QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 29, 2013 -> 08:39 AM) Were you drunk, high, or both when you posted this J4L? No, sir. I had the Heat taking the east about a month ago. But I'm warming up to the idea of 4 consecutive trips to the finals being damn near impossible (though if Mike hadn't retired 43 times the Bulls would've done it). The Bulls and Pacers are boring. 0-4 during the big three era. They're comin' with the same s***. Not gonna work. The Nets are a totally different animal. Kidd's just got to get them to April. Easier said than done. But if he does, that team is going to be a playoff terror. -
QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Oct 28, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) I do NOT want him to be 66. Anything but that! How about 17? Splits the difference between the 2 other Cubans. 10, 17, 24 Seriously though, how about 13? Just to see the Ozzie rants. My formal guess is going to be 40. You mean rant. Only one person would care.

Ladies and Gents, the NBA season has just about arrived. May 2014 continue to be as kind to us as every year since 2006 in this new golden age of analytics, advanced defenses, small ball, offensive spacing and 3pt shooting as at the end of the year we will welcome what many are saying is the greatest crop of draft prospects we've ever seen. Eastern conference regular season standings: 1: Heat 2: Bulls 3: Pacers (had the Pacers at 2 until Granger's latest set back) 4: Nets 5: Knicks 6: Wizards 7: Pistons 8: Cavs (would have them 5th with a healthy Bynum. But that never happens) First round: (1) Heat over (8) Cavs (2) Bulls over (7) Pistons (3) Pacers over (6) Wizards (4) Nets over (5) Knicks Conference semis: (4) Nets over (1) Heat (2) Bulls over (3) Pacers Conference finals: (4) Nets over (2) Bulls Western conference regular season standings: 1: Clippers 2: Thunder 3: Rockets 4: Spurs 5: Warriors 6: Grizzlies 7: Mavs 8: Timberwolves First round: (1) Clippers over (8) Timberwolves (2) Thunder over (7) Mavs (3) Rockets over (6) Grizzlies (5) Warriors over (4) Spurs Conference semis: (1) Clippers over (5) Warriors (3) Rockets over (2) Thunder Conference finals: (1) Clippers over (3) Rockets NBA finals: Clippers over Nets (series MVP - Paul) Individual awards: MVP: LeBron ROY: Victor Oladipo DPOY: Dwight 6th man: Harrison Barnes Most improved: Super tough here. But I'll go with 'Brow over Drummond/Favors Coach: Jason Kidd -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 28, 2013 -> 05:01 PM) Yay. Eminor gives Greg a vote of confidence of sorts a few days before Halloween. J4L says stop talking in third person. -

QUOTE (Lillian @ Oct 27, 2013 -> 08:41 PM) Once again, I wish we could come up with a middle of the order left handed bat. Bryant is another right handed hitter. What a strange circumstance, in which the Sox find themselves; too many lefties in the starting rotation, and no left handed hitters in sight. The only potential impact, left handed bat appears to be Barnum, if he flops, where will they find one?

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Oct 26, 2013 -> 04:48 PM) Nah, don't be an iamshack. Oh snap.

Damn shame I still can't spell Pierzynski without looking it up.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 24, 2013 -> 03:13 PM) He basically revolutionized big-game baseball, or should have revolutionized it, in his letting the starters do their thing so deep into games the whole way. Aside from that, he engineered a program that allowed his players to believe they could beat all those good AL teams en route to the Big Dance where we took care of a good but not great Houston club. He put a team on the field golden with the glove that amazed me with its efficient, professional, incredible baseball. That kind of a run thru the postseason??? Remarkable. It's belief, baby!! Shame on 2k5 for creating this thread. You knew what was gonna happen. -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 22, 2013 -> 12:59 PM) I think he probably wants whatever flavor candy he can get, at any time he wants it Which is what he should be doing. I don't know why these dumbasses get married. They all end up cheating anyway. -
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Oct 20, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) Young, Soto,Uribe are all right-handed . The Sox need more lefties. I think any moves you see will be for lefties . There's just too many good righthanded pitchers in our division and it has to be adressed in the form of acquiring lefties who hit RH pitching well. Lillian just cummed.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 20, 2013 -> 04:53 PM) Welcome to the club, I think there's 3 of us there now! And all three of you don't get to say a thing when they don't win it. According to y'all, the Bulls' front office has put together a legitimate championship roster (laughing real hard). -

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 19, 2013 -> 11:44 PM) And I'm comfortable saying, the entire Bulls team has a better chance of staying completely healthy, than LeBron suffering a season ending injury. And I'd take an injured LeBron over any healthy player on our team outside of Rose. That injury would have to be REALLY bad. Somethin' like a back injury '98 Pippen style. 85% of LeBron is still better than Rose. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:49 PM) You really don't follow the Bulls anymore. The Heat are 9-0 against the east since the Decision. They've taken down the #1 defensive team ('11 Bulls, '12 Celtics, '13 Pacers) the last three years. These big/physical defensive-centric teams don't bother them. The only difference between the Bulls of '11 and the current team (aside from this year's bench being weaker) is a roleplayer who put up decent stats only because he was literally playing the whole game. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 11:13 PM) LeBron has won 0 titles in playoffs in which Derrick Rose played more than 3+ quarters LeBron already treated Rose in '11. It's three years later and the same guys are just older, horrible (Boozer) and injured. The Bulls/Pacers formula just does not work. That's why it's the Nets or bust. -

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) Derrick is unstoppable. He hit 4 threes and had a ton of dimes and went through Roy Hibbert like 6 times tonight. 32 points and 9 dimes in 31 minutes. The only thing that will stop this team from getting to the conference finals is health. Fixed. As long as this man is alive that's as far as they'll go. -
