  1. As long as Lou's doesnt go under, I am ok...
  2. Quick Tech Support: I have a Dell laptop that occasionally, but not always, displays random letters or conducts a certain key combination when I hit either shift key. I've done a full windows reinstall and pulled the battery for 5 minutes (something a friend recommended), and neither works. Could this be on the BIOS level?
  3. New Florida Republican Governor Rick Scott announced Wednesday he is rejecting money for the federal high-speed rail system that would have linked Orlando and Tampa. Apparently the ridership study was favorable to the line, but he canceled the project anyways. He didnt want of that "dirty" big government money.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 04:59 PM) Sounds like you need to find a new job... I am actively trying
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 15, 2011 -> 03:25 PM) He accidentally clicked the wrong link since his hands were oily and his pants were around his ankles. Simple mistake. LOL, I cant do that at work...
  6. The swimsuit issue became pointless to me when I got the internet.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 14, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) Sigh... Estimated time until this begets a Tribune article and a full thread here? that's awesome
  8. Nokia and Microsoft Team Up in Smartphone Battle - So, an executive from Microsoft (Stephen Elop) leaves to become the CEO of Nokia, then magically they dump most of their in house development and run to M$ for help. How convenient!
  9. I just bought my ticket for the home opener (section 535, Row 16). I've never been to a home opener before. I'm "All In"
  10. QUOTE (shipps @ Feb 8, 2011 -> 09:20 PM) As soon as Maury tells us I will let you know. Well played sir!
  11. I applied for a job at the University of Iowa and was just told they are "very interested in (my) candidacy and will begin checking your references quite soon" Wooo hooo! (Ok, not the part about having to possibly move if I am hired freaks me out a bit. lol)

  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2011 -> 03:50 PM) 2006 draft comparable? you mean you cant build a team around Andrea Bargnani, LaMarcus Aldridge, Adam Morrison, or Tyrus Thomas as the star?
  14. I have to say, AOL is doing a nice job at trying to reinvent itself into a media company after they realized their online service was dying. One problem though: 80% of the AOL's profit comes from Scamming Old People
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 09:28 AM) Pics, damnit here or here
  16. There should be a low that requires Amanda Bynes to dress as a 60s school girl every day.
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) I know that's true for individual plans but I have no idea about family plans. 1500 minutes, unlimited texts, "unlimited" data: $129.99 WHen you talk bang for your buck, Sprint is by far the best DEAL, but I can do ATT, Verizon for cheaper with less minutes and data.
  18. Sarah Palin Tries to Trademark Her Name I was not aware you could trade mark your own name.
  19. For the record, I would LOVE Sprint, just too expensive for my budget.
  20. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 10:54 AM) ATT seems to be great in larger cities, but I get terrible/no reception when I'm traveling for work (usually it's in the middle of nowhere). See, and here lies my problem. I was just talking to a friend who lived "in the boonies" and never had a problem.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 4, 2011 -> 09:00 AM) Wireless as in a wireless phone or as in say a home network? sorry, meant cell phone
  22. AT&T wireless cell phone users, what are your thoughts on your service? I posted on Facebook that we were thinking of switching to AT&T, I got 11 responses. Of those who actually have HAD AT&T, 4 were negative and 4 were positive. The rest of the comments were people who "heard" AT&T was bad.
  23. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 02:56 PM) What about Sprint? It's cheapest family plan with data is 129.99. I can get AT&T for as low as $84.99, and up to $109.99.
  24. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 1, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) The 2012 meeting of the Democratic National Convention, and presumably some sort of large speech, will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina. in a swing state... smart move
