  1. Mavs HAVE to win game 5. The Heat are more than capable of winning two at home. But no way in hell the Mavs win two in Miami.
  2. QUOTE (qwerty @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 03:56 AM) Hopefully the power follows shortly. His slugging doesn't cut it for any position other than pitcher. Once morel can get past juan pierre's career slugging mark... or starts taking walks at a respectable rate i will start getting a tad more excited. I'm not even greedy asking for both to click at once... but until then he is worthless offensively. For whatever it is worth, i have less faith in him growing into some solid power than i do him learning how to take a walk. I can't see him even sniffing crede's numbers, and if he does, it will likely be years down the road. My reputation is shot. If I say this I'm just being negative. But this is exactly how I feel.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 05:11 AM) http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7562 Can we starting getting some credit for developing this guy? Typical "big athlete" who never really profiled as a true SS and ended up getting moved all over the field. His power was questionable for a corner infielder or outfielder. Seems like he's finally found a home at age 29. How do we deserve credit for that?
  4. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:03 AM) Man, J4L, you're awesome. But that Heads post was even better. Heads bookmarked that post so if by chance Humber rose from the abyss of worthless baseball pitcher he could throw it back at me.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 10:53 PM) If that happens, someone better be fired. Pretty much. We're not talking about some premium talent here. But I'm certainly not going to be checking every day to see if he's signed yet. Bust of a pick and a horrible draft overall.
  6. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 10:17 PM) Yahoo Sports on Walker The Pick: Keenyn Walker, OF. The Buzz: If there was a more ho-hum day for any prospect, it was Walker, who has been drafted each of the last three years now. His stock has improved each time from the mid-30s, to mid-teens, and now into the sandwich picks. The Sox like his potential to be a top of the order hitter, but he has been slow to develop his batter's eye. The ceiling is fairly low for this pick and does not excite very much. lol. I really don't care if he signs.
  7. Did we just beat Pineda and Felix? I'm going to be very pissed off if we lose to Vargas tomorrow.
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) 20 rounds--no Guillen Maybe Ozzie snaps and says demeaning things about the organization and gets fired?
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) Sox haven't taken a prep player yet have they? Nope
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 02:49 PM) So is that it for today? 10 rounds? Not even close. Rounds 2-30 today. 31-50 tomorrow.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) We are now at the point that I am ok drafting Ozzie's kid. That would be the cherry on the sundae. This has been a putrid draft for the Sox so far. 2006 style. I like the Soptic pick. That's it.
  12. OK, I've never heard of Snograg or whatever. But his college stats suck.
  13. QUOTE (Fantl916 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 01:27 PM) anybody have scouting reports on Mcmillen and/or Snodgress? You can't find anything on mlb.com about any of our picks. You've got to google them to get any info.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 01:04 PM) What's wrong with McMillen at 141? That's 50 slots below his projection. Ramirez is the better prospect. But I guarantee you he'll cost more so we ran.
  15. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 12:57 PM) So it seems that the Sox have draft a good crop of pitchers so far. I don't think so save for Soptic.
  16. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 12:35 PM) finish 60-102 and you may get that kind of player I am still chcuckling about the cubs player's picture Or you could spend a little money.
  17. 100 MPH? That alone makes him a legitimate prospect.
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 12:03 PM) Has Josh Osich been drafted yet? Nope
  19. Brewers weren't kidding when they said they were going heavy pitching.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) Oh Washington, sign him! He'll be a tough sign. But totally worth it for them. They're playing with house money right now.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:40 AM) He pitched really poorly against Baylor in the regional: 5.1 innings, 10 runs, 9 walks 9 walks and 10 runs? Damn.
