  1. The Bears are who we thought they were!
  2. QUOTE (Tony @ Nov 26, 2017 -> 05:05 PM) 104.3 in Chicago changed formats, been playing some BANGERS from the late 90's/early 2000's hip hop and R&B No kidding. Absolutely love that station.
  3. Marvin Bagley III is a fantastic prospect. Whoever gets him in the draft will be very happy. Dude reminds me of a young Amar'e Stoudemire.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 25, 2017 -> 10:17 AM) I didn’t see the game but he only had 7 pts. What did i miss? The move was dumb on draft day but didnt see great numbers last night. Dude stuffed the stat sheet. 6 Rebounds, 6 Blocks, 4 Assists, 2 Steals. Then kept flashing the money sign and saying "3.5" (million) afterwards. It was completely justified.
  5. QUOTE (Jim Busby @ Nov 24, 2017 -> 09:13 AM) This is the ONLY person who wants the Chicago White Sox to really WIN. The other replies I read sounds like OLD Cubs who the 2000 fan base. As a true Chicago White Sox Fan I want to win Now. How can you read replies and not see Greg is the biggest advocate of that here? Even ElRockin as well.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
  7. Dead tired from working the night shift, but it's mercifully over.
  8. Maybe we are trading Guerrero and Polo for slot money.
  9. Once Pudge Rodriguez and Piazza got in, then there should be all bets are off to me.
  10. QUOTE (WestSuburbanSox @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:34 PM) I’d like to see us pick up Nestor Cortes in the Rule 5. He might fail at the highest level but he has defied expectations consistently and he works quickly. Very good post and no kidding. His numbers are very good, plus he's left handed and only 22. Would love the move but I doubt he falls to us.
  11. QUOTE (Tony @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:11 PM) That's where I really don't like the Rule V draft. No one can convince me that putting a kid like Basabe on an ML roster, giving up 80-100 ABs in 2018 is good for his development. But the team doesn't have any other choice. Completely agree. San Diego for example might of scared off some clubs including ours with what they did last year. It use to not be like this.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:02 PM) This is fair, but if you are going to excuse his performance because he was young in A+, I struggle to see a great argument for why he will hold his own in MLB next season. It's not about holding his own. The guy can pinch run, play defense and get the occasional at bat. Nieto wasn't that great when we had him out of A ball and we sheltered him enough to keep him and that was when he was 24-25. This kid is only 21. A club can stash him, give him the big league expierence, 80-100 ABs and still put him in the low minors next year where he will still be age appropriate.
  13. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 09:52 PM) He has defensive versatility and speed, so yeah I do think he was a candidate to be stashed as a 5th OF on a rebuilding team. Not to mention is a pretty good prospect who wasn't even age appropriate in A+. Yea, there's GMs who would definitely take a flier. You don't need to be Eloy Jimenez elite.
  14. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 05:18 PM) So am I the only one to question why in the world Basabe needs to be protected, other than the front office protecting their own assets there? He was awful in A ball. He was 20. Good lord.
  15. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 12:53 AM) Hopefully Jake Burger is at Winston-Salem for a while. Some time with Viquel could probably take away any questions of whether he will be able to stay at third as long as he stays in shape. That and hopefully some defensive tips with the glove. Viquel will help alot of our prospects in that regard.
  16. Kyle Fuller just destroyed Leonard Floyd's knee.
  17. Figures Trubisky runs well the first half then Loggins just forgets about him.
  18. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Nov 19, 2017 -> 01:08 PM) Now all of the sudden the defense looks like crap. Who got injured other than Trevathan? Does he really matter that much? He is the one who calls the plays for the defense. Now it's.. Christian Jones. Jim Bob Cooter putting on a show though. Pace better be paying attention today.
  19. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 18, 2017 -> 03:22 PM) https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/07/nate...er-surgery.html I don't think he'll be the same guy, and putting him as a SU is not ideal either.
  20. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 18, 2017 -> 09:07 AM) SU: Jones ($0.6M) Nate Jones? Uh...
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 16, 2017 -> 04:06 PM) John Fox isn't gonna tell you. Imagine how much worse his Bears record would be if he didn't hide injuries so well from opponents. And the media https://twitter.com/AdamHoge/status/931273631350575104 ..Wow... just wow. No words.
