  1. Ozzie and I didn't have to think hard about it. Honestly, though both of those guys are only part of the problem.. The organization as a whole really needs to take a look in the mirror.
  2. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) Ok, where's the crow - Ill eat the whole damed thing. Blow this crap called our team up. Trade em all - start over. Epic fail. All optimism is over. I admire the confession brother. Pat yourself on the back!
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) Gerry, you really think you're some pimp s*** when it comes to NBA, but this isn't exactly my first rodeo. Sorry you found my Andrew Bynum comment so hysterically bad a month or so ago, even though he's 22 and the entire league thinks highly of him. You also ignored his PER... he's a stud if he stays healthy. Anyway, I guess the moral of this rant is that you can slob my knob, son. Haha, your still on that Bynum comment I blasted you on a month or two ago (I was talking more or less over the years of your "analysis" on players)? Let it go bro, sorry I hurt your feelings.
  4. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 07:08 PM) Great outing by Hudson. He bounced back from a poor start with classic stuff, 10K's and no BB's. Way to go. Morel really struggling. 5 IP 2 H 1 ER 2 BB 5 SO is "poor"? I hope you meant his first month of the season. BTW, I'm glad to see Nunez back in the bullpen. I still like his arm and could be one of those young guys who gets a shot up here (or in his case another one, instead of the cup of tea) Santos Rodriguez continues to settle down and impress lately.
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 08:49 PM) Geez, how many of you douches are going to be cheering for him to dominate us? Haha I told J4L a couple days ago on the futuresox board don't jizz too hard when he dominates us. The strikeouts are nice but I was more impressed he had 0 BBs! 0 BB in his major league debut. That is just amazing. I'm pissed I missed most of his start (had to take my grandmother to the train station) but I saw the first couple of innings and he hit 99 and I was like damn. I read this thread and I see he hit 101 and 103?! That is just too sick for words. Nats really brought him up nicely to the horrid offenses of the Pirates and the White Sox to really get your feet going at the MLB level. Oh and BTW, they had a pretty nice draft this year to boot. (especially if they somehow sign A.J. Cole to pair with Strasburg as one of the sickest 1-2 punches in the game if he signs and pans out)
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:59 PM) You probably shouldn't assume the signability of these guys. So a senior who can't be drafted again might just go on and find another field to live his life... I guess that could make alittle sense. But he doesn't have leverage to do anything other than find something else to do with his life. Alright guys I'm out. I'll check out this thread later.
  7. Sox are getting older collegiate players for easy sign the last few picks. Most about 22-23 years old.
  8. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) I have it as Schwartz from U Tampa, the same school that Blanke went to. Posters just don't give other posters time to edit things anymore. Should seriously be a 5 minute rule for that.
  9. Sox pick Micheal Schwartz 1B College position player. Older prospect (23 yrs old), easy sign.
  10. QUOTE (lord chas @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) so im thinking there might be a nice party on madison tomorrow I'm debating if I should go downtown to a bar, or go to a restaurant like Hooters or B dubs (friend want to eat, drink and watch the game) Also depends if we win or not.. Decisions......
  11. Looks like the only guy left I wanted is Cobey Guy. I'll tune in to see where he goes.. though I gotta leave at 4 pm.. so I guess around 10 when I come back on, I'll see where he goes if he isn't picked by 4.
  12. Bah! Mariners took Shipers. Great pick for them if he signs. Mariners have taken alot of guys I liked.
  13. Sox pick Edward McCray RHP College pitcher, older prospect, easy sign. 6'3 235 lbs.. BIG dude.
  14. Sox pick Sean O'Connell. C High schooler Loadin up on catchers now. Sorry Blackwood.
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) People really need to stop mentioning Votto as a possibility to be traded. He was quietly shopped this off-season IIRC. Don't know if the Reds will even think of fielding offers for him next off-season however.
  16. It'll be interesting to see the first three college catchers taken this round on how they do in their pro careers. (Seastrunk, Medica, Blanke) Marlins got the other Dan Black.
  17. Sox pick Micheal Blanke C College position player.
  18. Sox pick Ethan Icard. RHP College pitcher, young guy though, could be a tough sign.
  19. Cubs got Austin Reed. Didn't you like him Jeff?
  20. Sox pick Crayton Lee. SS College position player Another IF. Sox must be sold enough on their OF depth.
  21. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) Have the Nats taken Bryan Harper yet? He's a decent enough pitcher to worth pairing with his brother. I'm shocked he hasn't been picked yet as well.
  22. What is Oney's twitter? I want to see some of his quotes that have some of you riled up.
  23. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) High school SS James Mcdonald to the White Sox. They're certainly filling that middle infield void in the system. I said yesterday I wanted to see if they can find someone to potentially pair with Beckham. I admire they were trying to find the talent to do so.
