I said this in another thread, my cousin's over there right now and I am really excited about her attitude and the work they are doing over there. She's limited on what she can say but I can say that she's in the Sunni Triangle and that makes her job hard, but they are successful at what they are doing. The media doesn't say that. Why? This is the most f***ed up thread I've seen all year. You would think we're 13-31 instead of 31-13. If we sucked that f***ing bad we would be 13-31 (all we do is pull when we hit).

The church I go to is the first one I've ever been to who has people come in from all faiths to explain what it is they believe in and why they believe it. And it's a "conservative" ""denomination"". It's pretty cool, really.

So they reached a deal to only filibuster under "extraordinary circumstances" judicial nominees. I'll bet my next paycheck the next "extraordinary cirumstance" is when Renqhuist retires, and that is a f***ing shame, because this was all a show.

I do know that Texas had a hard on for Garland this past offseason, and Orel Hershiser was one of the biggest ones on trying to get him down here. As it turns out, he was right - in that Garland was due. Hershiser has done more with nothing (talent-wise) then anyone in baseball, IMO.

One observation: The "hatred" for Bush that you leftist people spew, is about the equivalent of what will be thrown at Hillary when she runs from the right. The right will be exposing the truth, and the left will be spewing hatred at Bush. Or, the left will be exposing the truth, and the right will be spewing hatred at Clinton. It's all the same.

We have had one freaking thunderstorm since February, that's it. This weekend was 100. So, what's in the forecast for this weekend? Rain. Just in time for the Sox to roll into town.

Yea, right. Anyway, as I alluded to, and then a day later hit the newspapers, there has been some progress made in the last few days.

I cannot reveal my sources but I can tell you that some insider information has told me that the negotiations this week have turned VERY positive - meaning the chances for an on-time start to the 2005-2006 NHL season have risen dramatically. Call it a "breakthrough". It will look pretty bleak for the next couple of weeks, but then by July the sides will probably come together.

The difference is that this is well documented and not a heresay source.
