  1. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 11:11 AM) I'm not going to fault her. To be honest.. I hope this was last on her list of things to review with all the other problems in Michigan... Was it Stabenow? She's an idiot.
  2. Why can't refineries just increase the amount of Ethanol in fuel? Wouldn't that reduce the amount of oil that America uses?
  3. I admit that I, as well, want Mackowiak on the Sox. But, seriously Jabroni...you are starting to sound like Anthrax and his unnatural love for Orlando Cabrera. We should be realistic. Most likely, Pittsburgh will probably not trade him unless they get a better offer than Borchard, Adkins, Diaz..etc.
  4. I thought I'd start it out, since it's less than 30 days til the draft. Have at it!
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 17, 2005 -> 03:42 AM) You have anyone in mind? Not really. I just think that Diaz may get his next MLB opportunity with a different franchise. EDIT: Okay, now that I think about it... Maybe he could go to Arizona for Cintron.
  6. I can see Diaz getting moved in a deal for a 3rd baseman before the season starts. He has been throwing with some velocity and showed well versus KC yesterday. KW may get a few calls in the next few weeks regarding him.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 16, 2005 -> 12:59 PM) um, what's a pole cat? A skunk
  8. I saw that article posted yesterday and wondered how long it was going to be before someone posted the "illegal to post Insider articles" posting here. Hmm, almost a whole day, you guys are getting slow.
  9. You set up a poll every 3 or 4 days. The first poll would be the 49ers. "With the first pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select:" Then you put 4 or 5 players and "other" as options. The members of Soxtalk vote, then, after 3-4 days, the vote is tabulated. The next poll has The Dolphins and 5 different options, with the 49ers pick in the written area...It's a perpetual thing, until all 32 picks are done. Towards the end, you can speed up the voting time if you need to, so that the mock draft is over before the real draft begins.
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) I haven't read the other Thomas threads, but I was watching Sportscenter at 6, and they said Frank could just do his part via a satellite due to his ankle. Then, Schilling would want to do that as well because of his ankle.
  11. We should do the voting mock draft like we did last year.
  12. Well, at least they scored the runs in the 9th off of SASAKI.
  13. QUOTE(backman @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) i heard something, did marrquette loose? yess thhey ddid.
  14. Me personally, I'm more disappointed in Iguchi's defense this spring. It seems that he has had trouble with fielding so far. Does anyone know his spring training fielding percentage?
  15. Fleming is gone, Broccoli is passed on, the actor who played "Q" is gone as well. There are many, many other options in the action genre to choose form today than there were 40 years ago. Brosnan was not "A" list, but was well known and an obvious choice as Bond. Jackman would be the best choice, IMO for the franchise.
  16. McMahon always seems to play the bad guy, Bond is always the winner, not the bad guy. So, by default, I guess I would take Daniel Craig. Though, neither actor has enough star power to draw fans into the theater for a dying franchise like the Bond movies, IMO.
  17. QUOTE(silver and black @ Mar 15, 2005 -> 12:04 AM) "What did the snail say on the turtles back?" "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" :headshake Oh yeah. Classic DJ cheese. I was just thinking of that joke in this thread. That Kasper guy for the Flubs sounds way too nasally, it's freaking annoying. I'm glad I don't have to listen to him doing Sox games.
  18. There go those pointless "intangibles" again. :headshake
  19. DePaul going to Missouri is bulls*** too. I am officially pissed at Notre Dane since they lost the Pittsburgh game and collapsed against Rutgers. :puke But, if they get past Holy Cross, it's clear sailing to DePaul/Missouri.
  20. Was that lady a gold-digging stripper?
  21. Pretty exciting time. Sorry some of you guys had to autodraft.
  22. I'd lean towards Beckett as well. His health does make people nervous, however. If Harden isn't going to be quality for 2 years, why not just wait and draft him in the draft? Then you can keep him as a keeper for next year.
  23. What's with the hard-on for Harden? Heh. Why is he so highly touted?
