Busted for sure this time... ?
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) No matter what comes out, I still refuse to accept this statement...if a guy is willing to cheat in 1998, why should I assume he wasn't willing to cheat before that? Maybe the Sosa/McGwire phenomenon of 1998 triggered it?

Busted for sure this time... ?
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 04:55 PM) Check out this photo timeline of Bonds: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedi....1.exclude.html It's pretty obvious. I really don't need evidence when my own eyes tell me the truth. I could get that big if I wanted to.

Busted for sure this time... ?
QUOTE(WCSox @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) It's a shame that Barry even began using. He was a lock for Cooperstown prior to that. That, to me, is the difference between Bonds and somebody like Sammy Sosa. I think Sosa literally needed to cheat to be good. Bonds was already good. It's a shame that his career will be forever tarnished. And I know everybody hates Bonds. He's an asshole, jerk, ect. But as a true fan of the game, I think this is sad.

White Sox Make 9 Roster Moves...
No surprises here. Gload and Borchard are definitely on the team. The only question now is who of Lopez/Munoz will be the second lefty.

Guillen says Anderson is worthy of CF job
QUOTE(Wedge @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 10:11 AM) I don't give a damn about Anderson's hitting, the important question is can he come close to replacing Rowand's CF defense? That is indeed the pivotal question. I'll be more than happy if Anderson is simply able to hit around .250 with some decent pop and make all the plays in the outfield. Going by everything I've read/heard, he has a legitimate chance to be a better defensive player than Rowand. He's faster, more athletic and has a stronger throwing arm. Can he get the same jumps/reads like Rowand? That remains to be seen.

OAK vs. CHI Mar. 7th 3:05 ET
Two in a row. We're definitely back now. Anybody know why Munoz hasn't pitched in almost a week?

Second lefty update
QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 7, 2006 -> 04:18 AM) These jokers are the main reason that the Sox are 1-6 so far. The offense has a little something to do with that.

Guillen says Anderson is worthy of CF job
Sounds like Anderson can definitely replace Rowand as far as the third "stooge" goes.

QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) How Can you call yourself a true Whitesox fan if you have not seen both of the DVD's yet. They are like $12 now. We are already starting the 2006 campaign and you havent seen them? Unbelievable... JiYea!! LOL. Forgive me. I've heard from a lot of people that it wasn't much different from the World Series dvd. Which I've seen about 30 times now. But I guess I'll go buy it anyway.

Official Big Ten Tourney Thread
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) There you go! Much better. An opinion offered with nothing added that can easily be picked apart. You're learning. I'm tryin. My bad if I made it sound like there was no way either could beat OSU. You never know what can happen in this conference.

Official Big Ten Tourney Thread
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) And OSU beat both Wisconsin and Indiana AT HOME. I'm not disputing that OSU has proven they are the best team of the three, but your point as you make it means nothing. You may think OSU will beat both of them, but to act as if neither could, and that the previous wins by Indiana and Wisky are meaningless, is pretty narrow-minded. Let's try this again. Despite Indiana and Wisconsin beating OSU one a piece during the regular season, I don't think either team can beat OSU come tourney time. Is that better?

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) Ummmm..... They BOTH already have beaten OSU. Thanks for that bit of info. I already knew that. Indiana beat them AT HOME by all of two points. Wisconsin beat them AT HOME by all of 5 points. I don't think either can beat OSU in the tourney.

Kirby Puckett has died.
Very sad news indeed. I don't really know what kinda person/man Kirby was, but he was a hell of a ballplayer. I still remember like it was yesterday the game winning hr he hit in game 6 of the '91 World Series. I pray for him wherever he is. I also pray for his family, friends, ect.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) Alot of people didnt pick them to win the big ten regular season title either. I did. Now I expect them to continue their winning ways in the tourney. As you should. As an Illini fan, I fully expect them to win the conference tourney. I'd love to be wrong, though.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 6, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) I'm not, they haven't been playing all that well recently. They definitely have the best team in the league, but in this type of set up, the hottest team usually wins. They should have a fairly easy road to the title game. No disrespect to the Hoosiers or Badgers, I just don't think either can take OSU. It's much tougher in the other bracket. I think whoever comes out of it could be worn out. Especially when you consider the crazy scheduling. OSU should definitely be favored.
