QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 04:59 PM) http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_c...ew_Std_Cnf.html 6 of their 9 wins came with Rose in the lineup. Since then they are 3-11 (3-12 after tonight) with losses to the Raptors, Bucks, Magic, Jazz and Hornets (without Davis). They can't score, have zero spacing on offense, and can't finish at the rim. They're bad, bad, bad. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 03:39 PM) That was incredibly long. But seriously. It is going to be so hard to miss the playoffs this year. That dude is Caulfield on crack. Props to anybody who read that whole thing. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 05:01 AM) I never guaranteed LeBron would come to Chicago. Had I been betting, it's have been on staying in Cleveland first, Knicks second. I guaranteed he wouldn't go be Wade 's sidekick in Miami where no one gives a s***. It was a long, long time ago. So long ago that LeBron has completely matured and there's no reason to hate on him. I've avoided making fun of your declaration that the Nets were Heat killers this year, I'd think you could let that one go. Ha. Go ahead. I said they were ratchet after like 10 games. KG looks finished. Pierce looked finish until they moved him to the bench. Kirelinko has played in like 5 games. Lopez/Williams are out every other game it seems. Their defense sucks and Kidd looks as clueless as I do when I play modern video games. It sucks. I wanted to see the Heat at least challenged. I never bought the Bulls hype, obviously. And the Pacers just don't have enough firepower after George. -

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Dec 19, 2013 -> 02:10 AM) I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice this. Bron bulls his way into the lane, pushes off with his off hand to create space for a pass or an easy attempt at the rim. NEVER gets called for an obvious offensive foul. LeBron is an all time great but he gets more star calls than Shaq, Timmy D, MJ, Magic and Larry Legend combined. And if LeBron had decided to take his talents to Chicago instead of Miami (like everybody here prayed for and steve guaranteed), you'd be complaining that LeBron doesn't get enough calls, as he averages right around 7.5 ft attempts per game. Bulls fans today sound like knicks, pacers and jazz fans in the 90's and it's pathetic. Jordan got more calls than any player EVER. Magic, Bird, Reggie, hell, any player of that era testifies to this. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) LeBron didn't need the Heat to win with the way he's playing. The other guys on the Heat aren't very good. It's still the case that Lebron-led Bulls would beat Lebron-led Heat lol. You're nuts. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 08:49 PM) They should try adding Noah. Or Hinrich. Or Deng. Or Taj. Please? Ha. They really need another shot maker/creator. George by himself, especially when Wade plays like he did tonight, just isn't enough (sound familiar?) -

Pacers only up 1 game in the standings and they're going balls out every night while Miami is coasting. The talent gap is just too large. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 09:39 PM) I'm not going to crown Lillard until he gets his FG% safely above 40% -- it's .394 for now Overall fg% is less important when you're making nearly three 3's per game on 7 attempts and shoot over 90% from the line. His TS% is almost 57%. And he doesn't turn the ball over much either. Dude is a stud and I'm happy for Portland. We're going through a tough time with Rose right now. They lost Roy and Oden. -
Sox trade Addison Reed to Diamondbacks for 3b Matt Davidson

QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 06:09 PM) Been thinking a lot about this trade for two days now, and I don't think I would have made it. Reed is a very good closer, only going to get better. His ERA got too high because of 2-3 really bad outings. He took the ball and saved 40 games for a lousy team. The kid has guts and big time experience. I would have kept him. Dbacks got a good deal, IMO. Would I trade Craig Kimbrel for Matt Davidson? Hell to the f***ing no. Addison Reed? All things considered, it's a good deal. -

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 17, 2013 -> 11:36 AM) Jeff Mangurten @JeffGurt 17m Over the last 10 days the Bulls have shot 46% from inside of 5-feet, nearly 5% lower than any other NBA team in that span. Good god that's awful. I could see if you were going up against Roy Hibbert 5 times a week. -

Jesus@Joe Johnson. Dude went ape in the third quarter against Philly (7 3's). Philly is terrible by the way. I think they're worse than the Jazz. That first couple weeks was just that. Though not having MCW for 11 games (1-10) after tonight hasn't helped. If Philly ends up with Wiggins, wow. Wiggins at the 3, MCW at the 1 and Noel at the 5 is enough freakish length and athleticism for five teams. -

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 16, 2013 -> 02:56 PM) No, it's not. Cousins isn't getting injured every other day despite having a much larger frame. Dwight, minus about a year is the same. If I could trade Noah for Embiid right now, I'd do it. Because Embiid, at this stage, is more advanced than Noah. Noah doesn't do anything special. Joakim's mother would trade her son for Embiid. Dude is a genetic marvel. I can't believe he's only been ballin' for three years. Most draft sites I've seen don't have him going any lower than 4th at the moment. -

Jeff Hornacek is my early season pick for COY. I don't know how that team, that was supposed to be top 5 bad, is doing what they're doing in that conference. I didn't think that two pg lineup stuff was going to work out at all. Random thought: Is it me, or are the Thunder a better team than they were in '12? Ibaka is clearly better and they made the right call in extending him instead of Harden. And while there's no Harden on their bench, there's more depth in Jackson, Adams and Lamb. I don't know if they can win it all. But as far as regular season goes, they need Harden about as much as 2k5 needs a post-count boost. -

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 14, 2013 -> 09:46 PM) Supposedly he and Kyrie got into a fight. This team is bad. Pray for one of Jabari/Wiggins/Exum to join Rose, Noah, Mirotic and Jimmy in the starting line next year. I guess there's always the "let's kiss Kyrie's ass at all costs so he doesn't LeBron us" factor. Still, they would have to believe that they could resign Deng AND that they could be competitive with him to part with Waiters. At least that's what you'd think. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 14, 2013 -> 09:23 PM) I've been out for a week...has anyone come up with a reasonable idea of a Deng for useless expiring guy + a draft pick that makes sense? Haven't seen much at any hoops sites (that's not paid subscriber only) outside of the Deng to Cleveland for Waiters+ rumor a couple weeks back. Don't see why Cleveland would do it. It's not like they're a Luol Deng away from winning anything and Waiters is still a talented young asset. Then again, they drafted Anthony Bennett #1.
