  1. QUOTE (qwerty @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 12:57 AM) Rooting for armando galarraga while he is with the tigers... or any team in the division for that matter... is rooting againt the sox... in my book anyway. Glad I don't give a s*** about your book then or any "uninformed secret" rules about the game. Like I said before, if he is pitching against us, hell to the f***ing no, and I hope he gets smacked around for 10 ER in a IP. Now if he is pitching against the Twins for the division title, I could give two s***s if the Tigers lose or not, but if he pitches well, then that is fine by me. I will also say that if he pitches has any barring on the SOX season (say perhaps a chance for the sox to clinch in any way instead of the Tigers for example), then again, I will say hell to the f***ing no. Anything dealing with the white sox I will not root for that man. Besides that.. it's fair game as far as I'm concerned.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 11:00 PM) There was nothing he could have done on that play. He was positioned perfectly. You sure about that? I remember seeing him back into on his own goalie, then deflects the puck with his skate making Niemi make a better save than a shot off a stick could have, which the puck deflects out to be buried into the net.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 12:29 AM) That's my point. You don't mind the Royals because you don't view them as a threat. Well the Sox are as irrelevant as irrelevant can be. So I don't really care what our rivals do, at least not like I would if we were actually a good team. Well I agreed with TRU in a sense is I just hate Detroit. I hate everything about the city, fans, sports teams, etc. I find it hilarious that it happened to them. Now with that said, I will definitely root for Gallarraga through-out his career unless he is playing us. Gets screwed over, and was nothing but class about it. I respect that alot.
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 09:59 PM) You look at Texas' team, they only have two lefties. I have to go with Bobby. If they go with lefties, I might take a chance with Thornton. Said it many times about him... Micro-managing at its finest.
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) Huddy and Torres. This. Torres has nothing to prove anymore in AAA. (actually should of been the extra pitcher with the way our SP has struggled, and Pena being so much stretched out) Not sure about Flowers as they are dicking around his swing there. Not sure if I want him to stay there with Gary Ward (shivers) or go up with Greg Walker.
  6. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) Somewhere Ace is crying.. The Griffey news was much worse. Morel goes 0-3 in his debut.
  7. Joe West, Bill Hahn.. now Jim Joyce. And honestly I watched the replay, usually when the ball beats the runner they give it to him, though I can see the bobbled in the glove argument as well.
  8. Jesus... my favorite player of all time (emulated his stance to hitting left-handed, to playing CF) is officially done. He and Frank I adored growing up. I actually teared up a bit hearing this.
  9. Hmmm... looks like I missed alot. I'll be tuning in to Sportscenter for once. BTW, I'm with TRU, a big LOL on the Tigers though now I'm a big fan of Galarraga.
  10. Damn you Jordan Hendry. Well all this means is we win on Friday and take this in Chicago on Sunday.
  11. QUOTE (kapkomet @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) I guess I just take the example of him being a whiney b**** several times and then him half assing it in this year's playoffs anytime the score didn't treat him well. Hard to give it all for your team when one of your best friends has been humping your mom.
  12. Happy B-Day to one of the better saber guys on the site.
  13. Haha, now all we need now in a thread is how Roger Bossard's field is terrible for our team to play in.
  14. I actually think the Hawks win this one, the Flyers win the next one, prompting the "Flyers are gonna come back from 3-0 down again" from the media and then the Hawks finish them off at the UC making my original prediction of Hawks in 5 come true.
  15. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 01:35 PM) This is a fun team to watch. With the D-Backs sucking, they might move into the lead for, "NL team i might have to root for." Fine you go root for them, and I'll keep rooting for my second favorite team the Rockies thank you very much.
  16. QUOTE (qwerty @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) Not everyone is ichiro and seemingly never loses a step. That is because that guy has an insane workout routine in the off-season. Seriously he is nuts.
  17. It would be nice if Ozzie actually put Alexei back in the 2 hole and have him stay there. Seems he is more patient up in that spot, not to mention has hit very well there last season, and spurts this season. Shouldn't care though, other than PTC. I'll be watching the Hawks game tonight anyways.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 01:23 PM) Just got promoted to AAA, BTW. Not to mention he only went back there to be a starter/stretch out his arm. He had nothing to prove in AA from last season. In fact.. I think the sox should put him back to a relief pitcher.
  19. Morel will make his AAA debut tonight.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 12:59 AM) Mike Stanton hit two more bombs last night. I imagine he'll be up in another week or so. This reminds me... don't try to orgasm too much when Strasburg is blowing 98+ and unhittable breaking pitches against our boys (w. sox) alright?

QUOTE (qwerty @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 11:48 PM) I watch far too many movies... You just now started to figure that out? You and BobDylan should really be butt buddies.
  22. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 11:16 PM) Speaking of Alex Gordon though... I know I'm not the only one who would be freaking excited to see us trade for him. Not at all. Been discussed a couple of times actually. Both links up.
  23. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) Greg, let me introduce you to the principle of Occam's razor. Feliz is a pitcher who has some odd splits. Lefties only hit .106 against him, and have a terrible .313 OPS against him. Righties on the other side hit .293 with a .868 OPS. So if lefties are basically automatic outs, and righties hit him pretty well. Which one exactly would you rather have up there. Now thats before we add the 43 year old slow bat of light hitting Omar Vizquel who is already questioning if he should retire at the end of the season. Now if you can't see that was a poor matchup then I don't know how to help you. Oh man this is an outstanding post! :notworthy
  24. QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 1, 2010 -> 08:49 PM) Yeah his spinning slap finisher is devastating.. Anyways, hes never going anywhere.. they are better of using people like The Miz for building there.. I just cant stand R Truth Ask Dibiase how devastating it is (and yes I know that wasn't his finisher, and he didn't spin, but still slapped the man into a concussion) I don't mind R-Truth at all.. haters gonna hate on any wrestler though, same with myself.
