  1. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
  2. So, you think that alcohol is less dangerous than weed? That is the point here, and you chose to avoid that question. And why did you avoid it? You avatar with all the beer decorations and your "minimum $1000 fine for weed possession" comment is a red flag for me...you got issues, bro.
  3. The fine should be at least $1000...wow. What the hell are you talking about? Look at your avatar...you have all of these beer decorations everywhere. How many people does alcohol kill or seriously injure ever year in one way or another? I suppose that it's less harmful than weed, yeah? I'm glad that I didn't grow up around people like you...sheesh.
  4. Who cares? Do us all a favor and go research the last 25 world series champions. If you're going to do something, you might as well do it right. Otherwise, I know of another team in this city that you should probably go root for, because Sox fans are supposed to be smart. That is our reputation.
  5. You completely missed the point. You don't have to be a baseball historian to understand that, in the vast majority of cases, a world series winner will have a strong bullpen. It's all right there for ya...do some freaking homework for Christ's sake. :rolly
  6. It's amazing, because all I hear on the radio these days are Cubs fans talking about how they'd be at least 10 games better in the standings if they had a legitimate closer, and had Hawkins in his rightful role -- setup mang. 10 games sounds like a drastic swing to me....let's just say 4 to 5 games better. That would have been enough.
  7. Wow, you're on a roll. No, the first two posters in this thread are dead on. You need a bullpen if you hope to win anything in this league. Name me one team that won a world series in the last 20 years that did not have one. I put together team sets for all world series teams since the early eighties because I have a s***load of baseball cards. Just a few that I'm looking at right now: 84 Tigers: Willie Hernandez, Aurelio Lopez, Doug Bair, etc 86 Mets: Jesse Orosco, Roger McDowell, Randy Myers, Terry Leach, etc 90 Athletics: Dennis Eckersley, Rick Honeycutt, Gene Nelson, Jim Corsi 91 Reds: Randy Myers, Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble, etc I'll let y'all fill in the blanks. All you need is a little common sense here, actually.
  8. I am the oldest. I have one brother who is three years younger than I am. We're Scotish/German, so both my dad and my little brother have that psycho gene. I'm more of a pussy in comparison, I guess you can say. Basically, I can't take him to a Sox game.
  9. Check out the Bobby Knight Salad Bar tirade as well. See, that's why I love Mike North.
  10. Steelers Colts Raiders Patriots Eagles Redskins Packers Panthers Saints Jets Titans Broncos Rams Ravens
  11. So, Clinton won both the 1992 and 1996 debates? What about Carter?
  12. I never witnessed any of these debates, but is this accurate? A guy on another message board whom I respect posted this: Mondale took Reagan, Dukakis took Bush, Perot took Clinton and Bush, and Gore took Bush. None of them cats won elections. What does it all mean?
  13. Well, I most definitely get the joke, as I've been completely surrounded by Polish people for my entire life here on the northwest side of Chicago. And yeah, I did tune into the Jon Stewart show afterwards (although I rarely ever watch it) and I was laughing my ass off for quite a while there...
  14. But...but...what about Poland? You forgot about Poland!
  15. Hmmm What in the world is going on around here when people can't even wait for a debate to end before they vote.
  16. That Dallas defense is pretty crazy, though. If they draft or sign an impact cornerback next year and keep their current unit intact, they could have the best defense in all of football.
  17. That game was painful to watch. Walt Harris did not commit pass interference -- take 7 points away from Dallas. Terrence Newman did commit pass interference, and blatant at that. Give 7 points to the Redskins. Final score? 25-14 Redskin winner. That's how I'll mark it down in my notebook, anyway. Wow, was that game pathetic. I would honestly look into taking out some knee caps with my trusty Roberto Clemente louisville slugger if I was Joe Gibbs.
  18. It's that last place schedule...they've played major butt teams like the 49ers, Cardinals, and the Rams so far. I just looked at the rest of their schedule, and it's crap. They should make the playoffs instead of the Vikings or Bucs. But in my opinion, they don't have much of a chance in the playoffs...not with a defense that allowed 380 yards per game last year, good enough for dead last in the league. You can't change that much overnight. I have to say that I'm a Michael Vick fan, however. Is that what drew you to the Falcons? Or are you originally from Atlanta?
  19. They were my pick for surprise team last year. They had basically the same defense -- Stroud, Henderson, Peterson, etc. After watching their first 3 or 4 games last year, I basically promised myself that I would stay away from that team. They had damn near every game won, and then they gave it away in the closing seconds. It never failed. This year, they're winning those games. It's their opponents who are giving them away. In all honestly, Jacksonville should be 0-3 right now. Buffalo had them beat. All that the Broncos had to do to beat them was bring in Elam to kick a field goal well within his range, but they elected to give it to Griffith one last time -- for what? I tuned in right before that happened...the saddest thing that I've seen all year, so far. I also watched a good amount of their game with the Titans today, and I figured that Jacksonville was toast through three quarters.
  20. Son of a b****....when will it ever end? :headshake Stay strong, man.
  21. I thought about highlighting Norman Hand, but I decided not to. He was good for a year or two, IIRC. I didn't notice Ruddy...I was looking for tackles and guards. I can't recall ever seeing a center drafted so high. All of your outstanding centers in this league are undrafted free agents and 6th+ round picks (Mawae, Kreutz, Birk, Nalen, etc). Although the Packers were wise to pick Flanagan in the 3rd round....very wise. Center is hands down the most slept on position on the draft board from what I can gather.
