  1. Let’s go! This would be a great move!
  2. Think he’s spot on at the end regarding what’s needed to get Crochet
  3. Where are the orioles? This doesn’t quantify need. The basic threshold of buying versus selling only factors in organizational strategy. The assets themselves and the need for those assets is the qualitative assessment that tells the real story. Buyers versus sellers by itself is a measurement but it’s misleading as the only variable looked at.
  4. The timing of striking a deal rests entirely on the package being offered
  5. Wake me up when you make a worthwhile statement. Btw, you’re = you are… as in you’re welcome
  6. Regaining some value is fine, but not as far as implying a discount. Get what he’s worth or try again after the season.
  7. Looks like they’re shopping Fedde then
  8. Elias wouldn’t want him then anyway, better to spin him off elsewhere ?
  9. Paul O’Neil at least hit a home run and a triple for a kid in the hospital. But the triple was just as good as a second home run. Unconfirmed, may have caught a ball in his hat the next game.
  10. I don’t think we know that’s the case, but even if it were true, it doesn’t set the market. The Yankees really like their guy and probably evaluate him beyond his #75 rating.
  11. It might be okay, but another solid piece needed if Kopech included
  12. A good market isn’t 2 55’s and a 45 with that amount of control. Kick the can
  13. Not worth it, keep him and ride it out until the value increases. Those prospects aren’t moving the needle and he isn’t blocking anyone. This is one to be patient with.
  14. I take that as a sign he rested his arm over the break. He ended the season healthy, there’s no indication that hitting low 90’s now is a sign of anything negative.
  15. It seemed consistent with what the Oriole trolls were determining. The players they were adamant were not being moved, versus on the table, translated pretty much exactly to what Burnes cost.
  16. Calculated risk still holds true
  17. I’d prefer to reset offers for Cease at the deadline or even next year. The point is that an offer like Ortiz and Hall may be adequate for 1 year of Cease, although that’s certainly argumentative. To suggest Getz should take that for 2 years of Cease, because of the risk of his arm falling off, doesn’t make sense to me. It’s a risk but a calculated one.
  18. In that scenario, it makes sense due to Fletcher’s ability to play CF.
  19. There’s a far cry from a known #2 with 2 years control and hopefully, maybe #3 with 6 years of control.
