  1. 1998 seems like 90 lifetimes ago....
  2. Simply amazing. And to think the guy was all but retired. I hope and pray he comes back next year. The Stros would have a sick staff with Clemens, Oswalt, Miller, Pettite, and Backe.
  3. I don't think they're faking, atleast I hope not. I was just wondering why these guys today seem so much more injury prone. Not just the nfl, but the nba as well. Southsider2k4 made a good observation. I think a lot of these guys today overdo it in the weight room.
  4. But wouldn't be being bigger, stronger, and faster, help you to better withstand those hits?
  5. Is it me, or despite the notion that today's nfl players are bigger, stronger, and faster than ever before, they're more injury prone than ever before?
  6. That was some Michael Jordan in his prime type s***. I love watching Ginobili. It's so nice to see the Lakers sucking so hard. It's gonna be a while before they recover from trading Shaq.
  7. Thanks for that article. I agree completely. Joe is testing everybody's patience. We're not asking for Scott Rolen. But this Jose Hernandez impersonation has got to stop.
  8. Atleast he has all off season to recover.
  9. So we can watch Bulls games now?
  10. 8 games worse then last year? Yikes :puke
  11. I saw Them. No surpsise though. He does that all the time. He's the best all-around player in the league.
  12. I don't think he's saying Kobe has to prove he can win with a bunch of nbdl guys. He just has to prove he can lead a a team ala Jordan as the focal point. Scottie, Rodman, Horace, Kerr, ect, all played their roles and were big reasons for the championships. But we know who was the MAIN reason.
  13. The Lakers aren't going anywhere without a legitimate post presence. Chris Mihm? Brian Grant? An old decrepid Vlade Divac? It's not happenin. They also have serious issues at pg. Chucky Atkins would be a nice backup, but he's not starter material. Their back ups are Sasha Vujacic and Tierre "I spent last season in the nbdl" Brown. I also question how well Kobe and Odom can coexist. They both need the ball in their hands a lot to be effective. Odom Shot 34% in the preseason and hasn't shot the ball well at all the first two games.
  14. This rivals the break up in 98.
  15. You are the weakest link. Good bye!
  16. A lot of people "including espn" thought we would either make the playoffs or have a shot at it last year. So now that they're picking us to suck means very little to me.
  17. Moises Alou and Steve Bartman.
  18. This is horrible news.
  19. Hawk and Stone would be the best Chicago tandem since Michael and Scottie.
  20. Yo Red, would a White Sox world series win top what the Red Sox have done?
  21. This world series was pathetic. I was looking foward to a competitive 6 or 7 game series. Props to the Red sox. I still can't fathom this team being 3 outs away from being swept 10 days ago to celebrating a world series title.
  22. I was lookin at some of the overall hr stats from the 80's. It's still staggering to see the the difference in hr's of today compared to then. Would 2001 Barry Bonds have hit 73 hr's in lets say 1987? In those days nobody hit more than 40. Would Bonds or Sosa hit 30+ more hr's than anybody else of that time? Just wanted to see what my fellow White Sox brother's and Sister's thought about this.
  23. What my man Yansy said.
  24. This was a no brainer. Great year for Paulie. This should up his trade value.
