I like Vasquez. But we've got a solid 5 man rotation. No way in hell would it benefit us to trade Marte. Lets just upgrade at catcher and hopefully second base and call it an off-season.

I totally agree with you. I would LOVE to have both. But if we sign just one of them "I hoping it's A.J." i'll be satisfied with this off-season.

A lot of people said Carl Everett was a "cancer" before we traded for him and he ended up being anything but. You gotta take a chance on this guy. He's got over 150 rbi's the last 2 years. It's worth the risk!

The Twins are clearly the favorites in the division. When you say toss up you mean for second place.

Very good game. I'm actually surprised it was so close. I expected a butt kickin by the Heat. Shaq played well before fouling out. Kobe was amazing for 3 and a half quarters. I'm startin to become a believer in the Heat's chances as far as atleast getting to the finals. The ONLY team in the east that could beat them in a 7 game series is obviously the Pistons. And they've looked pretty average to this point. That could all change down the road.

Hard to say, I think the talent is there. I'm still not convinced this team has 100% turned the corner. But this is the easten conference. 3 of the last years 8 east playoff teams were below .500. That includes Boston making it with a 36-46 record.

If you go by how the two teams have been playing of late, the Heat should win by 15-20. Shaq won't have any problem doing his thing against Mihm and Brian Grant. Wade and Damon Jones will be very hard for the Lakers to contain. I see the Heat winning rather easily.

I think Nocioni playing well was a big reason Deng only played 21 minutes. As far as Curry goes, I think Skiles wanted his best rebounders out there at the end.

Duhon has one of the best assist to turover ratio's in the league. I remember people saying he wouldn't even make the team. A second round steal at this point.
