That is pure BS. Just kidding. Had to get you good and worked up. It's quite amazing how history often repeats itself, and from that standpoint, the US is really heading toward the same path and political downfalls as Rome. The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire - is quite similiar to the rise and fall of the United States of America. The UN is but only a small part. It has its function, but it has been effectively neutered, much like the League of Nations before it. The United States with its "preemptive doctrine" and the world be damned, is a scary place.

Well, you know, if Bible Prophesy is to come true, the UN better get its act together so we can get on with this Armegeddon thing.

Yea, that was his initial reaction - but remember this is the Yankee$, every ball player's wet dream. But hell, even Nomar was sort of feeling the same way about Boston, even after the bitterness... Give the guy time to warm up to Chicago. I think if he goes out there and puts up a good show, the fans will rally around him and he'll feel right at home...

I was watching the 10th inning walk debacle on WGN the other night. DJ is just as dreadful as he was the first season he was hired. I thought the first season he was hired that it was the lack of experience as a broadcaster and he'd get better with time. Well, let's just say he hasn't. Makes me really miss Wimpy.

What I saw said something about he went ahead and waived his no trade 10 minutes before the deadline, because his thought was that if they came to him wanting to trade him, they didn't want him anyway. Let's just hope the coaching staff can turn this guy into the stud that everyone thinks he can be.

Confidence is such a big part of the game. Ask Willie. Ask Jose. Ask Pollite, who gripped on the baseball last night tighter then I don't know what when walking the winning run in. CONFIDENCE is what allows you to reach your potential. If you don't have it, I don't care what skills you have, you're wasting them without the confidence to go out there and do it.
