  1. Clement hasn't given up more than 4 runs this year, he's an excellent pitcher.
  2. Plus, all they give up is Mein-kay-b****.
  3. Here's the official four team trade I'm seeing, Ace: Redsox get: clement, carbrera, Mientkiewicz Cubs get: Nomar Twins get: Derek Lowe Expos get: Alex Gonzales, Prospects
  4. More on the 4way deal per Rosenthal... Redsox get: clement, carbrera, Mientkiewicz Cubs get: Nomar Twins get: Derek Lowe Expos get: Alex Gonzales, Prospects
  5. GAMMONS IS REPORTING THE DEAL IS TRUE! CONTRERAS and CASH for LOAIZA!
  6. Per WSCR, 670. Loaiza for Contreras, not sure what else/who else.
  7. I'd do Contreras for Loaiza straight up - I dunno about Schoney in there...
  8. Gammons also reported the Loaiza/Contreras deal isn't dead.
  9. Hmm - Gammons just reported that Carlos Delgado turned down a trade to the Southside earlier this week...
  10. Still a possibility, or it was disscussed?
  11. rolleyeyes.gif Anyways... Kenny Williams will be on AM 1000 - should be within the next hour - so we'll know for sure whether or not a move has been made. And - I bet Kenny makes a move during the waiver-deadline. IIRC he aquired Scott Sullivan during the waiver deadline period, so I bet he'll aquire someone else during that period too.
  12. Too often you 'forget' to do things... rolleyeyes.gif
  13. :headshake If you're serious, just leave the boards... If you're not serious, put it in green...
  14. Same here - if in fact, Loaiza is on the block - is it trying to get a position player for him, or is it trying to get something out of him (prospects?), and then go after another starter. It should be a very interesting 25 minutes...
  15. I would have made a deal of Kazmir for Loaiza, that's for sure. And I bet Kenny is asking himself - is Diaz any worse than Loaiza at this point?
  16. With only Sabathia performing as a solid starter? Lee hasn't been the same since we rocked him - and Westbrook is still unproven, though he has been solid this year. Plus - they have absolutely no one in their bullpen. It starts tonight - with a dominating performance from Buehrle, and our offense getting back on track vs. Maroth. It's Go time!
  17. Oh - and don't be calling me illogical - I can talk to my dog better than I can talk to you...
  18. Hey - and if you factor out the whole month, we're 0-0... I'm telling you it was a bad week. 0-6 is a bad week. 9-15 is pretty poor too, but when you think how you got from point A, 9-9, to point B, 9-15, there must have been - hey, a six game losing streak in there. Am I going too fast, Ozzie? Oh wait - you're perfect and you understand everything, so I'm silly just to ask that question.
  19. Factor out the six (or is it seven) game losing streak, and we're 9-9 or 9-8. I'd call that a bad week.
  20. The same thing happened a month or so ago - Detroit and Cleveland were right on our ass, and what happened? We eventually vaulted ourselves back into first place. It's all about execution, fellas. We're not executing now. One game at a time...
  21. Alright - then I guess on July 31st, 2004, I'll say to you 'See you next year.'. If you know this team isn't going anywhere, no need to be here.
  22. You honestly think that our offense is going to continue like this for the better of two months? Please... rolleyeyes.gif BTW - Great post, beck. Every person with a Sox jersey on needs to step it up - starting tonight with Buehrle on the bump.
  23. Ozzie - since you know everything, and know what to do in every situation - why the hell aren't you a GM? rolleyeyes.gif
  24. For all the Jeckle bashing I've done over the past six months, it's nice to see a post like this pop up every once in a while on this board. It's just nice to get away from all the 'White Sox - worst team ever' and 'Kenny is a stupid moron.' threads. Thanks, Jeck!
