My company was headquartered in Indiana originally, now it's in Connecticut. I believe that you pay the state tax of the state of your home residence.

QUOTE(SnB @ Nov 27, 2007 -> 06:24 PM) Old people, I need your advice. So I had an interview w/ hertz at the beginning of the month. The guy really liked me and kind of told me that I would get offered the job. He said look out for a phone call, etc. He also said I could work there over christmas break if I wanted to. The problem is that he thought I was graduating in december, not may. That got straightened out early on though. I haven't heard from them since this interview. My question is, would it be ok to call him up and ask him what my status is? What the progress of their job search is? etc Because I feel like I have this job and I just don't want to do anything to screw it up. But on the other hand, I don't want to count on something I don't have. Don't call. Stop in, in person.

2008 Hall of Fame Ballot
QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Nov 27, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) Rock is the best choice in the last box. Better than a 288 game winner (John) or a 580 hr guy (Mac)? McGwire; Congress aside, has never been proven of steroid use.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 27, 2007 -> 08:43 AM) State taxes are decided by where you earn them. http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Taxes/P112872.asp They can avoid some income taxes on endorsements and other off the field stuff, but he will be paying California income tax for his Angels salary, at least for home games. I work in Indiana and pay Michigan state tax.

Rays Want New Waterfront Ballpark
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Nov 22, 2007 -> 06:49 PM) The new stadium would allow the Rays to draw people from out of the ocean, ... those are your real baseball fans. Mermaids or Cubans on rafts?

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2007 -> 10:46 PM) Heh, well... The first time she came over to our place, her and I started up this really indepth conversation about our lives, while my roommate kind of sat back. I've also gone out to dinner with her twice...they've yet to do the same. She told me she considers me her best friend, despite the fact that I've only known her a couple months, and as soon as she told me that, that's when the texts picked up. She probably tells me she misses me a couple times of day, and that she loves me. She also said she finds it really hard to be as open with people as she is with me. However, she really seems into my roommate, and they hump like rabbits. I dunno. I'm the kind of guy who's bros before hos. I haven't really sensed her being "into" me. It's just kind of interesting how it's unfolding. Kinda high schoolish. Oh, and she is good looking. Heh. You're her new girlfriend. Maybe she think's that you're gay...

Eight Men Out
Decent. I enjoyed the period scenes of listening to baseball via stock ticker and announcers using megaphones. I've never been a fan of the plot because of being a Sox fan though. Then again, that opinion was formed before the '05 season.

Jon Garland traded for Orlando Cabrera
