  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 14, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) WTF is the point of this post? I'm tellin' you, dude. He's a bot. He's not a real person.
  2. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Jul 12, 2013 -> 04:58 PM) And he caught him? in a chase? you guys are really soft in here if you believe this tub of goo caught a 17 yr kid. Please someone answer WHy didn't Martin just go home? I've chosen to stay out of this abortion of a thread. But GTFO of here. Just because he's mexican Sherman Klump now doesn't mean he wasn't a healthy, in shape, well-built guy on the night this took place. I don't know what's happened here. I realize the stress he's under. But I thought being stressed out made you lose weight. This dude's packed on like 100 pounds.
  3. Monta Ellis to Dallas - 3/30 That's more than reasonable. That's pretty much it as far as FA goes.
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 12, 2013 -> 10:57 AM) This. Parker had his way with Lebron during the Finals because his teammates were not around the paint to help him. Rose had none of that in 2011. Yeah, this never happened. Parker couldn't do a thing outside of throwing up long, contested jumpers when LeBron was on him.
  5. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jul 12, 2013 -> 09:17 AM) Means nothing? To you, yes, because you take evidence with a grain of salt and rely on what you think is right. I'll stick to my video evidence and you can stick to a quote And it's not like I'm calling Lebron a bad defender or something. I'm just saying that people thinking he shut down Rose by himself are way, way off. A quote by the player in question himself? Did LeBron pay Derrick to say it's difficult when a 6'8 guy can easily guard you?
  6. QUOTE (Boogua @ Jul 12, 2013 -> 07:42 AM) Yeah, the Heat do give Rose a lot of problems with their collapsing D, but hopefully Butler can help with that. He seems like a much better scorer than Bogans was. No, LeBron's freakish size and athleticism gives Rose a lot of problems. Rose already testified to this. You searching youtube for one or 2 instances in which Rose got by LeBron means nothing. Overall, LeBron is Rose's daddy.
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 07:43 PM) Also, I'm actually in favor of trying to get Melo if you couldn't get Love. But you see, Melo wouldn't make us the favorite. 2000 Shaq? That makes us the favorite. If anything, LeBron can only cover one of Rose/Melo. Because he owns both.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 03:08 PM) That's the exact same bloody question. You just admitted that it's not reasonable to expect the Bulls to beat the heat given any move they could make and it would be a major upset if they did so, but they should be making moves because you say so! Every single line of logic winds up saying "Trade off everyone, tank, and either hope for Lebron signing there or hitting the next Lebron in the draft 5 years from now". You guys need to make up your minds. Haven't you and everybody else just about put an asterisk next to the Heat's title because they needed two game 7's to win it? You obviously think they can be beat. Deng for Durant doesn't make the Bulls the favorite? What!!!! Let vegas worried about the favorites and odds and whatever.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 02:56 PM) Same basic deal. If the Bulls traded Boozer and Deng for Garnett, Pierce, and Terry (and sacrificed the pick/mirotic), does anyone honestly think they go into a playoff series with the Heat as obvious favorites? Even if they have home court advantage? I don't at all. What is it with this "favorites" stuff? Who gives a s*** that the Heat would be favored. What are you doing to put yourself in better position to beat the Heat is what's it about. The Bulls, as is, or as they have been under Thibs, cannot beat the Heat. Rose being hurt is irrelevant. Asking Rose to take this cast and beat LeBron/Wade/Bosh is as silly as asking Patrick Ewing to beat Michael/Scottie with John Starks and Charles Smith. We got stars changing teams every 15 minutes. Teams making moves to get better every 15 minutes. And yet the Bulls, who only sport one star, are over the cap and/or just too scared/timid to make a move.
  10. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 02:14 PM) The Lakers were great under Jerry Buss. So far they're a complete clusterf*** under his son. They're basically screwed if they don't hit a homerun in free agency in 2014. LOL at Boston. They're tanking hard this year and in the 19 years between Bird's last Finals appearance and the KG/Allen trades they only won 2 more playoffs series than the Bulls have in the last 3 years. The Miami Heat did the exact same thing the Bulls and a bunch of other teams did with 2010 free agency: clear a bunch of cap space and hope. The only difference is that they actually got them. If Lebron had decided he wanted to stay put or go to New York or god forbid come to the Bulls, the Heat would be in the exact same place the Bulls are. That's not brilliant management, that's good fortune. How can you "guarantee" anything with the Heat? They literally have three assets on that entire team. They can't trade any draft picks until 2019 because of the Steipen rule. Mario Chalmers and Norris Cole aren't getting you s***. Lebron might not even be there in 2015, and they're completely f***ed if that happens. Ha. And if not for 1.7 in 2008 the Bulls would be the Detroit Pistons. They got the gift of gifts and can't do nothing with it. We strike out in FA and then throw $75 million at Boozer. Now they're going to extend Deng, who's 28 but more like 32 when you consider the wear/tear. And then in 2 years you and Balta will be making excuses about how the Bulls can't add X player because we're over the cap. STOP SIGNING THESE ROLEPLAYERS TO RIDICULOUS CONTRACTS. Let somebody else be stupid.
