I am not going there out of respect even for cw. He doesn't deserve that, and frankly just about every one of you doesn't deserve that much detail. That's harsh, but that is the way it is.

Perhaps part of the misconception is what admins can do. None of the above things you speak of matter in this case, except banning, and you are dead on... there were no issues there. I am finding it very ironic on many levels that this discussion has turned to "admins" and "powers" in the same breath. Tex has said it all, and very well, I might add. I would prefer that no one looks at one another as "he's an admin"... oooooooooo... but suddenly, this is where the conversation is turning and I think those of you that are fixated on that are missing the point - perhaps on purpose, but as the adage goes, that is neither here nor there. We are fans of a baseball team. We are friends in a internet community. Occasionally, things happen between "friends" where there are disagreements. Sometimes, this leads to a parting of ways. That's how life works. The lessons that are learned here are many, for me anyway. None of this really matters in a greater scheme. I know that I have taken this too seriously, but I also know that something needed to be done, and for that I am not sorry, but I am sorry that this has turned into something it didn't need to be. One thing that should come out of this are guidelines. That will be forthcoming, if everyone agrees.

We ALL must be held accountable, and the 4 or 5 I spoke of above must be held to an even higher standard. If we're not, we need to get "ousted".

That I agree with 100%. The only thing that I feel needs re-emphasized now is, this wasn't some sort of witch-hunt, I have very little time for that - hell, I do have a life outside of message boards. I don't have time for the drama. Sometimes, though, even the most noble of intentions are overshadowed by other things. I wish it weren't so. For example, I enjoy debate as much as anyone and cw had one of the best gifts of debate on this board. He taught me a lot of things that I did not know and for that I thank him. I sincerely hope he will reconsider after a time and come back as a poster.

I want to pin this and lock it. This should speak for itself. I will add: I know that there were a lot of "misunderstandings" but we really need to have some people step up and admit what went on in detail. PM Mr. Zero... and soon, please.

There are a couple of admins remaining that were not contacted, I think (??) 7 out of the remaining 9 were before this was done. Edit: it was 6, my bad. Let us get to them, and then we will deal with this more out here. But, there will not be a lot more detail said about it... In your case specifically, I know you have more of a personal concern about it then many people here. To be sure, you will know our side of it, as I know from what you said earlier that you already have his side.

Look guys, cw is a poster in this community. That has not changed and I hope it doesn't. The choice on that matter is his and his alone. He is a good poster on this board. His insight because of the knowledge he brings is second to none. We're not doing an autopsy here. Virtually nothing has changed except the name isn't red anymore. That's all. Tex, that project of yours. Isn't it nice to freelance?
