There's no good reason why they wouldn't do this deal, they can't afford Johnson long term. That's a certainty and they should strike while the iron is hot: he's on a roll right now but that won't last forever, they should get the best package of young talent they can before he reverts back to his normal self. Trust me, they'd bite. Marquez is right-handed, but I love this post. Complete 180 from the hating post lately. Nicely done.

Charlotte 16-8 since mid June. Got their record to .500 for the first time this season. Nice outing for Upchurch. Wilkins 3-5, 2B, 2 R, K in first start. Ryan Hamme 3-5, 2B, R, RBI, K in second game for Kanny.

(maybe a spect for spect kind of deal) there was a highly respect poster of HF/blackhawks boards that said Hannu Toivonen has higher potential than Niemi does too. (if he gets his head on straight) No doubt though you match that offer for Hammer.
