1. Home! Had to listen to a phone call from my brother though. He used to live in South Bend Indiana (One of the snow belts of Amereica), and then got a job transfer to L.A. a while back. He tells me "You know, the other day it got so cold that I had to put on a shirt!" My response..........."Oh yeah! At least tomorrow, I know what side of the block my house is still going to be on." Coming up with that respone, after his cockiness, made being home that much more enjoyable when the phone call came in.

3. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Dec 9, 2007 -> 06:28 PM) For Christmas....................to know, that I know, that I know, that I know, that we had made some moves in which we were not only able to compete with Detroit and Cleveland, but to have some REAL ALL OUT CONFIDENCE that in those moves that were made, that we were good enough to show them that we can feaseably make a run for the A.L. Central title in an all out war with them. Keep shopping Kenny! Sales get bigger as Christmas approaches. Hopefully you'll still be able to put together a nice "Package" for us under the "Central Tree!" All of us are still itching to yell out YAY!!! Way To Go! YEAH BABY!!! JUST WHAT WE WANTED! I know that this isn't the place or the thread to do so, but If anyone has any ideas on how I can get rid of the"size" in quotes when I post different font sizes or boldness, please leave feedback in "How Does That Work?" Forum under Font Question / Sizing. Knightni!! I appreciate your help and feedback, but for what ever reason whether I click the sizing and/or bold buttons and type in the words, or type in the words and then just highlight what I want sized or in bold, the size words keep popping up. The old format had a button of "Close all tags" which used to do the trick. Now it is no longer there. My latest post I highlighted the above words, sized and put in bold what I wanted done, and the friggin' keeps popping up.

5. QUOTE(jenks45monster @ Dec 4, 2007 -> 08:42 PM) The Tigers have to be the new favorite to win the WS next season. Theyre so stacked now its not even funny. a monster outfield of Granderson Ordonez (who we should have) and Jaque Jones Added Cabrera at 3rd Added Willis as a starter Pudge as their backstop An above average pen and not to mention resigning of Kenny Rodgers One of the things that still gives me a slight hope is that anything can happen in baseball when you least expect it. A few years back we had a pretty nice line up and then Maggs and Big Frank went out for the count for the year at nearly the same time. I don't wish anything bad on anyone, but crazy things do happen. Right now, we see the Tigs lineup and are flabberghasted. Didn't most teams look at our pitching staff in the same way after we won it all? We didn't live up to the hype! In the same token, the year we won it all, were we looked upon at the beginning of the year as a team that would dominate in the way that we did? Not really. Yes....I'm very overwhelmed over Detroits team, and sickeningly disappointed at what's happened with us o far this year.................but................you just never know what can or may happen during the course of a season. As mentioned before, KW kept mentioning that he's going for it all, and yet our rivals are the ones that have shown to put the tightest grip on our throats. So, where is KW's "Going for it all" talk coming from and going to? Going for it all? Sounds like KW made a tape recording using Detroits GM's voice.
6. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Dec 4, 2007 -> 05:25 PM) I saw it too on sportscenter "Breaking News Segment" of the baseball winter meetings on ESPN 2 today at 5:15 My bad! The quote was to be taken from the detroit trade and the source as to where it came from
7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Dec 4, 2007 -> 05:19 PM) Where is this from Rock? I saw it too on sportscenter "Breaking News Segment" of the baseball winter meetings on ESPN 2 today at 5:15
8. Gettig rather tired of hearing KW say that there is a picture that is being painted, but yet all of the paint brushes are being used up. We keep hearing as to how we are not rebuilding, but reloading, and yet each tear bigger deals go own that strengthen others in our own division while we are dinkin' around making prospect deals. You want to win, then doggone it, what's left in the tank that can "IN REALITY" compete with Detroit and Cleveland? Is there another prospect trade waiting in the wings for us, while our division rivals continue to blow us out of their league?
9. QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 11:29 PM) I think it's time for me to go to bed. Give me a huge "D-uh" on that one. How can something so simple as that not even cross my mind. Ah what the heck.....give me another "D-uh!!!" I deserve 2 of them. Aha! I did highlight the word, hitb the font size, and the size words came up again. Is there something that I'm missing, or do I need a trainload of D-uhs?
10. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 10:44 PM) Why not just highlight the word you want raised then click the appropriate font size? I think it's time for me to go to bed. Give me a huge "D-uh" on that one. How can something so simple as that not even cross my mind. Ah what the heck.....give me another "D-uh!!!" I deserve 2 of them.
11. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 10:37 PM) Ohhh you mean this? http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Old-Comiskey...rs_i110339_.htm As a matter of fact, I have this one bookmarked. The view is perfect. If I don't come across a nightvision one with the lights on as in the previous posts, then this picture is a definate winner. Thanks for the reply! The source that you gave has a better price that what I previously bookmarked. When I'm finished with all of this, having The Cell and Old Comiskey side by side bordered with the topps baseball cards from the 1959 team and the 2005 team is going to be a real eye catcher amongst my little Sox emporium.
12. I don't post often, but when I do, I don't know how to get rid of the word (size) in the post when I'm changing font sizes. In the old format there useed to be a "Close all tags" button, but I didn't see one when I posted earlier today. Thanks! ExampleExample

