  1. QUOTE(daa84 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 12:20 PM) not a great performance, but one of the best pictures left in my mind was brandon pitching against boston, and i want to say it was to varitek or trot nixon, and he started out changeup, curve ball, fastball, curve, change and the batter looked lost on every single pitch that was thrown. To me it was teh AB that signified that Bmac had what it takes not only to pitch in the bigs but to make big league hitters look plain silly Not a great performance? 7 2/3 shutout innings against them best offense in baseball in their home park?
  2. The refs were horrible. How is there any debate?
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) Pope+Jennings PLEASEEEEEEE I like Jennings. But he's definitely gonna have to put on some weight to excel at the pro level.
  4. Anybody think Lendale White is projecting too high in most of these mocks?
  5. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 10:33 AM) What do the Angels have in return to trade for Lee? I agree they are the most likely candidate because the A's will be pressuring them all season long. But I don't see what the Angels have that the Brew wants so maybe a 3rd team will get involved. I do think Lee will have a buyers market in FA & that will prevent him from coming back to the White Sox. They have a loaded farm system. That's always a start.
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 01:15 PM) I wonder if maybe the Tribe might trade for him at the deadline or something. They have prospects prob trade anyone besides Miller/Sowers/Marte and they should have more than enough to resign him long term. could be the Tribe's lineup mid-season Sizemore Belliard Peralta Hafner V-Mart Clee Michaels Marte Garko/Brousard Are you trying to scare me?
  7. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) Contreras' outing against Cleveland in the 1st game after the All-Star Break. Honorable Mention: His CG performance at the Cell against the Twins in September. Jacque Jones couldn't hit his forkballs to save his life. You could basically take any game pitched by Jose from the second half and argue it the best. He was that good.
  8. I thought we were talking about just starters. If we're talking performances as a whole, then yes, El Duque's was easily #1.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) Also don't forget Brandon McCarthy against Texas, right before Brandon McCarthy against Boston. Total, roughly 15 innings...SHUTOUT BALL. Not to mention him matching Johan Santana pitch for pitch for 8 innings in September.
  10. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 09:38 AM) Jon Garland against the O's at the cell. His change up to retire Miguel Tejada was one of the best pitches I have ever seen. That was when I knew that Jon Garland had finally arrived.
  11. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) .5 seconds were on the clock and Gonzaga had the ball. They inbound the ball but the clock never starts and to make matters worse, St. Mary's got called for a foul on what was a clean block and Gonzaga won the game at the FT line. What pisses me off even more is that the ref who made the call was standing 25 feet away from the play. That sucks.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) Bulls***. I'm so sick of games tainted by bad officiating. There is an epidemic of this lately. What did I miss?
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Gordon scores 35 which makes it two games in a row with 35 or more points. He's on a roll of late. Of course, he won't get any credit.
  14. This team hasn't learned a damn thing since last year. How the hell do we keep losing games like this? Talk about regression.
  15. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) Tracey=Damaso with less control. I can only go by what I've read. I know he walks a lot of guys. That's a big reason many think he would flourish in the bullpen.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 04:17 PM) Those are the 3 I want as well. Tracey needs to be on the team imo as I think he can be one hell of a reliever, Borch shortened his swing a ton last season and atleast would offer us some power off the bench which we don't have a lot of right now and baj would be perfect as the 12th pitcher. I've read a lot of stuff on Tracey. And the one thing everybody seems to agree with is that he would be money in the bullpen.
  17. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 04:13 PM) We're not going to keep two extra outfielders since we already have Mackowiak. It's either Borchard or Grieve, not both. Yeah. I took away Grieve.
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) That would give us 26 players. My bad. Take away Grieve then. I think Ozzie is gonna keep the extra pitcher.
  19. QUOTE(Drew @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) If KW can find a good lefty, he should get him, but that we only have Neal Cotts in the bullpen really does not worry me, if everyone we have is getting the job done. Well, yeah, if Kenny can find another quality lefty, that's great. I just don't see the obsession with having two lefties. If we have righties that can get lefties out, what's the problem? The Angels are a perfect example.
  20. I'm goin Borchard, Grieve, Munoz and Tracey. I would go with Gload. But Mack makes him kinda obsolete. I can't wait for spring training.
  21. Drew Gooden to the Bulls? Here's the article. http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives..._a_gooden_deal/
  22. Ain't happenin.
  23. I agree with what A.J. said. Everybody wants specialists. If a righty can get lefties out, there shouldn't be a problem.
  24. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) Wow And this is why Kenny has no problem trading prospects.
  25. QUOTE(fathom @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) I still that the Jenks in the entire postseason was PHENOMENAL. He was a good throw by Pods away from being the WS MVP. Think about the tough saves he had to get in the postseason.....the two inning save in Game 2 vs Boston, Game 3 vs Boston where he couldn't allow a runner on base with Ortiz coming up, the Game 1 of the WS masterpiece, pitching in the extras in Game 3 of the WS, and then the clutch Game 4 of the WS save. Not bad for our top prospect, huh? Well said. If not for Rowand foolishly playing as deep as he was on Bagwell, it never even comes down to Pods weak ass throw.
