  3. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 11:15 AM) Uh, Rock, I'm 23. I'm not that much of a salty old man. I'm just saying that most of the SNL produced films were total pantloads (Roxbury, Superstar, Ladies Man etc.) Will Ferrell's time on SNL was funny but I liked the humor better when Farley and Hartman were doing the same style of things. Yes, I'll agree that some sketches like Jeopardy! were funny -- but that was as much Hammond carrying the bit as Connery than anything else. Calling something the glory days doesn't necessarily mean a long time ago. It just means a time when the sketches were actually funny -- which is something SNL hasn't been since the mid-90s. love ferrel. roxbury is hilarious. it doesn't belong in the same sentence as superstar and ladie's man... snl's biggest downfalls as of late have been writing and not having the right mix of castmembers together (further this problem by casting a couple idiots). those are two reasons that much of the 70s-early 90s were good.

    Brokeback Joker?

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) The last one was my favorite of all batmans, so I got no problem with them rehashing another one of the old's and kind of re-doing the whole thing. As long as they don't start getting cheesier and cheesier like the originals got. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 1, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) I enjoyed the last batman the most out of all of them. I think Bale did a great job of playing a darker more human Bruce Wayne/Batman. I dont know how Heath Ledger will work out, but I cant wait till this movie comes out. And how the last one ended with the Joker card you had to know what was coming. word. nolan is still at the helm so i don't think we have anything to worry about...

  8. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Jul 30, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) Thanks for the comments.. I'm alright with the trade I suppose.. if any of you have any more comments on Ronnie I'd like to see em (good or bad) deceptively quick for his size. part of which is probably due to playing a deeper 2b than most, as rowand pointed out. good line drive hitter w/ some power. and he doesn't know how to where a hat...

  11. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) Frank's coming around after a terrible start this season, isn't his average getting somewhat close to .250 now? .254 right now. after the terrible april (.190 avg), he's batted .268 (may), .270 (june) & .298 (july)...
