  1. Just when other teams thought it was safe to build their dynasties.......
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 10:12 AM) It is November. If he is hurt at all, sit out. Hell he hasn't had a problem with it in the past when the games actually mattered... Yeah, I get it. Precaution. I don't know. I think I been watchin' too much Warriors and Clippers. Not lookin' forward to the Roseless Bulls and Raptors (barf).
  3. Meh. It wouldn't annoy me as much if the Bulls hadn't had 3 days off. Rose needs to play, play and play some more for him to get back to where he was. But whatever.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 15, 2013 -> 12:21 AM) Holy f***kkk lol. What a f***in' game.
  5. Warriors putting on another show from deep. These western conference teams are just too fun to watch.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 09:51 PM) This is a definite "we're making other moves and plan on contending in 2014" move to me. Also, can we just make a Catch-er All thread? We've got separate ones on McCann, Wieters, Castro, Salty, Jaso and that's not including Rosario and a few others. No. That sucked. I like it the way it is now. Like Wieters for example. I can just go straight to that thread (and I have been) and know it's going to be all about him. With catch all I'd have to gloss/skip over countless posts that have nothing to do with what I'm looking for (Wieters in this case).
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) I don't think Philly's GM is furious. They'll still be fine and low. It's only 9 games in. Remember...2 years ago? WHen people thought bobcats coach could be coach of year after their hot start? I'm sure they are more than happy to have nailed MCW. It's not like Boston is going according to plan either. They just need to get low enough to be in the race, and then have a bunch get "injuries" in second half. They can be bad and still torpedo their draft position. Remember the '03 Bulls? They were winning 15-20 games a year and then suddenly "improved" to 30 wins and instead of LeBron, Carmelo or Wade they end up with Hinrich.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 14, 2013 -> 08:42 AM) I'm feeling pretty good about 76ers now that they only have to go 13-60 rest of the way for me to go to richtown. No MCW? No problem. James Anderson, who's averaging just over 4 ppg for his career, drops 36 points on 16 shots (including 6 3's). Crazy s***. Their front office has to be furious right now. This was not the plan at all.
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 13, 2013 -> 10:25 PM) Dear lord Anthony Davis. Damn shame the NBA did away with the territorial pick forever ago. We'd be rocking Rose - Parker - Davis next year. He'd be a legit mvp candidate on a better team. Hopefully Eric Gordon stays healthy and gets back to where he was in '11 when it looked like he was going to be the best non Kobe/Wade sg in the game (Harden obviously hadn't broken out yet).
  10. Where's Felix? The Timberwolves are must-see tv. 108 points through 3 quarters vs the Cavs.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 13, 2013 -> 08:48 AM) So. I have League Pass. I was watching the Heat yesterday. This might seem silly, but Michael Beasley might be learning a thing or two from the King. He looked like he cared yesterday. He ran back on a fast break and blocked a shot! I'm not going to say "watch out for Michael Beasley", but from what I saw yesterday... this could wind up annoying in a year or two. He's been instant offense whenever he's been on the court.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 12, 2013 -> 08:41 PM) Randle is impressive. And Kentucky will be scary in March. College is a waste of time for this dude. He's NBA ready NOW. PF is going to be the most stacked it's ever been.
  13. Will the Spurs ever not be good? They blitzed Philly in Philly tonight after waxin' the s*** out of the Knicks in NY yesterday. 7-1. They just won't go away. EVER.
  14. Rose's D was sick tonight. Shadowed Irving big time. I counted 2 baskets that Kyrie scored on Rose. The rest was on Kirk.
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 11, 2013 -> 11:51 AM) It is my hope they do bring AJ back. He is a motivator and a pro. Plus he is the LH bat. He can also bring along Phegley and Flowers, even though I am not sure if they will be of the caliber starting catcher we expect. I think we made a mistake in not keeping AJ last year. People might say the money wasn't there, but this year it should be. Now will management admit they were wrong in letting him walk and/or will AJ want to return? barf
  16. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 10, 2013 -> 11:40 PM) Your right.. he could be bigger with more athleticism. Who knows. These players these days are just crazy athletic/built. Can't imagine if you add another 10/20/30 years into the equation with better well.. everything (medicines, weight/workouts, overall technology etc.) Bigger than LeBron and you're talkin' 275-280? I just can't see that ever happening. Then again, I never could've envisioned LeBron back in 1996. So you have a point.
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Nov 10, 2013 -> 11:27 PM) We'll see a Magic 2.0 again (when were probably the age of YASNY/Tex/BigEdWalsh), just maybe not one built the size of a tank as well though. Then he can't be LeBron.
  18. It just hit me. Unless something that sucks happens, tomorrow night will be the first Rose vs Kyrie showdown. One or the other has always been hurt or waiting until they were 110%. That's crazy.
  19. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Nov 10, 2013 -> 10:15 PM) Davis and Love are legit. Cousins is absurdly talented but an inconsistent headcase. The rest are basically the same guys they were last year when we were all uninspired by the bigs around the league. Maybe it's time to lower your standards. Shaq's and Hakeem's don't grow on trees. Just like when Dirk, LeBron and Durant are done, we won't see their likes for a while (well, we won't see a LeBron ever again).
  20. Suns are 5-2 now. Between them and Philly, I think we can put the tanking s*** to bed. That s*** was lame.
  21. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Nov 10, 2013 -> 02:01 AM) If I was going to pick one of out that group as well Jordan, it'd be Anthony Davis. He's already putting up insane stat lines. You just hope his body will hold up over time. I agree totally. Davis is one of those once every 10-15 years types. He's Kevin Garnett with more shot-blocking capability. After that I'd go Love. He's single-handedly restored my faith in american-born white players. Dude is putting up early 90's Charles Barkley numbers. And I don't see any reason why he can't do it for a full season (other than health). Then the next guy would be Drummond. I think he'll be a much bigger/athletic version of 2001-2006 Ben Wallace when he hits his peak. Plus he's banging the white girl from Icarly.
  22. Jesus, the bigs in the west are dominating right now. Love, Griffin, Davis, Aldridge and Cousins are all going HAM. Dwight is Dwight. s***, even DeAndre Jordan is beastin (like he should be with his size and hops) on the boards. The east has even improved. Monroe, Milsap and Vucevic are off to great starts. Al Horford is goin' crazy. Brook Lopez (yeah, he still won't rebound) but the things he does do well he does really well. Roy Hibbert will have blocked 6 more shots before I finish this post. Andre Drummond has DPOY potential. Probably some others I'm forgetting. The big men depth is looking the best it has in years.
