  1. this is the best article i could find on how arbitration is decided http://www.baseballprimer.com/articles/eug...3-12-14_0.shtml based on that it seems he should have won.

my wife loves the peanut butter ones... i like the thin mints and shortbread
  3. i think the orioles would like maggs... they have the $$$ and wanted vlad... the dodgers need to do something with their offense, so i could see them giving him a large contract. i think if the sox don't resign him, those 2 would be the most likely. personaly i'd really like to keep maggs, if it we could get him in the 12 mil. range
  4. henry doesn't care about small market teams.... 100% sour grapes. but maybe having another owner onboard about a change would be a good thing
  5. unless the isp dhcp leases the ip... but usually it is random
  6. i wouldn't want my taxpayer money being spent on removing part of the roof just so he can smoke... then of course there is the whole double standard and personal agenda thing.
  7. i'd take those numbers... i think rowand can put up those numbers! he deserves the chance to play everyday and i think he'll take advantage of it!
  8. to do my part and clam up... all ? will now be replaced with ! to promote optimism. willie! harris!, aaron! rowand!, 4! and 5! starters!..... so many !'s, how can this! not be a good season!!!
  9. i'm not too worried.... same thing that comes around every year. but i thought most of frank's ties to the dodgers were cause of evans... and now he's gone. i guess its closer to vegas though.
  10. hmmm... i think it would eliminate suicide bombings on busses, cause no one would take the bus. i don't know.. riding in a vehicle with hot pig fat hanging around doesn't seem all that appealing...
  11. if i ever have to quit this job i will be pretty scarce... for whatever reason my wife likes me to do stuff with her... crazy wife
  12. i'm gonna have to agree with you... you never know what will happen.. thats why they all play 162 games. i really think there is a huge potential for melt down. their bench is pretty thin, and their farm system is too. how do you think poor enrique wilson feels?
  13. ok, lets be insanely optimistic. how does this look Lofton CF - how many more years does he have. last year he finished with a .352 ob%, but only after a strong second half... he should be around .330 this year, which isn't that great in the lead off spot. Jeter SS- power numbers, and stolen bases have gone down. he did hit well, but his walks are going down, will turn 30 in june. he will start going downhill. Rodriguez 3B- ok well nothing bad here. Giambi 1B - can he play the field and not get injured. i don't think so. nagging injuries will limit his at bats. Sheffield RF - pretty solid, but turned 35 in november. career .928 ops, maggs is .979. i'd take maggs. Williams DH - numbers were going down before the injury last year. also turned 35. the dh will help him, but how much? Matsui LF - wasn't bad last year. but i wouldn't call this year a sure thing, i think last year was as good as it gets. also he seemed to tire towards the end of the year. Posada C - last year was a career year in several categories. plenty of reason to think he'll go back to normal. is 32, 33 in august. catchers seem to have trouble with numbers and staying healthy after 34. Wilson 2B - enrique wilson also in the rotation they have kevin brown, who is very injury prone, and mussina, who is good but can't seem to step up and become the dominant pitcher he needs to be... hey, i can be optimistic right?
  14. i don't know, maybe its just me, but i'd much rather have arod at short than jeter. jeter is very over rated as a shortstop, and alex is a gold glove winner. not that i suppose it matters if they score 6 runs a game.
  15. good ol punk rock. spiff, you got some great taste in music... the utters have a live album coming out this year! Boy Sets Fire - High Wire Escape Artist Digger - Past Mistakes Snapcase - Zombie Prescription Keith Welsh - Without Saying a Word Mustard Plug - Beer Song Good Riddance - Sky is Falling Millencolin - The Mayfly Boxer - We Don't Like Them Girls Teen Idols - Insanity Plea Bracket - The Exit Bean Ann Beretta - Fuel Sarge - Fast Girls Brand New - Jaws Theme Swimming Rancid - Detroit No Use For a Name - The Answer is Still No Ink & Dagger - Full Circle Catch 22 - 9mm and a Three Piece Suit

  17. i don't think robert person could lead to 7+ page debate here on soxtalk
  18. officialy posted on mlb http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...ex.jsp?c_id=cws
  19. i just got my sox tickets in the mail yesterday, but i have to see them in minneapolis. may 22&23. also planning on making a trip to kc the last series of the season. chicago is 10 hours away and i'm not gonna be able to make it down this year. my tickets for lower reserved were $23 a piece, they'll be just past 1st base, the next section on 1st is $33, then just one more section over it goes to $35. it sounds like these tickets are more expensive.

i tried to find a show filmed or based in south dakota, and i came up empty. i did find out though that little house on the prairie should have been based in sd, cause she moved out here while still a kid... or something like that. thats the best i could do.

exactly, The point isn't who killed Him, but that He died. if we start arguing about who is responsible and for what reasons then you missed the point of the whole thing.

after research you are right, it did take place in minnesota, i've never actually seen the show so i suppose i should have double checked, but it was all i could think of. maybe it was shot here... i don't know. but anyway i'm pretty sure it is as close as you can get... i'll have to do some more checking.
  23. jammin, by bob marley... haha, that was awesome.
