NBA playoffs thread
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) Well that's easy. Kobe is 10 years older. By that logic if I had to choose between Grant Hill and MJ in 1998 I'd no doubt go with Grant Hill. Kobe's still a better player than Durant, IMO. Haha, I was thinking Jason Kidd (or Steve Nash) vs Derrick Rose in that instance. One game.. no doubt Kidd, sign in FA... no doubt Rose though I still think Kidd is just ridiculous still at age 36.

Katy Perry #1 on Maxim hot 100
QUOTE (SouthsideDon48 @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) lol, I just like girls with more curvaceous features. I feel ya on some of the women you had on your list. Quite frankly, I like alot of them too, but if your telling me your taking New York over Katy Perry (who you might want to google wearing a bikini cause she really is "curvy" or really New York over anybody really since she is just horrible to look at, not to mention had about 5 different surgeries) then you disgust me.

NBA playoffs thread
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:40 PM) I'd agree that CP3 was passed by Williams this season, although that could change next season, which is why I pointed out that I thought CP3 as the #3 player in the league was a bit odd and started up this whole threadjacking. It is odd. Whomever said he was the 3rd best player right now in the NBA doesn't know basketball.

NBA playoffs thread
They might want to let LeBron finish the playoffs first before all this talk. They are acting like the Celtics already won the series. For all we know, this will go back to Cleveland in the next couple of days.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:29 PM) I always want to say Deron Williams deserves more credit than he gets as a player, but I worry i'm just being biased since he went to Illinois. Like I said earlier, many would argue Deron passed up CP3 this season. I actually would put Deron slightly ahead of Paul (that probably will change next season though as CP3 will do his thing) but as of today, yes I think Deron is the best PG in the NBA.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 13, 2010 -> 03:26 PM) Aren't we talking for like next season? For all we know, next season Rajon Rondo might be the best PG in the NBA (if he improves his shooting in the summer like he's doing out of nowhere in the playoffs now), so you really can't predict what could be.

2010 AL Central Catch-All
QUOTE (fathom @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) I couldn't even imagine his numbers if he played in a hitter's park for 81 games a year. Oh no doubt. In fact.. I said that alot defending him. Kalapse gets props too in one of the threads.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 13, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) Ehh, I figured you were basing your entire argument on that one instance. Whoopdeedoo. He's no different than the other 95% of the leagues young guys that do the exact same things except aren't half the player he is You will never see Kevin Durant doing that or a young Kobe. Hell, even Carmelo got alot better in maturity over the years. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) CP3 still up there? Shocked myself though he is on my list as well, though many would say Deron passed him up this season especially since CP3 was injured.

2010 AL Central Catch-All
Scary thing is.. Miggy will improve, and has improved since he got to the AL every year. I told you guys he is worth every penny.

May Catch All White Sox Thread
For those who didn't see this catch. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/video/play...tent_id=7977171 I hate Pierre (though I now sound like a broken record) but his reaction was hilarious.

2010 MLB Catch-All Thread
Derek Holland (who was brutal last year for Texas, though that was Texas' fault for pretty much making him skip AAA) gets called up after owning in AAA and gives a good outing against the A's. 6 IP 5 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 7 SO Texas calling up their future this season. (Smoak/Holland/Ramirez) Gotta figure guys like Scheppers, Strop/Hunter, Perez, etc.. are not far behind. Still need work on drafting pitching, but not a bad future for them. John Ely after his bad debut has been lights out since. Currently has a 3.86 ERA 1.02 WHIP .225 BA. I'm rooting for the Illinois native. Shame he couldn't pitch for his favorite childhood team of our White Sox.

5/12 Games
QUOTE (Cali @ May 12, 2010 -> 11:39 PM) Before we get too excited about Short, lets all remember Jeremy Reed his .400 too, and he could take a walk.... Jeremy Reed was and still is sexy. My W-S team killin it this year, Just as I predicted.

NBA playoffs thread
If LeBron joins Chicago, and we get a couple of snipers, Rose could literally average 12 APG. Work on your defense and 3 point shooting kid, and you will probably be the best PG in the game at the age of 22.

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!
Philly is the first team in 35 years to come back from 3-0 down to tie a series. They have a chance to pull a Boston Red Sox and become the first team to come back from 3-0 down to win a series. (I think 60 years)

HAWKS WIN! HAWKS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!
OMG the Canadians are up 4-0 in the 2nd period. They are gonna shock the world AGAIN. Washington AND Pittsburgh? They'll be quite a story if they made it to the finals. Never seen a team with so much heart playing out their minds. (especially Halak)

Quentin.
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2010 -> 04:02 PM) BTW, does Quentin have a wife? I think so? Got married I believe a year ago. (hence fathom's reference) Gavin Floyd just got married this winter, and look at how his season is going so far.

Sox sign Alan Embree
QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 12, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) Actually it should be in the Minor League Thread. If hes called up to the Sox then its important to talk about in the White Sox forum. Agreed. This thread would have been perfect in the catch all thread on the futuresox board.

Hell at this point, I would put LeBron at the 2 and not think twice. Rose James Deng Gibson Noah I mean.. it's LeBron James! Give him and Rose some snipers from 3 point range (those two don't need a low post guy, more-so snipers) and you are good to win 6 more titles. Pick two of Allen, Korver, Miller, Morrow, Reddick maybe a defensive stopper in Bell (or keep Hinrich.. ugh) plus your draft pick on perhaps a big man.. wow. Now.. having said all this, I would rather us trade Deng for a good PF or a good SG in a S&T just because I'm not a Deng fan.

I'm just glad there is finally a thread on this guy and not Beckham.

5/12 GT - Sox (14-19) @ Min (21-12) - 12:10p CSN
QUOTE (fathom @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) They aren't already? Of course, if the Tigers 1-2-3-4 in the batting order continues to resemble the American Dreams from Baseball Stars on Nintendo, then they might have a battle. The Tigers will give them fits all season. I love their 95+ nasty slider etc.. bullpen and my boy Miggy is IMO, the best hitter in the AL. Tigers have their weaknesses too, but I'm talking more or less for the Twins to beat the TBs, Yankees, etc.. of the world in the playoffs. I can't take a team with Nick Punto as their 3B seriously even with the M&Ms and their stud offense.

5/12 GT - Sox (14-19) @ Min (21-12) - 12:10p CSN
The sox need winning streaks or series wins. This taking splits or losing 2/3 etc.. is not going to cut it. If anyone thinks that is good for us, you are seriously delusional.

5/12 GT - Sox (14-19) @ Min (21-12) - 12:10p CSN
If the Twins get a 3B by the deadline (maybe another arm in the bullpen though Rauch is shutting me up about the closer role) than the Twins should be in real good shape to take the division. Nick Punto is not going to cut it come playoff time.
