QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 10:33 AM) with the constant amendments being added to a bill, I think this is a good thing. Only in America would we tie drilling for oil in Alaska to a highway appropriations bill. THat is EXACTLY why I like it. THings have changed a lot int he last 200 years. Now odd things are tied into bills and the president can't veto the WHOLE bill because oppents will say "see! he's weak on defense" When actually is is against providing $100,000 to the state of main to study the maiting habits of ants. If he DOESNT veto the bill, money is spent on crap. Needless to say, unless the Congress gets it butt in gear, line item veto is a must.

Thomas takes high road in response to Williams
HuskyCaucasian replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I love how ESPN fraims it that he took the High Road responce when his comments that SPARKED Williams were very LOW Road in bashing the organization. -
QUOTE(Soxy @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) I hereby propose replacing Valentine's day with ice cream and muff diving day. Well, my valentines day was pretty close to that. Replace Ice Cream with the two of us cooking dinner together, followed by watching our favorite TV shows, followed by Muff Diving... that was my Feb 14th lol

QUOTE(mr_genius @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 05:44 PM) oh really? please explain... i like macs, but they are less likely to have a virus directed towards their OS because of apple's smaller market share. (ps. this is a weighted question, i have a masters in computer science) From Mac experts I have heard and talked to, Mac is safer, but not impenitrable. It has a lot to do with the permission and the way you instal programs. on Windows, a lot of stuff can be installed without you knwoing about it. on Mac, it requires you to enter a password. If you dont knwo what a program is, why would you install it?

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 03:01 PM) My understanding was the language changes to the Mac OS to accomodate Intel would make virus writing easier for the mainstream virus writer. It would be less of a learning curve. You are right, now that I put my hardware brain back on, it really shouldn't make much of a difference. That would be a 100% correct. Either way, to write a mac virus, you need to have a Mac to write/test it. So, either way, the processor shouldn't mater. you need to own a mac either way.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 20, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) BTW, if I was a Mac OS user, I'd be more worried about the viruses that will follow the move to Intel architecture. It will make Mac a nicer target. Hate to disapoint, but viruses have NOTHING to do with the proccessor a computer uses. It's about vulnerablities in the OS. OS X is more secure than Windows, but not totally impenitrable.

I have no problem with this. It's a website that shows how to circumnavigate a copywrite and illegally hack an OS. THis is no differant that shutting down Napster for illegally sharring music.

QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Feb 16, 2006 -> 07:30 AM) Now that I've read the whole thing, you'll want to read this article. He puts a major rip on A-Rod. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2332682 -
Call my synical, but there tend to be a lot of wierd ways people hurt themselves. I'm no so sure he broke his hand while "working out". With that being said, KW knew about a hairline fracture in Young's hand that he knew would give way any day now. That's why he trated him. THe Sox doctors covered it up!

That's freaking awesome!

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 10:16 AM) Scarlett looks porcelain to me. But not too thick. Keira Knightley doesnt need to be showing off her ribs like that though I agree on both counts. Scarlett needs a tan and Keira needs a months worth of BurgerKing Cheeseburgers. PS: TO all your Score fans, anyone notice my new signature?

THis team sucks and will suck until the Watzes put the Hawks on TV to rebuild a fan base and get more butts in the seats so they can actually pay for real talent! -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 08:21 AM) MVP graphics look light years ahead of 2k IMO. You're 100% correct. i think THe motions in 2K dont look very realisitc while MVP is awesome. THis new exclusive deal royally sucks since EA makes better games. but hay, that's what happens when MLB tries to get in bed with ESPN.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 05:31 PM) You also get other games too and can listen to several great broadcasters around the country. It really is great.
