i hate to tell you this but yankees/red sox is one of the top rivals if not the top rival (albeit mostly one-sided), only heightened by endless coverage of it by espn and the like. people voted this as the top rival, not espn, so i dont see the big deal unless you feel espn tampered with the poll. if that's the case i have a nice shiny, tin foil hat for you...

QUOTE(mreye @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 08:31 AM) I LOVE KETCHUP ON MY HOT DOGS!!! Who the hell made of the "rule" that you can't have ketchup on your hot dogs? Ketchup is way more natural on a hot dog than pickles spears, tomatoes and celery salt. That's right, I said it. I HATE Chicago style hot dogs! Ketchup, mustard, onion, relish. That's all I want. Flame on. word.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 12:37 PM) I swear the smartest thing the american military ever did was plant the seed that they were covering up aliens. Now everyone is so convinced something else is going on that they overlook the completely obvious answers... The american military. word.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 01:58 PM) All of them down here do, I've never seen one where they aren't skating. have never seen one where there wasn't at least one person on skates... up until now the furthest north i've seen them here was the 2 in springfield and always stop at the one in kokomo, in when i visit my sis. my dad told me late last week that they were building a new one in pekin. they have the best food, especially their onion rings. always have to pick up a toaster, onion rings and a route 44 coke when i'm near one...

QUOTE(Confederate_48 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 11:30 AM) I thought if anyone would fall out it would be Burton or Martin since they were 9th and 10th but for Stewart to miss the cut was a big surprise. indeed. was on pins and needles the last 100 laps or so with the brake problems jr was having and how close it was from 6-10...

it's tragic that a few screw it up for all, but the rules are there for a reason and need to be followed, especially if people's lives are at risk. if they'r not then there need to be consequences, as in all other aspects of life. should the government wait until people die from the ineptitude of those few before it doles out punishment? i'm sure at that point we'd be calling for the heads of some in the governement as well as the red cross organization...

Clinton & former administration officials question 9-11 miniseries
Goldmember replied to Steff's topic in The Filibuster
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) Is "Based on a true story" the same thing as saying "Based on the 9/11 commission report"? I think the latter convey far more weight in terms of saying it follows specific details, because of what it is claiming to be based on. if the true story lists its source(s), yes. it should be held to the same standard as other historical event movies, all of such genre should definitely be held to a higher standard then all the scott peterson-esque movies. all are still movies, however, and people know (at least they should) liberties will be taken. haven't heard that (all i've seen are the commercials--'based on 9-11 commision report') and frankly don't care, because 1) i won't be watching, no matter what and 2) like a pointed out above, it is a dramatization and liberties will be (and in some instances, have to be) taken... -

so when some of you see a movie that says 'based on a true story,' do you think that is exactly how those events happened? -