  11. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 01:30 PM) What the f*** do you expect them to do exactly? There's literally no move they can make that would make them the prohibitive favorite in the East. Even if they could trade Deng for Durant straight up, a lot of people would still pick Miami (keep in mind OKC isn't even the unanimous favorite in the West with Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka). Adding Monta Ellis or trading two starters for LaMarcus Aldridge isn't going to change that. You seem to want them to make moves just to make moves. This isn't the 2005 team where they couldn't get Kobe, KG or Pau because they didn't want to mess with a 45 win team. The rumored deals you're b****ing about aren't even for top-tier stars like those guys are. Get outta here. The Bulls fanbase has become almost as boring as the front office. 1 conference final in 15 years. Stop with your excuses. Anytime a player comes up "Can he play for Thibs?" "Can he shoot?" "Can he play defense?" - Boston, LA, Miami make s*** happen even when it's not supposed to. Steve already covered that. The Miami Heat are the premier organization in basketball. You think Riley and Mickey whatever his name is are gonna sit around and wait for Wade's knees to give out? I guarantee you they're already planning/scheming. They've got the second best player of all-time and they're not going to waste his talent. The Bulls? Noah is untouchable. Deng is untouchable. We don't want to trade Taj. I've never seen a franchise more obsessed with roleplayers in my life. The Bobcats pick. Nitroli or whatever his name is, can't trade him, he's the next dirk. This is how a wannbe franchise operates.
  12. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 01:05 PM) The only reason they didn't win 60 two years in a row is that there was a lockout. They're at least a 50-50 shot to make the Conference Finals. There's 25 or more teams that would trade places with the Bulls. BFD, so the Lakers get Melo. They're going to have Nash, Melo and basically nothing else. They MIGHT have Kobe, they pretty much have to renounce his Bird rights or get him to agree to a massive paycut to have any kind of cap space. The same goes for Gasol. That team is not a lock to be better than the current Knicks. The reason they might have cap space is because there's absolutely nothing on that roster. Well golly gee. 50-50 to get to the conference finals? Yayyyyy!!! What was I thinking? #strivetobethe90sknicks
  13. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 11:47 AM) Yes, winning 60-ish games is SOOO terrible. They're going to have nowhere near enough cap room for Melo. You have to remember that he can get north of $20 million. Rose, Melo and Noah alone is almost over the cap if Melo gets everything he can. They won 60 games once. Who cares. Give them a banner along with LeBron's Cavs. Yeah, I get it. Whenever a star is possibly available we're never in the running because of XYZ. Yawn. The Lakers probably end up with him and more anyway.
  14. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 11, 2013 -> 10:14 AM) If he wants to win a title, he just might. Carmelo has been reportedly b****ing all off-season about the Knicks bringing in another star to take the load off of him (lol@bargnani). But let me stop. I forgot. We're the Bulls. Third largest market in the country. Nothing ever makes sense. Can't mess with the core. #goBlackhawks!
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 10:27 PM) If Thibs really loves Lu, so you defer to his judgment? I don't get it? The Bulls are just boring and terrible. Luol Deng is an old 28. You lock him up now then he becomes impossible to move. Carmelo can become a FA after next year. A franchise with vision would be focusing on him.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 09:19 PM) Don't think they'll stay healthy, but if they do, that's a pretty good starting 5. It would serve them best to be bad again and get a shot at Wiggins. Could you imagine that s***? LeBron would definitely go back. Irving/Wiggins/LeBron=game over. Or trade Irving for the sickest package in nba history.
  17. Andrew Bynum to the Cavs. 2/24.5 - I read only 6 million of that is guaranteed. Minimal risk for Cleveland. Cavs with a team option for 2015. So basically no risk for them. I see now that the 6 million guaranteed money is for only 2015. There's a s***load of incentives overall. In other words, he's not getting paid bank to ride the bench.
  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 01:27 PM) 1) This really isn't the case. He averaged 16-10 in 2012 regular season. Postseason? 16-10. 2) Every player plays less than 48 minutes, and Noah was routinely pulled in crunchtime in 2011. 3) This is the crap I'm talking about. He really improved this year and has worked pretty well with Noah offensively, something that has gotten better every year. This criticism largely comes from year 1 where he wasn't really worked correctly into the offense. Yeah, ask Jazz fans about his play against the Lakers in the playoffs from '08 to '10. Hint: it's not pretty. And let's not forget about Boozer's 1/11 in game 6 against philly in '12. He's just not that good.
  19. I'd rather watch a One Direction doc.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 09:52 AM) And "They should get something done even though every deal on the table makes no sense rabble rabble rabble" is the criticism I hate the most. And like I've said, be satisfied being the 90's Pacers with the modern day George Karl as your head coach. Because apparently no deal has made since for the Bulls for 6 years now.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 09:38 AM) You'd actually give up Gibson for Ellis? I don't know what exact deals were on the table. But failing to get something done because "they didn't want to mess with the core" has been the auto-excuse since 2007.
  22. lol. Typical Chicago Bulls. lmao. I knew this would be the thinking. What vision! Oh well. I guess we can keep poppin' in the old 90's VHS tapes while LeBron gobbles up every ring in site.
  23. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 12:35 AM) Or people can actually discuss the merits of the player/deal in question instead of just b****ing that they're not making moves. If all we want is moves, why don't we make Kenny Williams the GM? It's not like they're the Bobcats, they're highly competitive. A smart organization always tries to get better, but they also don't jump on the first deal that comes along just because it's there. It's not like we're talking about Durant or Harden. Making moves to make moves? The only moves this team has made in the last 10 years is trading for Jalen Rose and signing a broken down Ben Wallace and inept Carlos Boozer. The Mike Fratello Cavs were highly competitive. Who cares. And we couldn't get Durant or Harden even if they were available (well, Harden actually was).
  24. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 10, 2013 -> 12:23 AM) Fixed it for you. Or LaMarcus Aldridge, or Kevin Garnett, or Kobe Bryant, or Pau Gasol or 2000 FA or 2010 FA. I'm getting sleepy just thinking about the Bulls post-98. This is a terrible organization that lucked into the lotto one year and is too incompetent to take advantage. #butweplayhard
