WOW! i normally dont find her overly attractive because she is too skinny, and frankly, I like boobs. But, WOW was she smokin hot the other night. Very Classy / Sexy.

Interesting note: This Edwards endorsement REALLY huts Clinton's MI and FL fight. In FL, let's assume Edwards' 13 delegates shift to Obama. The count is then Clinton 105 - Obama 80. A net of only 25, rather than 38. In MI, Clinton cant argue that Obama shouldn't get all 55 of the "uncommitted" delegates because Edwards was still alive when MI voted. So, at the very lease Obama should get 55 MI delegates to Clinton's 73.

QUOTE (Reddy @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:30 PM) ps just an interesting tidbit, my dad is an Edwards delegate from Iowa... i'm not sure yet where he's decided to go or if he'll stay with Edwards. Too bad Edwards endorsed because he was looking forward to that call from Obama and Hillary and was planning on asking them for a jetski. Jetski Is he one of the state "regional" delegates or one of the 45 that go to Denver?

Obama's Short List for VP Leaked to Press... ok, not really.

QUOTE (bmags @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:57 PM) and another thing, opening up dialogue is not negotiating. exactly. I think any therapist would tell you that nothing gets done when you scream at each other from across the room (or the world). There needs to be a calm organized talk. Obviously these are different situations, but you get my point.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:51 PM) And then he tried to talk the world in to it. yea. that part pisses me off. If you dont agree, then step aside.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) Powell actually has a sense for how to deal with other countries. BushCo is dominated by people who feel that America should just bludgeon their way through to what they need. That's why Powell was eventually, unceremoniously, sent packing. I think i heard he tried to talk bush out of the Iraq war.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:35 PM) Actually, McCain's statement there (while I disagree with its assumptions) is much more reasonable, and is not the same as what Bush said. Bush talked about appeasing terrorists. McCain points out his view that negotiating with Iran is a bad idea. I corrected the opening statement. youa re right. He was less harsh than Bush. I think a while back that even Colon Powell, a man with great respect among Americans, also said we should talk to these other countries rather than put out head in the sand. If someone can find a link about that i'd appreciate it.

And McCain is kinda onboard with Bush, less harsh: McCain: Obama Naive and Inexperienced

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) I know one thing: Our President is an idiot. Well, i know for sure we agree on one thing.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2008 -> 02:12 PM) It's certainly possible for the government to spend more money, with the price of oil they're raking in as much as any of the other nations out there when their pipelines aren't blown up. But there's frankly no reason for them to do so, especially for the people in power. The more Iraqi money they spend, the less American money comes in to the country and the less money winds up being there in total. I thought I heard on the radio that the is a bill in congress (not sure about where it was) that is saying that the Iraqi government MUST pay $1 for every $2 we spend on reconstruction. The basic premises was, we are paying to rebuild, you need to step up and help.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2008 -> 01:48 PM) He was taken out of context on the 100 years, but that isn't what I was talking about either. I mean this most recent quote, that you pointed out. In that case, the context of the quote was everything. I was just doing the math. He said by 2013, the war in iraq would be over. So, let's assume it's by 2010 for the sake of argument. When you combine his 2 statements, we will be there until 2110. If McCain wants to retract or revise his stanc eon this, he is more than welcome. It'll be seen as a flip-flop. But he is entitled to change his mind.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2008 -> 12:40 PM) I am not saying that McCain is "right" on the war, I am saying that that statement was taken lcompletely out of context. I dont think so. Well, ok, kinda. Yes, he did NOT say that we will be fighting there for 100 years. That is pretty obvious to me. but he DID say we would keep a security force or training forces there for 100 year. Maybe a 1000, ect... That is not acceptable to me. Peace in Iraq is NOT similar to peace in Korea. They are very different situations.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 15, 2008 -> 09:37 AM) The last 3 hours of the season, starting tonight, should be exceptional as usual. Keamy is a badass. For those who do not know, the LOST season finale is 3 hours long. Part one is tonight. Parts 2 and 3 are May 29th. There was a rumor that on May 29th they may air Part 1 before the 2 final hours, but I have not seen that confirmed. A 3 hour marathon finale would be badass.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 15, 2008 -> 01:20 PM) It was pretty obvious who he was referring to since the other Dem running for president does not share Obama's views on bringing our enemies to the table. He was also taking on Jimmy Carter. But, it was clearly an attempt to paint Obama as weak on terror.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 15, 2008 -> 12:37 PM) Dude come on..... In January, John McCain said we should be in Iraq for 100 years. He later amended the statement and said that he meant 100 years after peace in Iraq and no more Americans are dying. He then added we might be there 1,000 years or 10,000 years. Under John McCain's plan, we will be out of Iraq by roughly 2113. Or maybe 3113. Maybe even 12,113. Do you really want American troops in Iraq until 2113? Vote Obama in November. He's the only choice to get us safely out of Iraq and end the needless deaths of hard working American troops He said what he said. He can try and explain it all he wants. But to the American public, Iraq = death of Americans and money ill-spent. Saying we will be there for 100, 1000, or 10,000 years is not going to sit well with most. It is up to HIM now to try to explain to the american people why 1000 years in Iraq is good for us. My personal view is pull them all out now. No "security forces" for 100 years. No "security agreements". All out now, with the exception of those few who may be there to protect the embassy.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2008 -> 12:29 PM) This is a prime example of McCain (or insert other candidate name here) being taken wildly out of context by the media (CNN's headline reads same). He was giving a speech, and was illustrating what the world and the country would look like at the end of his first term - in 2013. He mentioned a number of things, including that the Iraq war would be won, and most of the troops would be home. He did NOT say that it would necessarily take that long. and what in the last 2 years has shown this is anywhere near REAL peace? Not this fake "cease fire" by some leaders.
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ May 15, 2008 -> 12:50 PM) So while McCain's statement certainly doesn't mean he wants the war to last 100 years, it's kind of misguided and irrelevant to begin with so it's all a moot point. I should note in my own defense, I do NOT think McCain intends on fighting in Iraq for 100 years. But he DID say we will have troops there.. in a country that has only known peace when it was being oppressed by a ruthless dictator.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 15, 2008 -> 12:55 PM) I love Joe Biden. His response to Bush's comments today: WOW! He went off. Good for him. Bush can make those comments here if he wants. but dont try and knee cap the next guy in front of a foreign country.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 15, 2008 -> 10:01 AM) IBoth McCain and Obama make investments with their money, as any halfway intelligent person with money does. They invest in mutual funds, and their buddies do too. Of course naturally, somehow, in some indirect way, that could tie them both to something evil. No surprise there. I fail to see why its a big deal. That's a good point. Good thing I dont have any money invested. I think I can run for office now

Obama picks up 4 edwards pledged delegates Obama picked up three delegates in South Carolina and one in New Hampshire, both states that held their primaries in January.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 15, 2008 -> 09:39 AM) http://newsbusters.org/blogs/terry-trippan...vestments-sudan Hopefully Obama will give them the boot. The problem with "big investors" is they often have less than clean ties. They are in it for the money. They'll invest in what gives them the most. Not that there aren't "upstanding" investors, but I tend to think the big guys are not.
