QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 07:25 AM) Video of the tornado/funnel cloud. http://33whitehall.video.blip.tv/uploadedF...yTornado964.mp4 That's AWESOME!!! Did you shoot that? I was just there this weekend (my wife's family if from NE of Iowa City). This tornado was all they were talking about.

My wife's family is WAY to relaxed. Her parents and sister live about 7-10 miles North East of Iowa city. My dad called us asking if they were ok, so my wife called her parents. Her dad, "oh yea. no big deal. It was south of 80. Nothing effecting us." lol

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:55 AM) I think it would be fun to work for Mike North.... unlike most people I like his show not because he is right about everything but because it makes me laugh. And he gets the best interviews too. One of the problems he had (I dont knwo if this is still the case) is that he would often blow through comerical breaks without caring and totally ignoring the producers. THen he would get pissed off when the producers played more commercialsat the next break to compensate for the ones he made the station miss. "THat break was supposed to be 3 minutes. WTF is with this 4 minutes $hit?"

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) Did you know John Mamola at all? I worked with him for a while, and was a great guy. Naaa. i never met him. He was long gone before I showed up in the afternoon.

As a former score intern, I can tell you this.... Mike North is a VERY hard person to work for. He thinks is is God's gift to radio when in actuallity he knows very little. Murph is the most hated of all the score hosts. Most of his producers quit. No one likes working for him and producers (not of his show) are in fear of his wrath. Boers and Bersie is possibly the most coveted producer position. They allow you to be creative and just have a fun time 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. JHood (he was at the Score when i was there) was genuinelly one of the nicest people I have every met.

That's pretty cool!

THe gold glove has basically become.... Pretty good Glove with a VERY nice bat. It's more about bat and glove than pure glove.

QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) I'm sayin! Though I thought I heard they were getting a HD helicopter? They are. That way we can watch crappy traffic in HD! lol

Nice studio... but give me High Def!

I love it. it looks amazing, but DAMN they have a lot of seating areas. At least at Comiskey (Ok, US Cellular) it's a simple seating layout. The new Busch... WOW! Tons of levels and ticket price levels.

That banner montage is AWESOME!!! I wish COmcast would have actually shown it. I'd have recorded it and burnt it onto DVD for all times.

QUOTE(spiffalicious @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 06:26 PM) Banner Video // youtube || megaupload We Are The Champions // youtube || megaupload 2006 Intro // youtube || megaupload --This video is cut off at the end. The guys next to me decided this would be a great time to walk past me to get another beer. I'm pretty sure they kept repeating the same footage, though, so I don't think I missed anything. Holy crap! You're video was better than Comcast SportsNet!!! (I'm not joking here. I'm serious.)

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) Serious? It's a bag of white powder behind the mound that pitchers use to dry their hands. Just don't use Doc Gooden's. Yea, that's a whole differant type of white pouder...

QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) technically its undefined You are correct. THanks for the correction. It's been a long time since I took a math class. I mean, it's infinity because if you pitched 9 innings, you would have given up infinite runs because you gave up runs without getting an out. But if you cant get an out, you cant picth 9 innings. So, i just comfused myself. Mathematically it's undefined
-
QUOTE(G&T @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:52 PM) What if you give up runs without making any outs? Like that guy on the Royals a few years ago? Technically your ERA is infinity (well, non-existant since you cant devide by zero) , but it's listed as 99.99
-
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:41 PM) How the hell is ERA calculated? o_________________________O (ER/IP)*9 Buehrle: (3/4)*9=6.75 So basically.... Its how many runs you give up per inning expanded over a full game (9 innings)

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) There's a reason he's from Fox.. true.... true.... Where weather God Skilling whne you need him?
-
QUOTE(chunk23 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) If the game is called none of the stats count. There goes Dye's 2 infield hits! lol
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:34 PM) Yeah, it's supposed to restart at 10:30 p.m. CT. I hope that is the case. But the guy on Fox said it'ss going to be rainign for a whil eand new stuff is developing. He gave it about a 10% chance of restarting.
-
QUOTE(SouthsideBlitz @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 08:33 PM) His ERA is in the mid 6 right now. 6.75 to be exact
-
Just saw the radar, this game wont be restarted in my opinion. They'll have rain for another hour or MORE.
