  2. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 11, 2006 -> 07:05 PM) Happy Bday to the infamous Goldy or Glenn G as he goes on all his amazing graphics. Hope you have one badass bday and may one of the gifts be the Bears clinching a first round bye tonight word. da bears made my day. hopefully in january i'll be able to say they made my year. thanks all!
  3. iirc, hackers messed with them (the frontpages), so they were taken down until they could be redone...
  4. got maybe 4-6" inches of snow down here. grandparents live about 15 minutes to south and the town they live in looks like a tornado hit. did quite a bit of damage and took out their power so they're staying here overnight and most likely for another day or two before the power comp can get to and repair damage...
  5. that sucks. jj pulled it out...
  6. in the true spirit of politics i'm running* on the 'i'm against against tex's platform' platform... /*not really running
  7. cover of tears for fears...
  8. 9/10. the beemer fooled me...
  9. not a fan of the front font (they could at least get the a to line up) & the bright red--think it should have more brown or orange tone to it, more southwestern. but, overall i like the new unis. the db snakehead logo is pretty cool, too.
  10. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 29, 2006 -> 04:10 PM) I realize that, but I know we have several big-time Cards fans on the site, and it just looks like people are pissing on their team, instead of congratulating them for winning despite serious injuries to most of their better players throughout the season. If they had Isringhausen, Mulder, Bigbie, Rolen for the whole year, Edmonds for the whole year, (even Pujols missed some time), they'd probably have been a "better" team. They played with who they had, and they won the whole damn thing. That should be respected and celebrated, not spit on, in my opinion, especially from a fanbase who've used injuries as an excuse over the past few years ourselves. ("If we hadn't lost Frank and Magglio....")
  11. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 23, 2006 -> 12:10 PM) What happened? I stopped watching after Burton's engine blew. I know a numb-nut rook took out Schrader with a bone-headed move. with about 25 to go, running 8th and looking to have a very good points day (thought i saw he could have moved up to 2 or 3--especially in light of the probs guys like burton were having), he got impatient with kahne, tried making a move around in the corner, tapped kahne and spun himself...
  12. here i was hoping jr was finally getting lucky, then he went and did a bone-headed move...
  13. QUOTE(The Critic @ Oct 20, 2006 -> 01:51 PM) Chuckle, then yawn for me. It is pretty amazing how something like that can go unnoticed for that amount of time, given the number of stories which were written and aired about it. word.

  16. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 10, 2006 -> 12:37 AM) Chicago Bears Monday Night Football Record: 16-32 Chicago Bears Franchise Record vs. Cardinals: 56-26-6
  17. my desktop is never this cluttered or full. working on a project and everything goes to the desktop then i move to appropriate folders. haven't had time to do that yet...
  18. lol i was sooo pissed. was driving back home through ohio and indiana trying to pick up race on radio. lost the one station that had the race i was listening to right after jr. got his lap back. so i was happy that jr wasn't involved in the wreck, got his lap back and jeffy was involved. spent what seemed like hours trying to find another station with the race. finally found one just before jr passed busch (iirc) for lead. so was giddy like a school girl up until that last lap. couldn't believe vickers would do something that dumb... funny seeing some of the quotes after the race. jeffy's whining and jr's response had me rolling especially the below quote...
  19. athletics & cards...
  20. zito's gonna give this game away...
  21. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 1, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) Interesting that JG's fuel pump died with 50 laps to go and that TS coasted across the finish line to win with no gas lol. I am so afraid of JB having something break on his car these last few weeks. I like seeing JB add to his points lead! i was elated jeffy got the dnf. its a shame jr can't get a break. i too am so nervous during the race for fear of something happening and it wont get any easier on me either... hopefully jr can do really well the next few weeks and reach the top. i doubt it though. will also be cheering on martin, hamlin, harvick and jeff b...
