  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 9, 2013 -> 06:00 PM) The Barclays center is unf***inbelievable. Wow. It's a great atmosphere. Pacers 7-0 now. Oh, and welcome to the NBA Evan Turner. About f***in' time.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 9, 2013 -> 08:52 PM) Since the catch-all was martyred, guess I will add this here. Beckham got married tonight, so Slayer is officially gone. Usually seems to have a negative effect on players, but we shall see. So Beckham could become even more horrible than he already is?
  3. Real talk. Can the Jimmy Butler fanbase school me on what he does offensively that's above average? I just don't see it. Defensively? Yes. He's a potential stud. Offensively? No.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 08:57 PM) This Jazz roster is something else. I've had about 7 beers. So I thought I was just buzzed when I saw that Jamal Tinsley is still in the league. But yes, Jamal Tinsley is still in the league. Anyway, good win. No matter how NBDLish the Jazz are. These are the teams you crush.
  5. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 10:56 AM) Trade Deng so you can afford Samuel Dalembert? No, you trade Deng for upgrades elsewhere (shooting) and then you could better utilize your exceptions. Butler makes Deng irrelevant because they're the same player.
  6. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 10:17 AM) he signed a 2-yr 7.5 mill contract, we had league min to offer after Dunleavy. For as bad as we are at 3pt shooting we needed Dunleavy more than 4th big. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Excuses, excuses. Now we can't even afford a backup big. Trade Deng's crusty ass if you have to. Nazr Mohammed as your back-up C is pathetic.
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 09:09 AM) Right but we knew that was coming. Therewas no money for one and even the bigs I thought could be available signed for way more. Funny seeing people advocate for trading for asik before the one year that would have killed us if we matched. I guess that contract proved it absolutely was moveable. Samuel Dalembert was out there.
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Nov 7, 2013 -> 11:11 PM) Every time I watch James Harden play it makes me sad as a basketball fan that we didn't get to see 10 years of Westbrook, Harden and Durant teaming up. They legitimately could have had a 90s Bulls type run. The downside of hitting three consecutive (4 when you consider where Ibaka was drafted) home runs in the draft in a small market. And there's just no way Harden would've blossomed into more than a super elite 6th man behind Durant/Westbrook. When I think of tragic what ifs I think of Portland (Oden/Roy) and Houston (T-mac/Yao). Either could've won multiple championships. Sucks when the body betrays you.
  9. Way too much fluff around these parts. This team is second round fodder without at least one legitimate upgrade. Of course they're not as bad as they've been the first 4 games. They'll start feasting on crap starting with the Jazz tomorrow. It's about April/May/June. This is a flawed, unbalanced roster who now have three teams (instead of just one) that are more talented than them.
  10. They lose to the hilariously bad Jazz on Friday and that's a Chicago Bulls season.
  11. Hibbert apparently wants to wrap up DPOY in November. Dude's blocking shots everywhere.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 08:18 PM) There's more of it there than when they went 62-20 and 50-16 in back to back seasons Yeah, but the east is better now. The Nets and Pacers have more weapons than the Bulls.
  13. Bulls need to make a trade. There's just not enough offensive talent here.
  14. A 7-game series with these two would be god awful to watch.
  15. Been paying so much attention to the West that I didn't realize how good Paul George and the Pacers have been. PG looks like he's about to make the leap to superstar. Which means the Bulls will no longer have that advantage (assuming Rose gets back to MVP form). Hibbert is blocking every shot in sight. They've got more depth. Granger is a luxury at this point.
  16. Speaking of Anthony Bennett, he still has yet to record ONE basket this season. Not one. That's crazy.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) You catch the Warriors tonight? They probably would have put up 140 if they didn't pull everyone with like 3 minutes left in the 3rd. Some of it. It was Iguodala's turn to go HAM from 3 tonight.
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 4, 2013 -> 10:50 PM) The Clippers had an ok 1st half. I was going to post something but I figured everybody was watching the Bears. It's early, but I've never seen Chris Paul play like this.
  19. QUOTE (ron883 @ Oct 31, 2013 -> 02:44 PM) Way to ignore the post about the numerous choke jobs AJ has been a part of. didn't expect you to respond to that. he is also supposed to be an unlikable jackass. i guess thats TWTW. lol. I wish CWS hadn't said what he said about greg and ron being the same guy. I wonder. 1 syllable name followed by 3 numbers.
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 2, 2013 -> 11:11 PM) League pass is worth it just to watch the Warriors play. Most explosive backcourt in the game. Either one of them can go off for, like, 8 3's in any game. I hope Bogut can stay healthy. He's an elite rim protector and good rebounder when he is. They'll be even better when Barnes gets back. Very nice team.
  21. Anthony Davis with a decent line: 25 Pts, 8 Reb, 4 Ast, 6 Stl, 6 Blk
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Nov 2, 2013 -> 07:39 PM) Can't remember if it was the Raps or Grizz (both awful expansion teams). But one of them beat the '96 Bulls. It happens. These wins don't impress me anymore. We know the Bulls can dance all over bad eastern conference teams. The game next Wednesday (at Indiana) will be another legit test. Whoops.
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 2, 2013 -> 07:26 PM) How the Hell did this team beat the Heat? Can't remember if it was the Raps or Grizz (both awful expansion teams). But one of them beat the '96 Bulls. It happens. These wins don't impress me anymore. We know the Bulls can dance all over bad eastern conference teams. The game next Wednesday (at Indiana) will be another legit test.
  24. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Nov 1, 2013 -> 03:50 PM) Roughly, for reference: fWAR = Sacrifice completeness for the sake of accuracy bWAR = Sacrifice accuracy for the sake of completeness QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Nov 1, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) Yes. It's really only in pitching where you will see such varied results too. There's a comic somewhere in the universe plotting both ERA and FIP where ERA is full of peaks and valleys and is otherwise an ugly, sloppy mess where FIP is basically a level line throughout. You can see if in Vazquez's time with the Sox too 2006 - 4.9 fWAR, 2.7 bWAR 2007 - 5.0 fWAR, 6.1 bWAR 2008 - 4.9 fWAR, 3.1 bWAR Silence you statniks...
