same recanned bulls*** over and over, except this time, it's a "timeline" of main stream media sources to collaborate the same spew that there's this grand 9/11 conspiracy. Is that about close enough?
  14. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Oct 4, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) The press released this story after being tipped off by a fellow page, not the Democratic party. So you believe in some conspiracies but not others??? When were they tipped off? Certainly, all indications are before last Friday.
  15. Studds is NOT different, he (the page) was underage at the time, and he got STANDING OVATIONS for "coming clean". That's f***ed up. And these assholes in the Democratic Party are literally RUNNING for the cameras to talk about resignations up and down the House? Welcome to October, and welcome to holding on to the story until Congress ajourned for the elections. What a shameful act all the way around.
  16. QUOTE(IggyD @ Oct 3, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) Well, I can tell by your responce where you stand. You hold NO one accountable (and you probably didn't watch it either). If there were a timeline that was counter to this, it would not be nesessary to post as the media has already done its job, as they have not in this case. This only puts together the reports "you know"... "connects the dots" as no MSM outlet has done. What you should be asking is WHY? That is the job of the media, to inform the public no matter which way it swings. BTW...I am an Independant. I hold all parties accountable. Not Just the Republicans. That is why I think we need to stop this stupid 2 party system we have. All that happens is the power switches with no improvements for the people. Everything stays status quo. Also, did you know Congress is Proposing an amendment to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution. The official title of the bill is "Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd amendment to the Constitution". That is by Both parties. It is outrageous what is happening to our Constitution these last 5 years. I saw the thread on the amendment. It's bulls***, too. Yes, there was a proposal two years ago, and it completely died. It's not going anywhere. Why don't you dig a little deeper then just accepting what you see at face value? I don't need to watch the clip to know what it's trying to say by the responses in this thread. It's been debunked over and over again. ANYONE can put s*** together (and leave out important facts) to tell whatever story they want to tell... but of course, if the story isn't what you want to hear once you start looking at the facts, it doesn't matter anymore, does it? Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.
  17. OMG the GOVERNMENT KNEW AND ACTUALLY HATCHED THE 9/11 CONSPIRACY! But Bush is such a freaking dolt. /rolly
  18. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 02:48 AM) Term limits are wrong, for any office. The public should be allowed to vote for who they choose. If they really like someone, they should be allowed to elect them for ever and ever. Pffffffft.
  19. And indications are from Fla. that everyone knew this guy was a pedophile for a long time. How the hell do people like this 1) get elected, and 2) get on a committee trying to eliminate what he was doing? What a douchebag. We can now call our government the equivalent of the Catholic Church in this regard, I guess, now, can't we?
  20. Take the 15,000 International Police Force and replace them with a ratio of 1-1 - we withdrawl 20,000, they replace 20,000 - and then you're finally talking something. The problem is, the UN (or read: any international 'police force') has no balls. I wish they did so we could do something like this, but it won't happen.
  21. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Sep 29, 2006 -> 08:40 PM) You forgot to mention that it is gonna get airtime on 60 minutes. You don't say? Gee, I'm shocked.
