  1. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:42 PM) Another fantastic arm for Arizona. Bauer & Bradley is a fine pair. He's a much better prospect than Loux. Worked out well for them.
  2. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:37 PM) What the hell are you on? Healthy Strasburg/Zimmerman, Harper will be up next year and Rendon? Yeah, I like that foundation.
  3. Will Arizona go with another pitcher? I see them nabbing Lindor.
  4. Good move by the Nats. They should be running the NL, along with the Braves, really soon.
  5. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:31 PM) Good call. He wasn't Plan A, but it worked out nicely. Just made too much sense. Hosmer and Moustakas have the corners locked up for the forseeable future. Starling is a perfect fit.
  6. Oh my goodness. Starling to the Royals. Their dynasty is imminent.
  7. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:27 PM) Law is guessing Rendon falls to Washington. I wonder if KC is tempted. They were really on pitching with this pick. If they go position player I'd be shocked if it's not Starling.
  8. This is the right year to have a top 15 pick if you're seeking pitching.
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:21 PM) Mayo says Orioles not on Rendon. Slide city. Wow. Really? Damn.
  10. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:15 PM) Pitching wise sure. I'm shocked quite frankly. They desperately need offense in that system/lineup. A tandem of Rendon/Ackley/Smoak could be dangerous. Especially now that Ackley is hitting as advertised. Looks like Rendon's shoulder has spooked a lot of teams. Wouldn't be surprised if the Orioles took a shot at him.
  11. QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 06:14 PM) wow! this is going to mix up most draft boards, awesome! I predicted that earlier in this thread. This is great. Even though we're obviously not a part of this.
  12. lol. I knew it. Wow, If Hultzen zooms through the system as fast as most think that's going to be one devastating trio in Seattle.
  13. Franciso Lindor to the Cubs gathering steam. That'd actually be a nice pick. Worry about what you do with he and Castro later.
  14. Yeah, some guys just don't get it. I'd be surprised if he were still alive five years from now.
  15. QUOTE (Cali @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) Sometimes I wish, just once they Sox could get a #1 pick if only for one year, to get that stud, that consensus TOP GUY to boost the system. But, with KW et al in charge, they'd Ryan Leaf it somehow haha (I know Leaf was #1 but you get the metaphor) This is kinda why I'm so in favor of a total rebuild. And why I could live with (though I concede it won't be easy) 2-3 s***ty years if that enables us to fatten up the system with premium studs. Winning 81-85 games every year doesn't tickle my fancy.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) You guys are seriously overreacting. But oh well. That's what people said back in March.
  17. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 12:40 PM) Supposedly the Royals are lukewarm on Starling. Much of the connection is just because he's a local boy and it's severely overstated. They are all over college pitching or Bundy who is just about as polished. Yeah, that was just a random guess. The Royals are probably even more inclined to go pitcher after what happened to John Lamb. Starling will definitely not slip past Washington, though. Rizzo loves him. The Nationals are going to be a powerhouse really soon.
  18. QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) THAT will not happen. A genuine 5-tool talented player like Bubba will go top 3, IMHO. Possible, quite possible, dare I even say it...Junior-type-caliber-player????? I know it won't. And that mock I saw was from like 3 weeks ago. He'll probably end up with the Royals. You know how badly their farm is lacking. As far as comparisons go, the best one I've heard was Drew Stubbs with more plate discipline.
  19. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) Just found this lmao. The first ten rounds? I hate this organization more and more each passing day.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 11:09 AM) Just reading brief summary and not reviewing any mock drafts besides top 10 picks, the player who jumps out at me as someone that KW and company might like and is ranked in the 50 range is Anthony Meo of Coastal Carolina. I read about him. I'd be surprised if he made it to us. Really nice arm. But any scouting report that says "future closer" scares me. I don't care if this is a supplemental pick. We NEED starting pitching.
