  1. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 12:17 PM) Based on Thibs' comments, no chance they tank or even try to lose honorably. They will win 40-45 games, get a 4-5 seed and get a s***ty draft pick. It's not on thibs. The guy can't just purposely lose games. It's on the FO. They have to do the right thing. They do that, it won't matter what thibs says or does for this year. Unfortunately, this is the Bulls' front office. Yahoo will go 24 hours without a Kardashian article before the Bulls do something creative.
  2. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) I'm just saying it isn't as easy as that. Dump Deng, Boozer and Hinrich add Mirotic. Rose returns less than the player he has been. You have $10 million in cap space. Get a mid first round pick. You now are in NBA hell. A team too good to be in the lottery, let alone have a good chance of landing in the top 2 or 3 picks, and a team not nearly good enough to win a championship. Assuming Rose is never again the player he was, if you are going to blow it up, the only way that makes sense is to dump everybody. Rose and Noah included. Who said anything was gonna be easy?
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 10:32 AM) Stars win in the playoffs. Maybe Mirotic will be a star, but if he's Toni Kukoc, he's a really nice player, but complimentary. After the top 3 in this draft, it still is a crapshoot with really nice players who may or may not be guys who lead teams to championships. The Bulls more than likely won't be selecting very high this draft. Detroit is currently out of the lottery. The Charlotte pick may not even be a lottery pick. Again, if Rose isn't Rose, the Bulls championship dreams are toast until they find another star. So what, you hold on to guys that are only going to get older and worse instead of stockpiling as many young players/assets as you can?
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 10:20 AM) But even if you blow it up, it isn't going to help the Bulls that much. Get rid of Deng, Boozer, Hinrich, you have enough money to add a Taj Gibson-like player. If Rose isn't Rose, the Bulls will be screwed for a long time. Which is why you go after younger players (like q proposed) that you think you can develop and can help you long-term.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 10:05 AM) He could also just as easily get lazy and stop putting the work in, which would cut into his minutes. No disagreement on the talent though - you don't get drafted #2 if there's nothing there. And again, that's when you cut him. There was no risk here from Miami's pov. None.
  6. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 09:58 AM) Not necessarily that, but the dude's a headcase. I feel bad for him as a person because he's battled anxiety and/or depression issues in the past, but as a basketball player, he's a headcase. I can totally see him tripping over his own feet - smoking weed or doing whatever else, missing practices, getting arrested, and then getting cut because he's undependable and a cancer. If that happens then shame on him and he's outta the league. But the upside was there from jump.
  7. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 09:56 AM) LOL, i could totally see Beasley saying "My time now. Ball is in my hands, shoot" because that is what he has done his entire career He probably wont, but i could see it happening And that's when you cut his ass.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 09:53 AM) You are saying "wait on Lamb, it's only been 12 games." Beasley has played in 9 games. Let's wait before we declare him a good bench player. Maybe he keeps it up. Maybe he doesn't. Why wouldn't he on that team in that system? You think he's gonna just suddenly say, "f*** off LeBron, this is my team."
  9. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 09:45 AM) Just so we are clear, Beasley, as the #2 pick, has been a colossal bust thus far. Yes, he's played well off the bench this year - in limited minutes for the best team since the Jordan Bulls. We should probably hold off on throwing the parade. And just so we are more clear, that's what I said he could do. I didn't say he could be a starter. I said he could be a productive role player with Miami. And everybody was like, hahahaha. no way. He blows.
  10. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 26, 2013 -> 07:54 AM) Selling WAY too low. Lamb has been mediocre to poor and Adams is a project. Just this past offseason people were talking about Noah for Aldridge. And here's officer zoom shooting down another proposal. Monta Ellis? He sucks. He just hogs the ball and can't shoot. Michael Beasley? hahahaha. What a moron. He can't play. He smokes pot. Aldridge? hahaha. He shoots too many jumpers. He doesn't rebound enough. Lamb? Yeah, he's only 21 and played 12 games this year, but no. He's not efficient enough. I swear you secretly work for the bulls. How else could you be so bland and boring?
  11. Knicks/Nets now a combined 6-20. lol. I picked the Nets to beat the Heat. I deserve to be raped for that. LeBron with 35 points on 14 shots (11/14). Currently shooting 61% from the field, 48.8% from 3, and 80% from the ft line. If he does 60/40/80 for the season then yeah, they're going to have to change some rules. This is just Amanda Bynes crazy right now.
  12. 1/13 from three. One three point fg in 53 minutes in 2013. My goodness. Good loss. I think they could go 0 for this trip now.
  13. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 03:08 PM) They won 45 last year without Rose and the East is much worse. 35 wins might make the playoffs at this rate. They also won several playoff games without Rose, Deng or Hinrich. Basically everyone on the roster has to be traded or die for them to win less than 35 with how awful the league is. Not the league. The east. The Bulls wouldn't win 20 games out west with this current roster.
  14. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 01:30 PM) Michael Beasley has also been really good in his limited minutes. Sucks that the Heat were able to bring him in for nothing. If they get anything out of Oden it's done. It's probably already done. But it's like super done.
  15. Anybody peep Miami's offensive efficiency so far? A TEAM true shooting percentage of 61.7%. That's cartoon s***.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) solid lol. I thought I was the only one that thought that was lame as hell.
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 11:36 AM) How the f*** did Kobe pull that s*** off? He's Kobe. He owns LA. It'a a good deal if Kobe is still Kobe. If he comes back lookin' like Wizards MJ, yikes.
  18. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 11:29 AM) um... what? http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_...-angeles-lakers
  19. Damn, Lakers extended Kobe for two more years at nearly $49 million.
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 11:11 AM) For Boozer and Deng you need to try to maximize value. Hinrich isn't going to get anything of value so trade him today for a second round pick and force Thibs to play Teague 30+ minutes a game. That will put you on the right track to tanking right off the bat. Good point. Isn't Derek Fisher and all his 54 years still backing up Westbrook? They could be a match.
  21. Thibs has his faults. But the guy changed the game defensively dating back to '08. Give him longer, better athletes (no boozer) and no telling what he could do.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 10:56 AM) I said "shoulda" because the Bulls turned it down when Barnes was drafted. Because competing last year was #1 priority. When the hell was this?
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 25, 2013 -> 10:35 AM) Shoulda traded Deng for Barnes. Tank for Jabari. lol. warriors would never do that. Does suck they extended bogut, though. Noah for Barnes would at least get their attention.
  24. I'm totally pulling this out of my ass. Would anybody be opposed to taking back the awful Kendrick Perkins to go along with Jeremy Lamb for Noah? I like Lamb a lot. That's a legitimate long-term piece. Perkins only has one more year left after this one. Noah/Ibaka/Durant/Sefolosha/Westbrook is sick. I'll leave zoom to spit out the financials.
  25. Unfortunately, the Bulls play the Jazz tomorrow. My hope is they go like 3-23 or 4-26 against the west and are just so mentally deflated that they have to go through this s*** for a third year in a row that they lose games to east teams they shouldn't.
