Just had a conversation - and it's true. the scrubs were waaaaay closer then this. we need to buckle down, and put on the hardhats, and JUST f***ING WIN. man, it's so f***ing close you can TASTE IT.

The whole world is a phoney. It's all smoke and mirrors. In fact, I bet some alien is running the world and controlling the "leaders" of the world. Or some such s***.

QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 11:25 PM) Freddy seems to be shaky on long rest; he himself claimed that it messes with his control to not pitch every 5 days. He wasn't that good at Boston, either. He quickly got an inflated pitchcount and continued that thing where he gives up longballs in copium. You know, I'm sick of your remarks. "Count (yesterday) as a loss" :rolly Normally, I don't say this, but STFU.
-
Freddy needs to pitch like he pitched against JOHAN Santana. If he does that, we'll be ONE win away from the PROMISED LAND. Let's see what happens. An early lead is HUGE again.
-
NICE. Cooper is DEFINITELY below the radar - well - not now... but he's done one hell of a job.
-
Poor Katie. She used to have talent. Now, she has Tom's schlong. :puke
-
It's been pretty good so far. I think our hit count will go up by about 33-50% if we make it to the, um, next level.
-
No matter what happens - this is a special team. These guys have played their asses off.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 07:10 AM) Remember that thread about whether KW would get fired if they did not make the playoffs. Where did all those people go? SB

Every game gets bigger, but with a 2-1 lead and home field yanked back, there should be less pressure. PROPS for the lineup - they were DISCIPLINED at the plate, and that was the difference. They do that the rest of the way, we're going to the PROMISED LAND! Holy s*** - 2 more wins - TWO MORE WINS. It's almost reality... who'd a thunk it?
-
Dye better wake the eff up in that 3 hole. TONIGHT.
-
Garland is a LOT better of a pitcher when he's rested, or so it has seemed this year. He just has to show up mentally, and he should he ready tonight. Obviously, there's a lot riding on this game tonight. 4 hours...
-
should we blame ANY of these political twits that are using everything in their power to sway public opinion? Bush, Clinton, they're all doing the exact same thing. Clinton gets a free pass on anything that's staged; Bush is the anti-Christ. WTF is the difference? Absolutely nothing.

I'm trying to figure out how to move my martian ass. Edit: bwahahaha, I have admin powers - so if someone messes up their mark, let me now and I'll erase it. BTW - this program kicks ass. It goes all the way to street level.
-
I really respect Orel with the job he's done with NOTHING in Texas. It's SCARY here. A 28 year old GM, and no pitching coach. Essentially, Buck Showalter has the ENTIRE show now. :puke That guy is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY over-rated, and he sucks, so that doesn't say much, does it?

http://myguestmap.lorca.eti.br/guestmap.js...xtalk&locale=en OK PEOPLE!!! FILL THIS BABY OUT! And be sure to zoom in close enough to get it right (unlike me) - upper left corner

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Not everyone. There are good people here at SOXTALK who are much more open-minded than others. They just choose to remain silent so as not to stir the pot. I love stirring the pot. Now that's a great post, seriously. Good call. As a matter of fact, it's SUCH a good call, that maybe you shouldn't post here any more because all you do is "stir the pot". So doesn't that make you a TROLL? And we all know what happens to TROLLS.
-
I actually agree, to an extent. But it's pretty interesting how Congress isn't motivated until they get their fingers in the pie, now isn't it?
-
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) That is a metaphysical argument best left to those who are qualified in genetics, physics & philosophy to address. And let me guess. You're the only wanker on this board who is that qualified to speak on the issue, and therefore, none of us can dare approach your mighty throne? GMAFB.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) full story here http://mediamatters.org/items/200510130001 If Earle is proven WAAAAAAAY wrong here, then he ought to be. But if Buchanan says it, I'm a little leery.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) When all else fails, blame the 90s. Or Blame Bush. It's about the same thing.

Damn. When he gets back, he'll kill me. And yes, even those damn Aussies!

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) Don't forget our Canadian and Puerto Rican brothers. Good call. Kip - Josh - and whoever the hell else I'm missing...

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) I always try to get by the minute or by the inch pricing . . . It's hard to get next to nothing, isn't it? Wow, this thread has turned another bizarre turn.

It occurs to me that as we all think back over the season, what an amazing ride it's been. It's united us all here - fans all across the country (and hell, the WORLD (hey Credepopsup and Deplorer!!) - cheering for the same team. And here we are, 1-1 in the ALCS... with the potential to make it all the way. No matter what happens, this Sox team has created more memories then any other in two generations. What a ride it's been, and may this train keep on chugging along, all the way to 7 more W's.
