Well, fellas. Here I go. Into the Big House, first game on Hiesman. If I win, it could be mean a Big 10 Title for the Wildcats. If I lose, I almost definitely have no shot at the title, as I'll be 6-3 then, losing to the two leaders in the Big 10 (Michigan and Wisconson.) Absolutely huge game here, folks. Absolutely f***ing huge!

My feelings are that I like him yet doubt his availability. A fairly young (he's like 29 or so, right?), cheap, left-handed player that can play multiple positions. I don't think Toronto is going to trade him.

We really should go after another solid lefty in this offseason - there are going to be a hell of a lot of good LH batters for years to come in the AL Central, including Morneau, Mauer, Martinez, Sizemore, just to name a few from Minny and Cleveland...
-
rolleyeyes.gif You're not going anywhere with Wanny leading the way...
-
That's for sure - delegate mop-up duty to Cotts and Adkins, and let Kelly be the situational vs. lefty guy. How many innings has Wunsch pitched this season at Charlotte? I know he's been hurt for most of the year, but I'm curious to know. Err, I can probably just find it on that website with the box score.

Check the thread titled 'WHAT THE f***?'. Ricky retired yesterday.

'After remembering'? Huh?

Yeah - Garland wasn't terrible, not great, but he pitched OK. For the first time all year, I saw Carlos Lee misplay a ball. And I'm not in anyway blaming him - it was a tough line drive - but that's the first time this year I saw him misplay one. Me and SoxnBears were talking about it, right at that time, how Carlos has vastly improved out in LF. And, of course, on the next pitch, it's hit to LF, Carlos takes one step in, one too many, and the ball goes over his head. But oh well - two out of three, now we gotta take care of business vs. Minny.

Ditto to the two previous posts - 'this guy' is a monster DE, Pro-Bowler. Not just 'some guy'. As for Thomas and Terrell - Terrell can be easily replaced in the system (Gage, Wade, and Berrian all pushing for spots. Jamin Elliot has also been solid this year in the no-pads practices, same with Ahmad Merrit.) And while I don't like how Thomas has been pushed out of the starting spot, it is clear that the coaching staff favors Thomas Jones, so I don't think Train would be a huge loss.

I usually don't post crap from a message board, but I wanted to post this (It's coming from a person on CB.com message board, the guy is friends with a writer for the Miami Herald, so take it FWIW) - it seems pretty plausible as well, so it could happen. In other words, it makes sense to happen, what do you guys think? Dolphins Get: Michigan Boys Anthony Thomas and David Terrell Bears Get: Ogunlye (sp? The DE from Miami, IIRC he's holding out) and a fifth rounder. Thoughts? I'd do it - again, I dunno how true it is, but I'd do it.

Yeah, Buehrle and Garcia suck... rolleyeyes.gif

Did someone mention cornhole?
-
Krush will be in the lower deck, me and SnB will be upper deck.
-
Come for the cornhole, stay for the cornhole. Cornhole fun!

I'm rooting for the Yanks over Boston for the rest of the year. I'm rooting against Boston and whichever of these three aren't in first (Oakland, Anahiem, Texas). Why? Wildcard. Hell, if the Twins win the Wildcard, good for them. Same goes for us.

I'd also say that new marketing director Brooks Boyer has a little bit to do with it. He's really embraced what us Sox fans are all about, from the comercials, to the new entrance. But then again - probably the biggest reason is just plain winning.

Funny how they're all Joe Crede's biggest fans now that he came up mega-clutch tonight, ehh? A week ago I was hearing to put Uribe at third. Crede's always been solid at third, and if he can get up to .260-.270 this year, that will be absolutely huge. BTW - Not meaning to toot my own horn here, but I called the Joe Crede homer. On the jumbo-tron, they had the dates of Joe Crede's three game winning hits. I was telling my friend's dad, "They should put a four 'game-winning' hits up there, because he's gonna homer right now." It was awesome! f***in awesome!

Honestly - padded seats are the way to go. I almost always go poop on the toilet with the padded seat. I absolutely love it. Coming in a close second is the furry toilet seat. Thos are nice too.

Not a lot of picks have been signed. The one that I remember that has been signed is Dunta Robinson, CB for the Texans. But not many...
-
Damn - I came up empty-handed... A sad man goes back to his bed...
-
s*** man - I can't get the Bears/Packer tix that I wanted. I'm pissed, I'm looking for ONE friggin' seat, and I can't even get one... This is a load of crap.

Meh - I played the game, eight minute quarters - wasn't very impressed at all... Wasted 20 bucks, hopefully Gamestop will give me most of my money back when I redeem it to go towards Madden.
-
Well, I went out and bought the game today. Probably a bad idea to just blow 20 bucks on something you don't know if it's good or not. First impressions: I guess I'm just a Madden guy. I'll play it a bit, because I heard that this game is very tough to get used to, especially if you're a Madden lover. So I'll try it out a bit more, but so far, nothin. I'm gonna actually play a whole game, see how I like it, give impressionis.
-
I'll say this - with Kenny, absolutely ANYTHING is possible. He will check out every possibility that can improve this team.

Very nice. If you haven't been up there, I seriously recommend it. The new closed-in-roof really, I dunno how to put it; sort of makes you feel cozy. I loved sitting up there...