14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 2, 2007 -> 04:41 AM) Rooftop, you say it's not available in poster size. Can you get in an 8x10? If so, you can have it enlarged into poster size. I'll keep my eyes peeled for one. So far, all I've seen a rather expensive photos with captions that are framed. Hard to find what I'm looking for of a nightime behind the plate shot of the cell and old Com. The enclosed picture was taken from a business websight and when I called to see if I could get a copy of it, I got a lot of runaround. In rather nice words that wre unspoken, I got the message that a copy would not be available for a purchase. In the meantime though, your suggestion is a good start. At least whe I finf the right photo, I can have something done with it. Thanks!
15. Need some ideas on where I can locate a poster size (16 X 20) or (18 X 24) of a night view picture of the Cell taken from behind home plate as well as the same for Old Comiskey. An example what I am looking for is pasted below. I once saw one of the opening game world series, with the amereican flag, but once again, it was not available is poster size. Benn coming up dry for quite a while now. I'm looking for unframed ones. Anyone have any ideas? Links? Thanks!
16. QUOTE(knightni @ Dec 1, 2007 -> 12:30 PM) It's a Fleer card. I still have quite a few cards left from when I collected. (1981-1993 for the most part) I have the entire 1959 Topps White Sox team; it took me nearly 15 years to finish it. What I'd like to do with my 1959 set someday is have a poster with the old Comiskey with the 59 set bordering it in one frame, and in another frame, have a poster of the Cell and the Topps 2005 world series set bordering it. Just can't seem to find the pics that I am looking for in poster form. I know that I posted this in the past quite a few times, but I have literally every topps Sox card ranging from 1959 to present day, and thats including "leader" cards, rookies, updates, tradeds, etc. I am missing "ONE" card that is nearly impossible to get in order to complete my collection. A 1963 Al Weis rookie #537. Why is that such a big deal? Pete Rose rookie is on there wih him. Check e-bay quite often for a beat up one, but not much success. I'm to the point, where I don't care if the corners are rounded, bent in half or even written on. Just want to get a hold of one someday just to finally complete it. Even pretty bad ones are in the $100.00 and up range. GmMnit...about $10,000,000 Anyone have any suggestions.....I'm open.

18. One of my all time favorites. Putting the whammy on them even before the season begins!
19. Is this signing really legit? There's still nothing about it in the Times, Trib, Sox websight, or hasn't been mentioned on Comcasts "Sportsnite" or "Sportsrise". You'd think that when that kind of money is supposedly spent on a reliever that "SOMEBODY" would have some news on it. But so far I haven't seen "DINK" anywhere on any of it. So far, the only place I found it mentioned was on this thread.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 22, 2007 -> 09:07 AM) BTW, wasn't that Judas Priest? For INFO. Sake..... Quote from Songfacts.com Songfacts: You can leave comments about the song at the bottom of the page. This was the last song Fleetwood Mac recorded with Peter Green, who was the original leader of the band and wrote this song. He became obsessed with giving away his money and felt guilty about how much he made, and wanted to give it all to people who were less fortunate and starving around the world. He wanted his band members to do the same, which created tension in the band as they did not agree with his philosophy. (thanks, Stephen - Tucson, AZ) Rumors have it that Green wrote this while struggling with his LSD usage, and was referencing a mysterious LSD drug called Green Manalishi. Judas Priest covered this on their Hell Bent for Leather album 10 years later in 1979. (thanks, Mike - Mountlake Terrace, WA, for above 2) This was based upon a recurrent dream Peter Green had in which he woke up unable to move while messages about money formed in his brain. Green recalls: "When I woke up I found I was writing this song. Next day I went out to the park and the words started coming. The Green Manalishi is the wad of notes, the devil is green and he was after me. Fear, inspiration is what it was, but it was that tribal ancient Hebrew thing I was going for. Ancient music." More recently he admitted, "It took me two years to recover from that song. When I listened to it afterwards there was so much power there... it exhausted me."
