QUOTE (rangercal @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:54 PM) You can only hope I honestly think the position that is most tradable is who we draft. The problem with Kirk is he is WAY over payed and might be hard to find a taker for him.
-
QUOTE (rangercal @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:49 PM) I don't care who we draft now! Beasley or Rose it's a win win! Either way, Pax is probably on the phone right now seeing who is most tradable between Kirk, Gordon, Tyrus, and Hoah.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) Shouldn't you be in the primary/caucus thread? I depend on you for my pro-Obama updates! hahah I am not within reach of a TV with sound. So, kinda hard for me to get into it.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:45 PM) IMO, if the Bulls thought Beasley was THAT much better...then the move they have to make is to try to move some combination of Deng, Tyrus, and Hinrich for someone to fill their PG slot. I dont see that happening. I dont think there are any great PGs on the market. At least not that I knwo of.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:40 PM) Raw talent, the Bulls front line is as loaded or more so than any of those teams. 3 top 10 picks sitting there in Tyrus, Noah, Deng. The reason you go for Rose is that you make all of them better. As i just posted, i think i have swung. Yea, Rose. Beasley is too "log jammed" with Noah and Tyrus. Not that he isnt better. that is just a lot people in one area with no consistent players at the guard position.
-
I have said for a LONG time that Deng is a good "third best" player. Kind of like how Tony was back with Scotty and Michael. If we took Rose and he can score 20+ and dish it out, yea, I'm sold.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) Rose is the most athletic point guard I've ever seen. Not a good shooter at this point, but he's the type of guy who improves every game. Can he drop 25-30 on a regularly in a few years? If so, I am sold. Especailly if he can dish it out to players like Deng.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ May 20, 2008 -> 07:27 PM) I hope. Sign Deng, Bye Gordon, possibly goodbye Kirk. Ok, I fane ignorance because I never expected the Bulls to pick this high, so I havent "scouted" the top 3 guys. Is Rose a true Point Guard or can he play Shooting guard? That might alter who I want. I think Kirk and Rose can co-exist if Rose can play the 2. but I dont think Rose and Gordon can if Rose played 1.

According to MSNBC, Obama has picked up 10 of Edwards' 18 pledged delegates. TOTAL: Obama 1,916.5 to 1,724.5 They also project Obama will pick up 2 more of Edwards's IA delegates, but it is not official so it is not included in the count. Edit: Reddy, I am assuming your dad is the mentioned "David *****"? Update: Based on those numbers, if Obama gets 30% of the delegates in KY, he crosses the 50% barrier. No need for OR to even come in to "officially" declare victory under the current rules.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 01:57 PM) MSNBC's First Read i read that a little bit ago. Very strange. i wont work against Obama, but I'll vote against him? huh?

I prefer 2 threads for GENERAL GOP and DEM talk, not election related. If something major comes up, it should warrant its own non-sticky thread that will go away on its own as time moves on. As for the general election... One bi-partisan thread on the issues and other general election topics. One thread for just polling.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 01:50 PM) Agreed. I think it would be foolish to have 2 freshman Senators running on the same ticket. I'd prefer a Governor on the ticket or even Bloomberg. exactly. Give Webb a few years around the block and let he run as a Pres. / VP in 2016 with Edwards or Richardson
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 01:40 PM) BTW Richardson has really grown on me. The more I read up on him the more I'd like to see him be an integral part of the Obama presidency. and the more I see of Webb the less I like. I think he has potential, but he isnt ready for prime time.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 20, 2008 -> 01:38 PM) Funny that poll doesn't include the guy I think is most likely to be VP. And he'd pretty much guarantee a New Mexico win. yea, i noticed that too.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 10:17 AM) Although New Mexico will be important I wouldn't pick a VP based on what they could do for that one state. Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida are more important IMO. ask... and thou shall recieve....

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 10:17 AM) Although New Mexico will be important I wouldn't pick a VP based on what they could do for that one state. Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida are more important IMO. I just thought it was interesting. I;d be curious to see similar polls elsewhere.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 09:59 AM) Is that specific to New Mexico or the entire map? That s just NM.
-
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 20, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) Some more info from McCain, the foreign policy "expert": Everyone always thinks that Ahmadinejad is the one we should be afraid of. He's not quite as low as a "figure head", but he's in the middle.

Oregon and Kentucky Caucuses thread
HuskyCaucasian replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in The Filibuster
Here is why it ends tonight, even if Clinton is in world class denial. Hillary's argument is that since FL and MI havent been counted, she can still win and Obama needs the superdelegates. Well, after tonight even IF you include FL and MI as is (with Obama getting the 55 uncommitted in MI), obama needs only 30% of the delegates from Puerto Rico to win 50% of the pledged delegate count. And with the supers as they stand today, Obama would need less than 100 of the 215 to win. -

Obama may want to pay VERY close attention to this poll.. In a survey conducted in New Mexico by Survey USA, a Obama / Edwards ticket ran strongest against any possible McCain ticket. In fact Obama / Edwards was the only combo to beat McCain.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 19, 2008 -> 12:36 PM) He also got a nudge from Warren Buffet today (not a Superdelegate for anyone except Berkshire). The guy knows what he is talking about. That is a GREAT Obama talking point.
