  1. Man, I used to like the Indians. But they're making it really hard. They're acting like a bunch of little b****es. We won it! Get the f*** over it. We were better last year. Let it go.
  2. I knew "crash" would be there.
  3. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 12:41 PM) Let Buehrle go and have BMac take his spot. I don't care about not having a LHP in the rotation. Nitetrain, admit it, you made this comment just to get a rise out of everyone.
  4. This scout obviously paid no attention to Brian the last 2-3 weeks of spring training.
  5. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 02:00 AM) That was a fun game, tears were in my eyes watching that banner drop in person. 1. Thome is a beast, but more importantly he is a leader. He was embraced while walking off the field after the victory by all the players. 2. BMAC is in the right position, long reliever. I think kW learned alot from the astros last year, and their pen is full of this type. 3. Scott Thornton actually has some good stuff, cuidado senores. 4. the tribe has no bullpen. 5. BA is going to be so much fun to watch grow up. I have to disagree with 3 and 4. First of all, who's Scott Thornton? Second, the Indians' bullpen is nowhere near as bad as it was tonight. Graves sucks. That's been a given for about 4 years now. But Cabrera, Betancourt, Miller, Sauerback, Mota and Wickman is a solid pen. However, the one thing they do seem to lack is a quality long reliever. Somebody like that McCarthy guy.
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:32 AM) I just walked in about 10 min ago. Great game. Thome was worth it by himself. Man, they're rippin' Thome to shreds over at that Tribe board you told me about. They're quite bitter.
  7. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) That is clearly evident by the Sox 9 walks. When was the last time they did that as a team in only 8 innings? That certainly never happned last year.
  8. I also think having Thome around eliminates any chance (even a small one) that this team ever gets complacent. Thome wants a ring--badly.
  9. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) Finally moved in and back on line!!! I can say that Chris Stewart, Pedro Lopez, Charles Haeger, Rogo, Tracey, Owens and Reynoso will be on the Charlotte Roster. Good to have you back, BHAM. I'll be looking forward to all the great minor league info you provide.
  10. QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 12:20 AM) The best part about Thome is that you can see him acting as almost an assistant coach in the dug-out, showing guys how to improve their stances and swings. I think he's going to help this team to be much more patient at the plate. I'm pretty damn jacked for the rest of this season. Good point. I noticed that also.
  11. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 12:12 AM) This was such a relief game: - Sox Win - Pods played - Thome hit a HR - Gooch looked great - Anderson looked great - McCarthy looked great out of the pen - Thornton pitched and didn't walk a batter But Politte, the guy that everybody thinks is gonna have an era of around 8, gave up a run tonight.
  12. May this be the first of many. Thome Gooch Anderson Dye McCarthy Thornton
  13. QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 12:05 AM) anypne see casey blakes quotes on our ring ceromony? http://www.ohio.com/mld/beaconjournal/14248607.htm what a tool :headshake LOL. What a moron? When else are they supposed to have it?
  14. And that's a White Sox winner!
  15. Nice recovery by Thornton. I'd rather see him give up a single than a walk.
  16. Boone Logan about to come in.
  17. I thought that one was gone.
  18. Has the Politte hate started?
  19. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:33 PM) Man. Iguchi has hit the ball hard. Looks nothing like ST. Well, the beginning anyway. Yup..Very encouraging. I guess Ozzie won't have to bench him now.
  20. Gooch has swung the bat very well tonight.
  21. LOL. Why are they booing? That wasn't even close to being intentional.
  22. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) If you're a White Sox fan, and you still hate this guy, I feel for you. There is just like no possible way to not love this guy. Is it even possible to hate a guy like Thome?
  23. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) what? bmac would be replacing contreras, and if we traded contreras which we wont we would most likely get a pitcher possibly bullpen but lets not worry about this I meant who would take Bmac's place in the 'pen?
  24. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 11:25 PM) It is definitely this year. He's wouldn't be going anywhere anyway. He could be our best pitcher this year. No reason to break up the depth this year, especially if Bmac can be a good bullpen option. I think it's safe to say somebody will get traded next year, but I bet it's not Contreras. I think after this eyar we will say that 9 mil a year is a BARGAIN. I think C.C. Sabathia just showed us how important pitching depth is.
