  1. I think I'm going to stop talking about tanking. A Dunleavy 3 away from back to back losses to the Bucks and tonight blown out at home(with Deng back) by the Raptors. They might be just that bad anyway.
  2. Suns are on crack. I just checked their picks. Pacers first round pick, which will be like 30th. Wizards first round pick which is top 12 protected. Timberwolves pick which is top 13 protected. Then there's their own. And the way they're going that's not going to be much.
  3. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Dec 13, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) LOL! It was depressing at first but just like with the White Sox, I'm watching even though it's not pretty. I hope the end result is a loss, but if it isn't I'm not gonna get pissed off about it. Que Sera, Sera. I wouldn't care at all if not for the quality/depth of this upcoming draft. Who the hell knows when another draft like this will come along.
  4. The Bulls have done two things right since 1998: 1: Draft Rose 2: Hire Thibs You can nitpick here and there, but Thibs is a defensive messiah. Get this man some legitimate, versatile, lengthy athletes instead a bunch not all that talented, try hard guys who break down at the drop of a piece of toilet paper every single year and you'll really see something nice.
  5. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 01:29 PM) Noah was out part of that series too and they won the next year without Rose or Deng. But since you ignore stuff that doesn't fit your narrative, I will no longer bother. You brought up 2012. That Sixer team was awful. That's a series you still win. And last year they had Nate. He won game 4 by himself and was terrific the whole series. That's what you need. Not necessarily Nate. But guys that can stretch you out and take you off the bounce.
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 01:00 PM) They had a top-10 offense the year Rose tore his ACL. We haven't seen anything near a full roster since then. It's not like Kevin Durant would be a Bull right now if the great Pat Riley were running the team. The Heat would look just as bad if LeBron were out and Wade inevitably broke down trying to be the man again. Please. They couldn't even beat that s***ty Philly team who's leading scorer was GOAT candidate Lou Williams. They should've at least won that series, even without Rose (and they had a 1-0 cushion). The Bulls were never built for the playoffs.
  7. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 12:49 PM) Oh bulls***. That's what the Pacers have and they took the Heat to 7 games last year and frankly look like the team to beat this year. The Bulls would have been in contention this year for the same reason they were in contention in 2010 - you have a superstar, you have great defense, you have size, and you can rebound the ball. Oh my goodness. Took the Heat to 7 games. WTF CARES!? They didn't win. That's all that matters.
  8. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 12, 2013 -> 12:35 PM) Any plan is going to look like s*** when your star misses 2.5 years. Zoom to the Bulls' FO rescue once again. And the FO will always be able to use that excuse and enough people out there will fall for it. Point is defense, rebounding and Rose was NEVER going to be enough. Just like defense, rebounding and LeBron wasn't enough in Cleveland.
  9. I still can't believe people thought this was a championship roster. Even healthy (which they never are and never will be), the depth at best is 7.5/8 - depending what you think of Hinrich. After Dunleavy, there's basically no 3-point shooting. You can't beat these specialized/advanced playoff defenses with one reliable 3-point shooter. I'm not gonna even get into all the other deficiencies. The FO built a nice little regular season juggernaut. That's it.
  10. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) They've only been truly awful for about 5 games. They need to do it for 60 more to get top-5, and they're going to have Noah and Butler for most of them unlike the last two games. That could be good for the tank the way he's playing. Lowest per since his rookie season and a pathetic ts% for a guy with no offensive game outside of 5 feet.
  11. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 02:27 PM) Elmore is 9 months younger than Beckham and in over 200 plate appearances in the major leagues has put up a .588 OPS. He also was waived by the worst team in baseball. Maybe he can stick as a versatile reserve, but why base anything on what he did in AAA? Look at Beckham's minor league numbers. I don't get your love. He doesn't even hit left handed. Nice
  12. Ptatc is one cool customer. I would've went off on that clown.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 09:37 PM) Eh, the Rudy Gay of this year and last year haven't been much better. Give Fields or Salmons the same volume of shots and they might actually be better. Except Gay is more talented than those two bums combined. Pretty sure the Kings didn't acquire him just so he could do exactly what he was doing in Toronto. They have a specific role in mind for him (stretch 4) which should at least cut down on all the inefficient 2-point shots. And he's a good enough ballhandler that he can go right by other 4's. And in Sac, he's not going to be the #1 option, which is good. Talent is talent. Look at Derrick Williams. Yeah, it's only been 6 games. But he looks MUCH improved and is being better utilized than when he was with the Wolves. Look at Monta Ellis in Dallas. Beasley with the Heat. When you have talent, all it takes sometimes is the right coaching and system. I think Gay will do well.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 9, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) True, but the Nationals don't suck big ol' donkey dick. I'm all about getting better. But not at the expense of a legitimate 24-year old superstar ace. You know the sox will f*** it up if they dealt him.
  15. f*** this team if they trade Sale. He's the best player we've drafted/had since 35. He's a top 3 pitcher in baseball, or at least the AL, going forward. You don't hear the Nationals trying to trade Strasburg. And Sale has been just as good if not better.
  16. Kobe looks rough. Nice to see him back, though. and lol@Amir Johnson. Wtf did he eat for breakfast this morning?
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 8, 2013 -> 10:08 PM) No one will ever change my mind about AJP. You can do whatever you want. I think criticizing him is almost sacriligious. OK I know that's the wrong word, he's not a religious figure. Criticizing him I think is ... ridiculous. Can't think of the right word. I praise him and applaud him as a Sox fan. I can't believe I used to defend you. You're annoying as all f***ing hell. We get it. 2005FOUREVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA AND EVA
  18. I'm semi-drunk, but I like this for the Kings. Yes, Gay's shooting has been terribly inefficient this year. But he's still young, an exceptional athlete, rebounds well for his position, and has all-defensive-type potential with his length (1.6 spg, 1.2 bpg). I don't know much about their new coach. But Cousins is having his best year and Isaiah Thomas (who'll be starting now) has been insane. Cousins/Gay/Williams/McLemore/Thomas is crazy athletic and should be fun to watch. Worse case Gay doesn't work out and they've got a fat expiring deal for next year.
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 7, 2013 -> 09:32 PM) 2-5 is pace for a 23 win season. You trade Deng and I can't the see wins being much higher than 20 Maybe if they were in the west. For the Bulls to win 20 games they'd have to go 12-52. Even at 25 wins is 17-47. That's not happening without a complete gutting. I'm just hoping for low 30s in wins and no playoffs.
  20. lol@ Hinrich and Boozer. That was some funny s***.
