Your Realistic 2014 Lineup
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 09:51 PM) Rick & co are not gonna punt the 2014 season. This is based on a couple whispers about potential targets if they can't land Abreu. Here is what I'd like to see: Rotation: Sale, Danks, Josh Johnson (FA), Santiago, Erik Johnson Bullpen: Reed, Jones, Lindstrom, Webb, Petricka, Leesman, Marinez LF: De Aza 2B: Beckham RF: Hunter Pence (FA) 3/$39 C: Brian McCann (FA) 4/$60 1B: Viciedo DH: Dunn CF: A. Garcia 3B: Brett Lawrie (Quintana trade) SS: Semien UT: Gillaspie IF: Keppinger OF: Danks C: Phegley What's your predicted lineup with Abreu?

The Question that Begs to be Asked and Answered
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 05:08 PM) anything else of note the last month? Tebow was cut by the Pats, Breaking Bad has been epic, Crawford signed a six year extension, I watched Life of Pi on HBO, and L Garcia is super fast!

Sell to Mark Cuban. Hello 300 million dollar payroll!- 4 Sox players are on the trading block
QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 06:36 PM) I'm not buying this "info", why in the world would De Aza be one of the four players on the entire team team that is on the trading block? They're trading him and Tank to make room for Jacoby Ellsbury and Hamilton.- Steve Stone NOT leaving
I still love Hawk. I love most of his cliches and spout them off to my wife and kids. I don't like the double 'YES'. I could care less about his grumpiness because I'm usually turning the game off when they turn ugly.- GT: Chicago White Sox @ Detroit Tigers
- Rotation change
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 11:30 AM) I agree with you on this. Last night was just stupid. In more ways then one. Everyone knew Peavy was done after 6. There's so many young arms in the pen there shouldn't be a fear of over using them.- Aj A clubhouse cancer?
2/20??? More like 2/12.- GT: Toronto Blue Jays @ Chicago White Sox
This game is OVA time to enjoy some (finally) great weather.- Twins. Sox. Gamethread. Part 3
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 05:26 PM) Heh I immediately thought the same thing.- Welcome to the White Sox, New Youk
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 07:03 AM) So is he gonna live in Skokie? Nah, Buffalo Grove. That's quite the commute though.- Sox. Brewers. Gamethread. part 2
It's all but official: Lilly is what's been wrong with this team the past few seasons!- Sox. Brewers. Gamethread. part 2
Hey, we might just score a run today!- Sox. Brewers. Gamethread. part 2
And Boston's picking up $ 5 Mil?- Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
I used to go to 5-10 games a year depending on how well the team was doing. It's about a 70-90 minute drive depending on traffic. But I haven't been to a game since my kids were born (son 3 daughter 1). Plan on returning to same amount once my boy starts to show interest.- Youkilis, $5.6 million traded to White Sox
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 21, 2012 -> 10:49 AM) Unless the White Sox are paying Peavy's contract, that's never gonna happen. I'd pay the contract and pick up the option year.- Substitute Gamethread: Sox vs Astros
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 10, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) Nobody. Astros got him off waivers. Gotcha, thanks- Substitute Gamethread: Sox vs Astros
Not sure why Paulie wasn't sliding there. Someone remind me, who did they trade Harrell for?- AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!
That family has great hair! I'm jealous with my receded power alleys.- Gordon Beckham vs. Joe Crede
QUOTE (Tannerfan @ May 31, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) I remember threads back in '05 where the consensious was Joe Crede while great defensively, would never be a decent third baseman because he couldn't hit. Crede invented the infield pop up, he was so slow if a man was on first it was a guaranteed double play. Things like that. Really the same type of criticism Beckham gets now. We tend to be cynical about some of our players when there here, then love them once they're gone. This has some truth to it. I used to call him Joe and 2. It seemed like every time he was up to bat, that was the count after two pitches. His swing was long and slow, but he did come around and really tuned in late in ball games. - Reinsdorf family succession plan
