From what I've heard, sox are trying to preserve his arm. He's throwing way less sliders this year (and the ones he is throwing have more velocity than last year, which isn't good) and more fastballs and changeups (which ironic enough, his GB% has gone up).

Guys like Ozzie Ball, scenario, danman, Rex Hudler (when he was around), Cerb, Jason, dasox, daa84, palehosefan etc. are some of the guys I've (or seen here with others) discussed prospects with over the years. Guys like fathom, JPN, DBAH0 and Heads are great too. (though DBAH0 hasn't been the same since his boy Micah Schnurstein sucked and Heads with his Jack Egbert love affair. )
