How is Restovich, prospect wise? Is he more of a power hitter, contact hitter, OBP guy? And is he considered a very good prospect?
-
It's the norm, these days. Most of the teams first round picks haven't been signed yet. It's when it becomes week long, multiple week long holdouts that I start to become worried.
-
It's still that injury of two years ago - it's not multiple injuries. Ugh - I could see that replay in my mind. One of the Bears lineman fell down right behind Columbo who was blocking, landing basically on the back of one of his ankles. Columbo then fell backwards, while having the guy on his ankle. Aghhhhh. BTW - I know PUP means Physically Unable to Perform, but does that mean he won't play again this season, or what?
-
IIRC didn't Grossman and Haynes both miss a couple of days last year because of a holdout? And two questions - Did the Bears sign Tank Johnson, their second pick? What does the PUP list mean?

Blackhawks resign Vandermeer

My problem with the Cullimore signing is that - in reality, he's a very solid number five, number four (MAYBE) defenseman. However - like that Hawks LOVE doing (square pegs in round holes) - they will give him number one, number two d-man minutes. He'll end up being like a Jon Klemm - a solid defenseman, but not a number one defensman that the Hawks will hope for. I'm still waiting for that those two 'top' signings. I expect Glenn Murray to sign tomorrow. -

Eh - I really liked watching Robidas last year. I won't mind if they let Berard go and keep Robi, because for his lack of size, he sure does play a hell of a defenseman. -

When hockey finally does roll around, whenever it may be, the Hawks will, at the very least, have a young, exciting team. And our defense is improving as well, and should only get better and better once guys like Seabrook, Barker, Wisnewski (sp?), and Byfuglian (sp?) make it to the NHL. IMO, Vandermeer is our best all-around defenseman. I really liked what I saw from him last year. I'm assuming, on D next year, we'll have (in no specific pairs or order): Vandermeer-Robidas-Berard-Babchuk-Cullimore-Mac, With Kukkonen and *Barinka* battling it out for the seventh defensman (and possibly not Berard or Robidas because of their contracts/arbitration.) I can live with that for a year or two, considering who we have in the system. -
I hate George Offman - he covers the the White Sox like a Cubs fan, and it shows. He acted like it was a clean play and everything - grr, that just really pisses me off. f*** the Score, f*** Torii Hunter, f*** the Twins, f*** George Offman.

I agree with basically everything you said, Jim, but Jackson has got to know what the f*** to do. I mean, holy s***, he's been in the league for what, 20 years or so? If he doesn't know what to do in that situation, his ass should be at Bristol. Mike Jackson had a chance to, at the very least, gain a little bit of respect - for getting the job done and plunking Hunter right in the back or in the head. Instead he pussied out. f*** you, Mike Jackson.
-
You're a moron. Take time out to actually, here's a concept, READ HIS F'N post. Like Jim said - absolutely clueless...
-
That is fine with me - someone mentioned, we might just get a boneheaded ump who throws Freddy/Esty out of the game. Go out, win the games. That will shut Torii the f*** up.
-
OK - I've seriously had enough of you. You're still complaining and referencing to the Freddy Garcia - HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING ANYT START MADE BY FREDDY? Gosh damn - rant over, sorry to the rest of you.

Carl is not hitting very well right now - that's the only way you can really put it. I doubt he hits like this the rest of the year, JMHO. No one is going to replace Thomas' OPS/OBP, the best you can do is slightly try to fill it - that's Carl's job.
-
It's on is damn right. Hunter, you're a little b****, and this year is different - we will have the better of the Twins at the end of the season, I gauran-f***ing-tee it. You've gotten away with your lolly pop schedule, it's time to pay. Time to f***ing dominate tomorrow, Freddy.
-
Well, hopefully the Sox will be able to put this one behind them, and be able to get amped for Tuesday's and Wednesday's games, especially after the collision. We need to take at least one from this series, hopefully, just hopefully, two.
-
Konerko fielder's choice, 5-3, score the putout. Two out, one on, Sox down by four. Bottom 9.
-
If we can get to Crede with a chance to win/tie the game, he will do it for us. But I won't hold my breath, I don't think he'll even get the chance at it.
-
Infield popup single, LOL! Secondbaseman, Pitcher, and Thirdbaseman all look at the sky, as the ball drops right in the middle of them...
-
Well - I would have also liked to see him throw at Torii, but also in that situation, there's a runner on third. If you miss him... then it's 7-2. Game isn't quite over, at least IMHO.
-
Hunter grounds out...
-
Haha - I love the fans raggin on Hunter. Like Hawk just said - that play at the plate just opened up a new can of worms with this series. And here comes Hunter - Jackson - If you throw one right at his head, I'll be happy with you.
-
Jackson - you better know what the f*** to do with Hunter, I want a ball right at his f***ing helmet.
-
Jackson - you f***ing suck...
-
OK - I think I get it, thanks for the help OK!
