  1. You misinterpreted what he said, and Hawk's losing it?
  2. Credit that also for Cubs fans not willing to pay full price to start trouble.
  3. I have no problem letting him get his head together on the bench for a little while. Howeverm do you wait until Maggs gets back, or do you move Rowand back in CF and let Gload have a spot in right for a couple games, assuming that's the timeline for Maggs (which could be more or less.)
  4. It was addressed, Ozzie said he was about putting the team first instead of personal stats.
  5. Sadly that's the case there a lot. I often post there, and I can tell you it's not a place for the timid or easily offended. I for one like this idea. I think it will help our park stand out more, and also help raise attendance by making it more of a place to bring your families. Looks good too IMO.
  6. What? Are you mad at the seats being changed or are you mad about something else? I go to games just the same, but I enjoy the idea of improving the stadium. I don't know of anyone saying they will go or not based on the color of the seats.
  7. It's not as if some of the fans are going to stop coming with the park looking the way it is now, but there's nothing wrong with improving it. I think anyone who doesn't want to see an improvement in any park would no doubtedly be in the minority. Obviously the game and the payers are the most important, but I would enjoy being in a good looking stadium as well. It reflects the image of the Sox, and I enjoy making that image as good as possible.
  8. All of the above. What's wrong with making the stadium look better?
  9. Not this year, it's part of the Phase V plans. Probably during the offseason.
  10. I'm sure it won't be hard to approve the color of the seats being changed. Anyway, that's what was said, so it really doesn't matter what either of us think, it looks like it's going to be done anyway.
  11. It just adds to a classic look. Will it affect people buying a ticket or not? No, but that doesn't mean it won't look nicer if they do. I'm all for it.
  12. FSN said they are going to have the green seats. Besides, don't you already know.
  13. Those are still going to happen, at least the green seats will. This is just a part of the Phase V of what they're going to do.
  14. I really don't care to give up anything for anyone on their roster either, with the exception of Freddy Garcia. That guy isn't a bum and would bge a much welcome addition.
  15. Is it really necessary to try to start an Aaron Rowand debate when discussing Crede. It's one thing to want Willie in the lineup, and another to criticze Rowand's defense when he hasn't done anything to cost us, and has actually played pretty good defense this season, IMO.
  16. He will turn it around. I don't know why he isn't having fun though, he's hitting as hard of a .207 as one can hit. He's won more than a few games with his stick already. Relax Joe, we need you. I have no worries though, he'll be fine. He's still contributing, which is hard to say about someone in the kind of funk he's in.
  17. Joe is a very good third baseman IMO, and I don't see any permanent move changing that. However, he'll need his days off too, and maybe a few consecutive from time to time until he gets out of his funk. He just needs to relax, and when he does, he will take off. But for his days off, Uribe will fill in at third just fine. He's looked better than expected IMO over there. He is our utility man still, even though it's imperrative that he stay in the lineup in some capacity. Right now though, with Harris recovering, both Crede and Uribe need to be in the lineup.
  18. Agreed, I would rather go after Garcia and extend him, which I feel we have a real good shot at.
  19. He got screwed on a couple big calls there as well yesterday.
  20. I wouldn't stress it, there is some major talent out there in the draft. How far they fall, we'll just have to see.
  21. Everyone should keep in mind Garcia is in a contract year, so you don't give up too much for the guy. I like the idea of acquiring him, especially since I feel we have a good chance to resign him. Who knows, it's these kind of moves that may have Maggs wanting to stick around. We'll see, but whether Maggs walks or not, I wouldn't mind having this guy in the rotation. He could realistically be a legitimate ace.
  22. He might be a good left handed specialist next year for his MLB season debut.
  23. He isn't stretched out for it, and the only way to stretch him out is to send him down. Not only that, but Kelly has struggled in ST and since down in the minors. Wunsch is a good pitcher, but that scenerio is more of a gamble than letting Diaz have a shot who's been absolutely lights out.
  24. He'll probably be a throw in some deal at the break. Hopefully for Freddy Garcia.
