Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:03 AM) You're joking right? Why would I want to see him throw a perfect game? I guess I am in the minority here but I don't give a s*** about anyone other than the White Sox.. im not watching a baseball game that does not involve the White Sox, nor do I have any desire to. I want every AL central team that is not from Chicago to fail, and fail miserably.. or in this case, hilariously.. I feel sorry for you. I'm with you as far as wanting our rivals to fail spectacularly. But there are so many exciting players and teams out there. I could never limit myself to White Sox only. Especially this POS Sox team.

Who should get a shot?
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 09:34 PM) Might as well completely destroy Thompson and Mitchell's futures. Play them while injured and never seeing anything above A ball. This current game has completely soured my outlook on the season. Um, ok.

Who should get a shot?
QUOTE (T R U @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) Why not, if its gonna be trash anyways at least see if the second batch of trash is less trashier than the first trash.. We have one of the worst farm systems in baseball. I won't feel any better calling up Jordan Danks and watching him K 50% of the time or Carlos Torres throw up an ERA over 6.

Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) If that umpire is not fired, then I'm done with baseball. LMAO. Hyperbole of the century. Joyce blew the call. Big whoop. We've seen three perfect games and a no-hitter within the last year. The world wasn't robbed because we didn't get to see another.

Who should get a shot?
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:41 PM) Agreed, you don't take a guy with that k-rate and expose him to better pitching. And then try and trade him after he inevitably fails at the big league level.

Who should get a shot?
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:36 PM) We haven't completely ruined a prospect for at least a year, so Thompson and Mitchell. I don't get it?

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:35 PM) PETCO obviously factored into Jake's numbers as well. But fathom, you know enough about baseball and have watched Jake enough too, you honestly wouldn't have thought that he'd be this bad this year, especially after his few starts last fall. Sometimes good players just have bad years. His xFIP is 4.19. That indicates he hasn't been nearly as bad as the 6.23 ERA. And I would agree.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) I really wish the Braves were buyers right now. Why? With Troy Glaus raking they have no need for Konerko. Unless they want Alex Rios? In which case we'd better get one of Julio Teheran or Mike Minor in return.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) Well, to be fair, last year he was hurt and the Cubs have tried numerous times to get him, for one. Now he's "healthy" and sporting an ERA over 6. We wouldn't get much better than what we gave up to get him at the moment.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) Even if you're a believer in Peavy, you should jump at the chance to trade him if someone is willing to take him. Nobody jumped at him last year when he was a Padre. Why would that change a year later, especially with his struggles?

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:24 PM) AJ > Napoli I know LA is struggling but they won't give up in that division. Napoli had an OPS of 1.098 last month. You're crazy.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) Does any contender have a really s***ty player at catcher? The Rays do. Unless you think John Jaso is good.

Who should get a shot?
QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:21 PM) I want to see Hudson. That's about it. Our system as a whole is trash. I don't want to see new trash replace old trash just for the hell of it.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:13 PM) He had a great stretch last year, but was awful the first couple months and limped home with an injury. I wonder if his hip is still a problem. I'm prejudice because I've never been a fan of his, but if KW could get something worthwhile for him, I would do cartwheels if he pulled the trigger. At this point, anybody on the roster not named Jake Peavy (I'm still a believer), Gordon Beckham, Alex Rios, Matt Thornton and Sergio Santos is fair game, IMO.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) But using the lucky/unlucky numbers, wasn't Floyd's 2008 stellar season basically really "lucky"? Yes, it was. But his 2009 was better than 2008 without as much "luck."

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 08:01 PM) God, Rendon is such a talent. I'd kill for that. As bad as we are, we're not Orioles bad.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 07:59 PM) I've been told his bloated ERA is due to being very unlucky. He has been to a degree. But not this night. He had flat nothing. Easily his worst performance I can remember since 2007. Between Floyd, Buehrle and Peavy, Daniel Hudson has by default become untouchable.

Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
I don't care that he was out. I don't want to see another perfect game from a non-White Sox pitcher for at least 10 years.

Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
That ump was obviously sick and tired of all the perfect games of late.
-
Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
They better get some extra security for that 1B ump.

Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2010 -> 07:44 PM) This would be just about the death of the perfect game, IMO. Buehrle's feels like it was 10 years ago.

Ken Griffey, Jr Retires
About three years too late. But what a player. The best I've seen (not including known steroid users) in my lifetime.

You've got to be kidding me! 3 outs away from another PG.
