Verizon or Sprint?
I was gonna go with Verizon, but they want a $250 dollar security deposit. So they can basically kiss my ass. Sprint wins by default. Thanks for your help, guys.

Mr. Zero is headin back to Japan
Big ups to Shingo for a very fine 2004. Unfortunately, his stuff didn't translate well to the major league level. Atleast he gave it a shot.

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 11:11 PM) The whole league had the mentailty back then. There were wars out there. Now the league is full of pussies... but just because of that i don't think that bowen should blatantly trip and elbow people. Getting physical is fine... but he takes it a step farther... too far. Agreed

QUOTE(q\/\/3r+y @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 11:07 PM) I hate bruce bowen. One of the dirtiest players to ever play the game. I saw this gallery with something like 100-150 pictures of him tripping purposely. That was within only a couple year time span too. He also likes to throw elbows alot. I don't know, he is a guy i love to hate. You must have really hated the Bad Boys. They had about 5 Bowens.

Props to the Knicks for only losing by 28 tonight. I had the Mavs winning by atleast 45.

Bulls win at Clippers
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 08:18 AM) We should miss the playoffs this year. 2 lotto picks that way. The only way that would really benefit us is if our pick was in the top 6 or so. The Bulls are on pace to win atleast 35-38 games. That would most likely take us out of the running for a top 10 pick. It would be better to just make the playoffs and take our lumps. They'll benefit in the long run.

Sox on Oprah today again?
QUOTE(Drew @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 01:02 AM) Funny. While this is a great story and I am glad Ryan was recognized publicly by the White Sox, there are no words to express my gratitude to the White Sox for not including Oprah in any of the ceremonial first-pitch duties at any point during the playoff run. I really don't understand why people are so compelled to do whatever this rags-to-riches, fat-to-thin-to-fat-again diva tells them to do. And now she's giving Rachael Ray her own show. Good God. LOL. Oprah is a front-running hippo. She used to be courtside at every Bulls game during the Jordan era while knowing next to nothing about the NBA. Now she's hopped on the Sox wagon. To hell with that moose.

Borch considers Football Career
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 07:35 AM) Borchard whines throughout the entire article. I hope Williams finds a nice trade scenario and sends him to baseball purgatory in Tampa Bay. Where even there he'd be a bench-player. How can he seriously blame anyone besides himself for limited opportunities in the big-leagues? I'm not going to kiss his ass because he's a 'good guy' or past contributer to Future Sox. Bust prospects shouldn't have any face-time in newspaper columns. I was gonna say something similiar to this before I read your post.

ROTFLMAO@The Knicks. T-mac goes 2 for 19 and the Rockets still clobber them. Make that 14-35.

Bulls win at Clippers
I would get excited, but will probably lose our next 3.

Sox well positioned to repeat article
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 05:57 PM) This team could well be a 100 win team if even if everything doesn't go well....just as long as things don't go TOO badly. If everything goes well, this team could run away and win 105+. True. The only thing I'm really worried about is if all the pitchers who had career years last year can do it again in 06. If they do, anything short of devestating injuries, and we should most definitely win 100 games.

Verizon or Sprint?
My contract with s***-mobile is up next week. God they're horrible. Anyway, I've narrowed my choices down to Verizon and Sprint. Can anbody with either of these carriers, or maybe somebody that's had both, give me any helpful information?

In need of some prayer
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 10, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) I probably wouldn't do this but I really need some prayer today. My grandmother is in critical condition with blood clotting around the lungs and we don't know if she will be able to make it. We are hoping that the worst has passed and that she will be able to overcome the situation but not all the terms of the sickness are known as of now. If the clotting goes to the heart or brain, the chances of her surviving are slim. If I could politely ask for you to keep her in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I know what you're going through, bro. I went through a simliar situation as yours about 12 years ago. Unfortunately, my grandma passed away. But she's always with me. She helps me in many ways that people alive can't. I pray your grandma pulls through.

**2005-06 High School Basketball thread**
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 05:45 PM) Now that I think about it, Carlwell will fight right in with the Illini. Talented big man who doesn't get any love because his guards are too busy taking bad shots. Unfortunately, you're right.

Bagwell's shoulder stronger than it was?
QUOTE(Adam G @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) Which is exactly what you'd expect his agent to say. The Astros clearly disagree. ^^^

Sox well positioned to repeat article
Pretty good article. Just states what everybody already knew. If all goes well, this is a 100 win team.

Props to OSU for the win today. The Illini simply aren't real good at the moment. We rely too much on jumpshots. Big Ten title will probably come down to Iowa and OSU.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 05:21 PM) D Wade pretty much beats Detroit by himself, scoring 17 in a row (including the winner with 2 seconds left) to end the game and bring Miami back from down 13 after 3 to a 100-98 win. That was a "Jordanesque" like performance.

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) If they clean house altogether (Rupp/Marsh), Ben Allen would leave too. Greasy, what's wrong with Indiana? They're very dissapointing right now. Not that it hurts me that much as an Illini fan.

Elways says NO to T.O.
Unfortunately, he'll end up with somebody. The overall talent will be too much for some dumb team to pass up.

Sox sign Amando Almanza
QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 11, 2006 -> 12:58 AM) That's not a bad scouting report for someone signed off the scrap heap. Agreed. Maybe Coop can work some more magic.
